Aside from “claiming” to have the power to save Padme, he was also offering Anakin entire star systems to rule in exchange for him betraying the Jedi Order. By the time Anakin tells Windu what was happening he was terribly conflicted but determined to see to it that Palpatine survived the confrontation no matter what. Besides, what task could Windu give him?
Anakin then went on the listen to Mace Windu and gained his trust. Anakin then became headmaster to the younglings where he cared for them and made them the best duelists.
His younglings became the future of the republic and many became masters of the force. The galaxy came to alignment once again and the battle between Jedi and Sith were equal.
Anakin: I think he’s a Sith Lord. Windu: are you sure? How do you know? Anakin: because he just fucking told me then tried to get me to betray you guys.
The whole reason he wasnt a master is because he wasnt eligible due to the fact that in order to become one he had to train a padawan to knighthood as obi wan trained him. Ahsoka left as a padawan thus making him ineligible to be a master jedi

And while rules are important, the fact that they all saw Ahsokas’ talent, leadership ability, and mental maturity before this moment is more than enough proof she was ready despite her not being there. It’s just Mace’s character that wouldn’t allow it… he was still mad Ahsoka declined the council’s offer to return. Free thinkers just rub him the wrong way, Dooku, Anakin, Ahsoka… I’d be willing to bet he didn’t like Quinlan Vos either lol. Honestly if he hadn’t made his “citizen” comment at that meeting, Ahsoka would’ve shared what Maul told her and they could’ve better prepared.
@@iiTzChilli no. Since ahsoka hasnt yet existed the prequel movies. She was only introduced in the clone wars cartoon. Hence she was never brought up during his evaluation. If he wasnt eligible then they didnt not need to evaluate him in the first place. They clearly gave a clear reason why he wasn't ready to be a master. Plus the council was having second thoughts about anakin because of palpatine influencing him.
But maybe, a, "great job young skywalker", i sense how powerful you are and you are correct, we cannot risk taking palpatine without you on our side, maybe that vote of confidence, especially from windu, might have given him the respect he wanted and appreciated windu and the council, that vote of confidence may just have been enough for anakin to remain a jedi and embrace the lightside but as the story goes,.......not that im complaining lol

Palps has already manipulated anakin enough to believe the he is the only one who could teach him to save his wife! Anakin wants him arrested but kept alive so he can have a chance to learn this power, but when that, and by extension in his mind, his wife, are threatened, he jumps in to save that path..
Mace didn't raise Anakin and didn't know how to talk to him like Obi-wan did. Mace tells him he doesn't trust him. It shook his faith in the Jedi that lead him to betray them.
With them not granting him the rank of master Palpatine was his last chance to save Padme. He wanted to be there not only to help, but to make sure Palpatine was taken alive

After already doubting the Jedi Order but holding on to whatever loyalty he had left, Anakin had to witness Windu approach dealing with Sidious in the worst way possible. I understood Windu's concerns with bringing Sidious to justice, but if he successfully killed him, what would that achieve? They didn't prove that the Chancellor is Sidious, which means the Jedi could have ended in a disaster anyway. It was that moment when Anakin was convinced the Jedi were no different than the Sith, so he had to choose between the Jedi Master who distrusted him and the Sith Lord who gave him hope. Sure, he regretted Windu's death, but there was no turning back. Anakin had nothing at that moment except guidance from Sidious and the will to save Padme.
If Anakin had been given the responsibility, he would've chosen the path of light. He just wanted to be trusted and loved. Viewed as a valuable asset. Not some bitch

Windus wording here is very important and well written. He basically told Annakin that he does not trust him, and alludes that he has not for a long time, which would have seeded the doubts in Annakin right before said crucial moment.
No, he had a personal hatred for Anakin ever since he was a child. In Lore it is so ridiculous the lengths they went to ostracize Anakin. If Windu doesn’t like you, he makes it massively obvious. In that final season of the clone wars, Ashoka even tries to give a final chance for a warning, and he gets pissy with her, all because she left the Jedi Order (one of the first in her generation, and the only one of his I remember was Count Dooku, so he judged her as if she was him) Honestly, he should have returned in Rebels as a bitter old man, screaming out his hypocrisy for the new generation (Ezra and Kanon) to hear, and realize how the order fell.

@Norinia Anakin always had a dark side. He murdered a bunch of sand people as a padawan. Obi Wan always worried about him and expressed that worry to the council too, even though he ultimately loved Anakin like a brother. Obi Wan never completely trusted him either. Yoda certainly never trusted him. They are Jedi. They all sensed the darkness, lies, and confusion in him. They sensed the dark side in him. Just facts. Anakin was always going to fall since Palpatine got his hooks in him.
This was the turning point right here. If Windu gave him any sort of order to show trust, like regrouping with Obi Wan or informing the council of the threat so they could quickly come back then it would have worked out. Instead, he was treated the same way like he always has been: a side character to his own story. Just a pat on the back and the good ol’ “Good job, champ! You earned a gold star!”
He couldn't have said that because he needs confirmation that what he's saying is true, Windu wasn't a hater, he legitimately knew Anakin was flirting with the darkside and had a right not to trust him, he would have gained his trust after Sidious was arrested

This is such an under-appreciated scene. In it, Anakin should loyalty and subservience to the jedi order, something they all knew was not easy as he was always so frustrated with them. Mace Windu is also seen here as showing probably the most respect he ever had. He recognised that Anakin was struggling with this and truly appreciated his coming forward. But... Mace couls sense Anakin's own fears and internal conflict and so told him to stay. This was actually an act of compassion as he didn't want to cause him further suffering.
And then Anikin waited in the council chambers until Mace Windu returned and after the conflict was granted the rank of Jedi master and then went on to raise his twin children with Padme and peace was finally restored in the galaxy.

He was angry, impulsive, fearful, proud, and was denied the rank of Master because he could never control his own fears. He broke and then refused his vows to the Jedi Order loving Padme and even committed (or tried to commit) genocide on the tuscan raiders for his mom. No. He was absolutely not trustworthy to Mace. He was a ticking time bomb of teenage angst and was willing to say anything to gbecome a Master - the entire council knew it - which is why he never made Master.
@@AnarexicSumo To be fair, he was denied the rank of master because he literally hadn't meet all the requirements. A Jedi Knight needs to have trained a Padawan into a Knight before they can become a Master. Asohka never became a Knight, so Anakin couldn't become a Master, yet.
Here is what is happening here. Windu is going for blood. He has no intention to arrest Palpatine. Anakin senses this and wants to prevent this happening because Palpatine made Anakin to believe, only himself can save Padme from death. On the other hand Windu also senses something is wrong with Anakin and asks him to stay away.

This moment is one of the most influential moments in Star Wars. Anakin had a choice here. He was ordered to stay behind by mace. He could have stayed behind never showed up and possibly stayed on the light side. But mace and the rest of the Jedi council didn't have Anakin's full trust and he questiones their judgement from all the decisions they had made prior.
I think he would have turned even if he did stay behind after learning that Mace killed Palpatine (assuming he won again). He would have gone off the deep end searching Palpatines records and belongings looking for any hint that may point him in the direction of the knowledge he sought. The issue was that Anakin felt like there was no one in the Jedi Order he felt he could trust enough with the secret that he had a wife with a child on the way, not even Obi-Wan. Palpatine was the only person Anakin felt he could trust with anything which is why he was so easily manipulated by him.

Anakin was long gone before this. It was his connection to Padme which made his disobey Windu. He has been Palpatine’s apprentice since before he fought Dooku. Palls had this orchestrated since the beginning of Attack of the Clones when he suggested pairing Anakin with Padme.
Mace windu could never defeat sidious. His pretend defeat was merely a manipulation by palpatine of anakin to make sure anakin crossed a line he believed he could never step back from.

After almost 40 years of being engrossed in the SW universe. I think this was the most pivotal moment that manifested the fall of the Jedi. It could have been a moment of triumph. If only Mace had given him that little extra guidance to Anakin. Sooo close

You have to understand that prior to Anakin's revelation the Jedi simply thought that Palpatine was being controlled/manipulated by Sidious,not that he was Sidious
He did, kinda. Mace was one of Anakin worse oppositors, if not the worst. If he had gained Mace's trust, then many of the others would question what made him change his opinion, and probably suport him.

If he had paid attention to Mace's orders, not only he would had become a Master (and had access to the info he was looking for), but seeing how Darth Vader was the one ultimately responsible for Padme'd death, she would have survived.

Windu dabbled in the dark side of the Force himself. Had he accepted Anakin as his padawan and trusted the boy, this could have all ended very differently.
You are right but it's even deeper than that. When Qui Gon presented the boy as the fulfilment of the prophecy, or the chosen one, both Yoda and Mace were taken aback. There were two very different interpretations of that prophecy to "bring balance." Yoda and Mace dreaded this prophecy as an omen that the Dark Side would make a resurgence and the Light Side would falter. It wasn't so much a distrust in Anakin, but rather the realization that he actually was the Chosen One and a massive distrust for the positivity interpretation other Jedi had for this prophecy. They saw it as a bad thing.
@nicholashernandez4611 No, it wasn't. You've misinterpreted what Vaapad is. It doesn't channel the Dark Side. When Jedi fight, they are totally at peace. With Vaapad, the goal is to utilize the Dark Side anger of your opponent against them. What sets Vaapad apart is the fact that it's very aggressive as a fighting style, designed to push your opponent further and further into anger until they slip, and you can take the triumphant last strike. It doesn't require that the user utilize the Dark Side. The Master of the Order would not be allowed to (nor risk) Dark Side use.
So anakin remained there and after a hard fought battle in which mace was the only survivor the chancellor was defeated the jedi order survived anakin was given the rank of master and padme delivered two force-gifted twins and everyone lived happily ever after.

Is it having children vs. being a father or mother? It’s a religious order of varying degrees. Priests don’t marry, yet Pastors do. Isn’t it all about how deep their faith in the Jed’ai practice belief forms? Aren’t planetary norms a factor? Not disagreeing, just setting up the question for discussion.
And then the Jedi would have kept on taking force sensitive children away from their parents at the ages between 0-5 and stripping said younglings of their emotions to turn them into a Jedi warrior bred for killing all that opposed there order in the guise of peacemakers of the galaxy.

It wouldn’t have mattered. Palpatine knew how to push Anakins buttons. It would’ve ended the same. Windu would’ve wanted to kill Palpatine,Anakin would want to stop him,it would’ve played out just the same.
Anakin and Mace are both very arrogant. If Anakin had just asked to go along, Mace may have let him. But since Anakin basically demanded he go and told Mace that he wasn’t powerful enough to do it without him, Mace basically told him to “sit DOWN young Skywalker” and stay there and wait for him to do it without him. Plus, Anakin wanted to go to ensure he protected Palpatine from harm and ensure Palps was only arrested and removed from power and not hurt or killed. Mace sensed this and used that as his excuse to not take Anakin along, even though it truthfully was only PART of the reason he didn’t want Anakin there. As it turns out, Mace was correct to worry about how Anakin would react if he would have to destroy Palps instead of just arrest him
Lot of people defending anakin but mace was right. He wasn’t asking too much of anakin and if he had listened to mace I’m sure anakin would have achieved the rank of full blown master jedi. Bigger than that mace rlly was looking out for anakin, Vader hates palpatine because he realized palp played him the entire time. Something mace was already aware of, something anakin was too naive to see. Mace sensed confused in anakin and was proven right at the moment anakin chose to protect palpatine instead of allowing him to be killed.
Also it’s funny how the reason he betrays mace windu was to protect padme but the fact that he betrayed mace windu lead to padme bringing obiwan to him and anakin accidentally causing her death
Ironic how mace asks anakin if he’s sure and he responds “absolutely”, because if we remember obi wans quote to anakin before their duel on mustafas later in the movie is that “only a smith deals in absolutes”

Its moments like these that clarify (in my eyes/opinion) that this is the best Star Wars Episode/chapter/movie. I can't help but feel that even when I KNOW that Anakin will become Vader, I always find myself still conflicted by the fact that Windu didn't let Anakin go with him, or Anakin learning to control his feelings. Everytime I watch this movie, to this day, I am always surprised when the plot happens. This movie makes you want to be in the other's shoes.
You know what he could have said so easily? “Anakin I sense you attachment to the Chancellor is clouding your judgment, and I don’t want you to have to be in the position to arrest a friend. Instead why don’t you inform the Senate as to what is going on so they don’t think we are launching a coup d’etas and in fact are saving the Republic, let’s preserve democracy!” Anakin feels like he is doing something good, and that Windu trusts him, and they all live happily ever after…
It was the jedi in general even kenobi that where so stuck in there ways. Anakin was a slave all he had was his mother, he is then taken from his mother, he becomes very powerful having visions of his mother all the while he is telling obi wan what he sees, never did they help anakin, when he finally decided to go on his own his mother was dead which he blamed himself for and the jedi for blowing him off. Also the jedi council never trusted anakin because he started his training late and already developed traits that could lead to the dark side.

Notice how Anakin believes Windu is going to “arrest him”. If he had gone with him and then realised Windu was going to kill the chancellor then it would of most likely turned out the same.

In this fight 2 Jedi Masters tragically die, and Kit Fisto gets badly injured. Palpatine tries to fight both Windu and Anakin, but he is no match for their combined strength. Palpatine gets arrested and Jedi Order proves him being a Sith Lord. Palpatine gets executed by clones for starting Clone Wars, for mass murder, and for attempt to destroy both Republic and Jedi Order. Anakin becomes Jedi Master and his nightmares never visit him again. Luke and Leia both born and Padme lives. Anakin reveals his marriage, but he doesn't get kicked out of Order. After couple of years Yoda dies of old age, and Anakin gets his place as Jedi Order Grand-Master. Luke and Leia both become Jedi Knights, and Ahsoka becomes Jedi Master. Anakin and Mace both become close friends, and Jedi Order lives, while clones are protecting peace in galaxy. Republic make an alliance with Mandalore, while keeping Mandalore's sovereignty. Perhaps if Windu had let Anakin come along, Anakin would've developed more animosity against Palps in the fight and would've been more inclined to kill him. Anakin and Mace would've developed greater respect and trust for each other throughout the fight and it might've made Mace reconsider making Skywalker a Master.
I think mace made the right move not to let anakin come because if he can with mace I think that he would be confused on what side to be on and he would just get in the way possible even getting killed
Anakin was conflicted because he thought that Sidious was the only one who knew how to save his wife. So believe it or not, Mace Windu was right this time telling Anakin to stay back.
I don’t want them to bring him back to life, he’s one of my favourite characters but having him come back and just hide in the shadows during order 66 would ruin his character for me
@@marleymol3610 The Jedi lore is kind of already screwed up because supposedly Luke Skywalker was the only Jedi after Yoda. But in these past few series It looks like there's a lot more Jedi that are just in hiding. It kind of breaks the story a little bit but I don't see any reason why windu didn't fall in a passing car or stop himself before hitting the ground
I think Kenobi was a great chance, if they'd done the series good, could have made that he survived and was now blind, with just one arm and living in a remote planet with some Jedi and force wilders, planing to out throne the sith when time came. But obviously they were discover and killed by Vader, the grand inquisitor and some troopers

Good ending: windu understands that this feels personal for Anakin and that he must see this through himself so he allows him to come, Palpatine gets easily defeated by the combined power of windu and Anakin so they get to arrest him without needing to resort to trying to killing him. Once Palpatine is in prison Anakin realizes sidious was lying to him about the way to possibly save padme
Windu had the ability to see shatterpoints, moments that bore great significance to future events, although interpreting them was sketchy in the best of times. With the dark side clouding their vision he could see the shatterpoint involving bringing Anakin to the confrontation, however he interpreted it poorly.
Windu wanted him out of it because anakin knew himself it wasn’t a good place for him to be in. But trust me I understand lol Mace just had to let him know that it was “Grown folk conversation” going on after that😂
Also there's the fact that Mace and his Jedi posse went to Palpatine's office with the intention of killing him. Why? It was exactly as Mace said, Palpatine had power over the Senate and the courts,a trial would've been a farce. Palpatine was too dangerous to be left alive. Had Anakin been there,he would've attempted to stop Mace from killing Palpatine

Crazy how Anakin goes from turning him in to serving him for life in just like a few hours.
After already doubting the Jedi Order but holding on to whatever loyalty he had left, Anakin had to witness Windu approach dealing with Sidious in the worst way possible. I understood Windu's concerns with bringing Sidious to justice, but if he successfully killed him, what would that achieve? They didn't prove that the Chancellor is Sidious, which means the Jedi could have ended in a disaster anyway. It was that moment when Anakin was convinced the Jedi were no different than the Sith, so he had to choose between the Jedi Master who distrusted him and the Sith Lord who gave him hope.
Sure, he regretted Windu's death, but there was no turning back. Anakin had nothing at that moment except guidance from Sidious and the will to save Padme.

Obi Wan always worried about him and expressed that worry to the council too, even though he ultimately loved Anakin like a brother. Obi Wan never completely trusted him either. Yoda certainly never trusted him.
They are Jedi. They all sensed the darkness, lies, and confusion in him. They sensed the dark side in him. Just facts. Anakin was always going to fall since Palpatine got his hooks in him.
This was the turning point right here. If Windu gave him any sort of order to show trust, like regrouping with Obi Wan or informing the council of the threat so they could quickly come back then it would have worked out.
Instead, he was treated the same way like he always has been: a side character to his own story. Just a pat on the back and the good ol’ “Good job, champ! You earned a gold star!”

This is such an under-appreciated scene. In it, Anakin should loyalty and subservience to the jedi order, something they all knew was not easy as he was always so frustrated with them. Mace Windu is also seen here as showing probably the most respect he ever had. He recognised that Anakin was struggling with this and truly appreciated his coming forward. But... Mace couls sense Anakin's own fears and internal conflict and so told him to stay. This was actually an act of compassion as he didn't want to cause him further suffering.
And then Anikin waited in the council chambers until Mace Windu returned and after the conflict was granted the rank of Jedi master and then went on to raise his twin children with Padme and peace was finally restored in the galaxy.
It's crazy that it took this long for Windu to trust Anakin.
He ends up more or less responsible for Windu's death, so not really.

This is how I see happened the whole time they treated Anakin like a kid and got the reaction of a kid something bad was bound to happen sooner or later and Mace was foolish to get caught the way he did.
To top it off he decided to take the other 3 jedi which were silly even Kit FIsto couldn't put up a fight, if he asked Yoda or Obi-wan for some advice through a hologram they would have told Mace to wait, Palpatine was never on the run.
In conclusion I don't believe Mace was at fault but he played into a very foolish mistake at this point in time
This moment is one of the most influential moments in Star Wars. Anakin had a choice here. He was ordered to stay behind by mace. He could have stayed behind never showed up and possibly stayed on the light side. But mace and the rest of the Jedi council didn't have Anakin's full trust and he questiones their judgement from all the decisions they had made prior.
I think he would have turned even if he did stay behind after learning that Mace killed Palpatine (assuming he won again). He would have gone off the deep end searching Palpatines records and belongings looking for any hint that may point him in the direction of the knowledge he sought. The issue was that Anakin felt like there was no one in the Jedi Order he felt he could trust enough with the secret that he had a wife with a child on the way, not even Obi-Wan. Palpatine was the only person Anakin felt he could trust with anything which is why he was so easily manipulated by him.

Windu dabbled in the dark side of the Force himself. Had he accepted Anakin as his padawan and trusted the boy, this could have all ended very differently.
You are right but it's even deeper than that. When Qui Gon presented the boy as the fulfilment of the prophecy, or the chosen one, both Yoda and Mace were taken aback. There were two very different interpretations of that prophecy to "bring balance." Yoda and Mace dreaded this prophecy as an omen that the Dark Side would make a resurgence and the Light Side would falter. It wasn't so much a distrust in Anakin, but rather the realization that he actually was the Chosen One and a massive distrust for the positivity interpretation other Jedi had for this prophecy. They saw it as a bad thing.

With Vaapad, the goal is to utilize the Dark Side anger of your opponent against them. What sets Vaapad apart is the fact that it's very aggressive as a fighting style, designed to push your opponent further and further into anger until they slip, and you can take the triumphant last strike. It doesn't require that the user utilize the Dark Side. The Master of the Order would not be allowed to (nor risk) Dark Side use.

It wouldn’t have mattered. Palpatine knew how to push Anakins buttons. It would’ve ended the same. Windu would’ve wanted to kill Palpatine,Anakin would want to stop him,it would’ve played out just the same.

This was Anakin's final test, and he failed miserably. Had he listened, he would be granted the master title.

Anakin and Mace are both very arrogant. If Anakin had just asked to go along, Mace may have let him. But since Anakin basically demanded he go and told Mace that he wasn’t powerful enough to do it without him, Mace basically told him to “sit DOWN young Skywalker” and stay there and wait for him to do it without him.
Plus, Anakin wanted to go to ensure he protected Palpatine from harm and ensure Palps was only arrested and removed from power and not hurt or killed. Mace sensed this and used that as his excuse to not take Anakin along, even though it truthfully was only PART of the reason he didn’t want Anakin there. As it turns out, Mace was correct to worry about how Anakin would react if he would have to destroy Palps instead of just arrest him

Lot of people defending anakin but mace was right. He wasn’t asking too much of anakin and if he had listened to mace I’m sure anakin would have achieved the rank of full blown master jedi. Bigger than that mace rlly was looking out for anakin, Vader hates palpatine because he realized palp played him the entire time. Something mace was already aware of, something anakin was too naive to see. Mace sensed confused in anakin and was proven right at the moment anakin chose to protect palpatine instead of allowing him to be killed.
Also it’s funny how the reason he betrays mace windu was to protect padme but the fact that he betrayed mace windu lead to padme bringing obiwan to him and anakin accidentally causing her death
Anakin didn’t cause Padme’s death. She died during childbirth.

Its moments like these that clarify (in my eyes/opinion) that this is the best Star Wars Episode/chapter/movie.
I can't help but feel that even when I KNOW that Anakin will become Vader, I always find myself still conflicted by the fact that Windu didn't let Anakin go with him, or Anakin learning to control his feelings. Everytime I watch this movie, to this day, I am always surprised when the plot happens.
This movie makes you want to be in the other's shoes.
You know what he could have said so easily?
“Anakin I sense you attachment to the Chancellor is clouding your judgment, and I don’t want you to have to be in the position to arrest a friend.
Instead why don’t you inform the Senate as to what is going on so they don’t think we are launching a coup d’etas and in fact are saving the Republic, let’s preserve democracy!”
Anakin feels like he is doing something good, and that Windu trusts him, and they all live happily ever after…
All Windu's fault. Kept pushing Anakin down at every turn.
It was the jedi in general even kenobi that where so stuck in there ways. Anakin was a slave all he had was his mother, he is then taken from his mother, he becomes very powerful having visions of his mother all the while he is telling obi wan what he sees, never did they help anakin, when he finally decided to go on his own his mother was dead which he blamed himself for and the jedi for blowing him off. Also the jedi council never trusted anakin because he started his training late and already developed traits that could lead to the dark side.

Notice how Anakin believes Windu is going to “arrest him”. If he had gone with him and then realised Windu was going to kill the chancellor then it would of most likely turned out the same.

Then Jedi Masters get into Palpatine's office, and when Palpatine realises, that his plan failed he attempts to fight them. In this fight 2 Jedi Masters tragically die, and Kit Fisto gets badly injured. Palpatine tries to fight both Windu and Anakin, but he is no match for their combined strength. Palpatine gets arrested and Jedi Order proves him being a Sith Lord. Palpatine gets executed by clones for starting Clone Wars, for mass murder, and for attempt to destroy both Republic and Jedi Order. Anakin becomes Jedi Master and his nightmares never visit him again. Luke and Leia both born and Padme lives. Anakin reveals his marriage, but he doesn't get kicked out of Order. After couple of years Yoda dies of old age, and Anakin gets his place as Jedi Order Grand-Master. Luke and Leia both become Jedi Knights, and Ahsoka becomes Jedi Master. Anakin and Mace both become close friends, and Jedi Order lives, while clones are protecting peace in galaxy. Republic make an alliance with Mandalore, while keeping Mandalore's sovereignty.

Wonder what would have happened if Windu killed the chancellor without Anakin being there as he was ordered how Anakin would of turned out
If Windu had said "If he's who you say he is Someone needs to stay at the temple incase the arrest team don't come back"
If windu said if what you have said is true you will become a Master.
Perhaps if Windu had let Anakin come along, Anakin would've developed more animosity against Palps in the fight and would've been more inclined to kill him. Anakin and Mace would've developed greater respect and trust for each other throughout the fight and it might've made Mace reconsider making Skywalker a Master.
I think mace made the right move not to let anakin come because if he can with mace I think that he would be confused on what side to be on and he would just get in the way possible even getting killed
Anakin was conflicted because he thought that Sidious was the only one who knew how to save his wife. So believe it or not, Mace Windu was right this time telling Anakin to stay back.
I hope we get to see windu again

I don’t want them to bring him back to life, he’s one of my favourite characters but having him come back and just hide in the shadows during order 66 would ruin his character for me
@@marleymol3610 The Jedi lore is kind of already screwed up because supposedly Luke Skywalker was the only Jedi after Yoda. But in these past few series It looks like there's a lot more Jedi that are just in hiding. It kind of breaks the story a little bit but I don't see any reason why windu didn't fall in a passing car or stop himself before hitting the ground
I think Kenobi was a great chance, if they'd done the series good, could have made that he survived and was now blind, with just one arm and living in a remote planet with some Jedi and force wilders, planing to out throne the sith when time came. But obviously they were discover and killed by Vader, the grand inquisitor and some troopers

Good ending: windu understands that this feels personal for Anakin and that he must see this through himself so he allows him to come, Palpatine gets easily defeated by the combined power of windu and Anakin so they get to arrest him without needing to resort to trying to killing him. Once Palpatine is in prison Anakin realizes sidious was lying to him about the way to possibly save padme

Windu had the ability to see shatterpoints, moments that bore great significance to future events, although interpreting them was sketchy in the best of times. With the dark side clouding their vision he could see the shatterpoint involving bringing Anakin to the confrontation, however he interpreted it poorly.

Also there's the fact that Mace and his Jedi posse went to Palpatine's office with the intention of killing him.
Why?
It was exactly as Mace said, Palpatine had power over the Senate and the courts,a trial would've been a farce.
Palpatine was too dangerous to be left alive.
Had Anakin been there,he would've attempted to stop Mace from killing Palpatine
