Jet vac is weak
I know why you didn`t like sunburn. You didn`t run away from the flame sculptures, that would`ve killed any fire skylander in seconds too... INCLUDING FLAMESLINGER! I don`t know why you didn`t run away from the flames. It was probably just nieve young crash that didn`t know much, bu now thankfully, you do know much! I know you like sunburn now, I just wanted to explain why you probably didn`t like him at first.
+Christina Bienkowski I don't like Jet Vac either :P Not a fan of his design, usually not a fan of Skylanders with abilities to fly (especially when it's limited flight) and his airballs deal about as much damage as you'd expect compressed air somehow traveling at that speed would deal. Still subject to opinion, though.

when it comes to blast zone, I turn the battlefield into certain tragedies
Stealth elf is op. She tears through a level quickly. I understand why she is there for her low health, however this is where the speed and invisablitily move comes in. If used right, stealth elf can sprint throw levels and in an extremely satisfying way

The guys on this list are around the middle for me. There not my favorites and the only one that I really don’t like is sprocket. Most of these guys are just guys that I don’t hate or like. There just in the middle

@@catpip_ Okay, I like Roller Brawl, Chill, Hex, Wind-Up, and Food Fight. Also, they do go into battle in a season 2 episode. Oh, and let's not forget, they're SIDE CHARACTERS! They're not meant to be the stars, and as it's CLEARLY established, by that point, they were only Skylanders in training, not official Skylanders yet. Also, Bad Breath was created exclusively for the show, and I think he's a really creative character.

It really hurts me that my most favorite, Blast Zone is on this list. I personally think he’s pretty solid, his fire breath can power up his bombs, and his bombs can be pretty accurate up close. His dash attack can be useful for mobility and dodging attacks and taking out weak enemies. And swapping his bottom out for someone like Night Shift’s or Magna Charge’s can really make him pretty OP.

Considering that this video was made almost 5 years ago, and the majority of Skylanders fans were children, it’s no surprise that there’s quite a bit of salt in the comments (though not nearly as toxic as other fan bases, such as Sonic for example), but because I’m an adult, I will speak much more maturely than most of the other people here, as well as provide more constructive criticism.
Anyway, I couldn’t help but notice that when you rank Skylanders from worst to best, the only aspect you ever seem to discuss or focus on, is their movesets and how you consider them to be “useful” when fighting in-game. Now it is true that gameplay is one of the most important essential parts of any video game, but at the same time, there’s more to these characters than just their fighting moves or how much damage they do. I feel like you don’t take as much time to look at and appreciate the characters themselves. They’re not just blank slates that look cool and fight good, all Skylanders have their own definitive personality traits, which are a big part of what make them likeable and memorable. For instance, I don’t just like Stealth Elf because she’s powerful or defeats enemies faster than most Skylanders, but also because her “character” in general is great! She has sort of an intimidating bad*** assassin vibe (though not a complete edgelord) like most ninjas do, which really shown often when she talks, fights, or just her mere presence alone says you don’t wanna mess with her! While Acedemy’s portrayal of her younger self kinda contradicts some of those traits just a little (though ads a few interesting new traits to her character as well), but her portrayal in the Skylanders novels and comic books showcases those definitive traits of her’s quite well! Like that time she intimidated Wash Buckler when he told her to relax, or when got mad at Drill Sergeant for calling her sir and said “Sir? SIR? Do I look like a sir to you?” You could totally feel like that! (Or I did at least) You get what I’m saying here right?...
Anyway enough about Stealth Elf, I also feel like I need to speak in defense of Ninjini. While it is true that her moveset isn’t the most “useful” of all Giants (and the bottle thing is a little confusing I’ll admit), but that doesn’t automatically make her a bad character. Not only is she the only female giant (which alone should be worth something), but there are very few video games that utilize a “Genie” character, which is a very interesting and underrated concept in video games! Sure Shantae has gotten fairly popular, but other than that, can you think of any other genies in video games besides her and Ninjini? As for Ninjini’s character, she has a certain charm to her. Maybe it’s her unique colourful attention-grabbing design, her fierce yet elegant flow when she fights, or her awesome voice that sounds both bad*** and attractive at the same time, which makes her perfectly fitting catchphrase “Any last wishes?” sound even better! While I kinda agree that playing as her isn’t as satisfying as other Skylanders, but it’s her charm and personality I find more appealing about her character more-so than her in-game moveset. If you ask me, it’s a similar feel to fans of the game Cuphead who say “I love Cuphead, but I don’t love playing Cuphead.” As in they love the characters and unique artistic style, but the gameplay is often frustrating and not always fun in some areas. If you really think about it, it’s kind of a similar case with Ninjini, or at least that’s how I see it...
I’m simply looking at these characters from a different perspective, as there’s much more to them outside their movesets or in-game numbers and stuff. Hopefully you’ll learn to appreciate the characters in the same fashion. But of course we all have different views of things, such as what makes a good character in our eyes, and those views should remain respected.
This video was *about* the usability of the skylanders from his experience, and apparently some bad experiences he had with them. I see what you're trying to say though, although your point was already understood after the first example with Stealth Elf, so you dragged on a bit. Just saying 😅🤷♂️
Ngl growing up I found all of these (except blastzone and wham shell) to be fun to play as. Yeah, ninjini was kinda weak compared to some like eyebrawl and thumpback, but she was Hella fun to use dammit, and drill seargent's dash attack was probably my favorite thing in SA

I remember getting stuck in those flames, i used Sunburn, Ignitor and Flameslinger, all got insta killed because i kept walking into the flames so sure i would not take damage because they were Fire elements. i remember being annoyed at the bad game logic.

If he said this skylander looks stupid then fair, but if you put a top tier skylander like stealth elf at number 2 without any good explanation you deserve to be criticized

I do aswell and wham shell is my second favourite skylander of all time.
I find this really interesting because it shows how playstyles differ between people. I play stealth elf all the time and do really well with her, and ninjini is my other most used skylander. I value characters that feel fast (I don't understand people calling ninjini slow). my boyfriend, on the other hand is a god with sunburn. he cannot die. he can teleport and come out with the flame breath locked onto a monster just about as well as you could with double trouble. then i watch this, and he says that he isn't good with any of those characters. the difference between all three is vast.
Sunburn is really good IMO. He can teleport to 4 locations of your choosing and that can be insane in PVP.

It’s so sad that the older skylanders are basically not in stores anymore except for the preowned baskets at EB Games or something.. there are a tonne of older skylanders I still want, series 1 Slam Bam was one of them, and I was lucky enough to find it in the basket, but I also want ones like Scratch, from swapforce and a new Lightcore Eruptore because he was my first skylanders ever but he broke. They should make it so in a store like Target or something there would be sections of each series of skylanders games, because it’s really hard to get the older ones

Jet-Vac is part of HELL.
The thing with ninjini is that you’ve got to hold you’re primary attack button to make her wish blades affective. If you don’t there will be a gap before you can use it again, and het bottle ability is good if you choose the bottom upgrade path.

Steal their isn't terrible either her primary and combos are extremely over powered and she can temporarily hide from enemies and perform a sneak attack. Also there are other skylanders like Boomer, trigger happy, and ignitor who have less health then stealing elf( lvl 10) and are pretty good, so saying that doesn't make sense.
Somebody doesn’t seem to get that Series 2 releases (etc.) aren’t designed to make any characters better, except for giving them one upgrade. The only exception to this is Eon’s Elite Skylanders.

I disagree with Sprocket. She not only means so much to me since my dad got me her, and because of that I will prize her forever, she was my favorite skylander for a while because I loved her attacks.

You know who else I disagree with? Ninjini. Her swords are EPIC. I was stuck on Thumpin' Wumpa Islands, Fake Crash boss fight. ALL my senseis died (and so did Knight Light, Knight Mare, and Tree Rex.). Then I put Ninjini on and she beat the crap out of him!!!!!!!
I like how you broke down each pick and have a good reason to like or dislike them. A lot of people jump to defend their favourite but never realize you can't please everyone. I thought Thumpin' Wumpa Islands was easy, beat it with only one of my Imaginators but everyone has a different time. Thanks for the awesome comment!!!

K lemme nerd out. When you pick the Starfish path, Wham-shell's Starfishes are actually pretty powerful and GEEEZ Stealth Elf is probably the most powerful Skylander in Spyro's Adventure along with Gill Grunt and Terrafin

Wamshell is amazing! His star fish are trash but his mace when upgraded can do same serious damage! In swap force on the dummy he does 2800+ damage

This is a very accurate list for me, everysingle charachter you putted on that list is also my least favs. They are slow and dont deal that much damage. You really do understand this game

Okay ninjini isn't even terrible, her sword attack is slow but does pretty good damage, in 4 hits she does 100 damage and her jini bottle and the special attack aren't even that bad.

Blastzone with his rocket shield is an absolute animal. If I get to a level that I have trouble beating he's my boy. Sometimes I even feel bad for making it too easy

Prism Break isn't one that you'd want as your only character because he's not the greatest long or short range, but especially in the early games it was really neat that he could hit enemies on platforms and even behind walls. He could also break those crystals without using a pick axe.

I disagree with lightning rod though when I fully upgraded his secondary attack it was pretty good and he looked so cool when he became big, also his primary and special attacks were actually good so I don't know why you say he's terrible well unless you first get him though.

Crash I disagree with prism break because whenever I use him he's pretty good, the reason why is because when ever I defeat an enemy a smaller crystal appears and when I shoot it the laser beam it bounces off it, this means if multiple engines are near and I defeat some of them the Laser beams beams will bounce off hit and defeat multiple engines at once. Also I chose his yellow crystal path which makes the laser beam stronger and have more range. Most people choose the other path which is a big mistake, the armor barley protects you and your laser beam does less damage and has less range.

Except for Super Chargers, Stealth Elf is one of my ‘go to’ figures…especially when she’s fully upgraded. How on Earth did she rank so high on you list?

Hello! So about Drill Sergeant (my fav 😅), I think that it’s bad without the upgrades, but with the first path he’ll become amazing. Like against a flamethrower for example, shoot from a distance, once he gets close with the flames, just bulldoze through him to a next position. It’s easy and I speedran Giants with every time limit completed (Medium mode)
And also if blastzone isn’t inaccurate you just need to hit your shots
Ironic that your #2 & 3 are my top 2 favorites....I've loved Stealth Elf from day 1, and Ninjini was the Giant I most wanted. I also really love Sprocket & enjoy playing Wham-Shell....
my least favorites, in no particular order:
Eruptor ( never got his popularity...big freaking whup, he can puke lava. )
Prism Break
Drill Sergent
Warnado
Astroblast ( too slow and so weak even a chompy takes multiple kicks to take out. worst Skylander move ever... )
Chompy Mage ( I just find him awkward to use....I like the character in general, just not his playable Sensei form )
Riptide
Blastermind ( his only redeeming factor is his ability to bypass lock puzzles IMO )
Shroomboom ( super awkward to use, and I just don't like him much )
Pop Fizz ( again with the awkwardness...and his Big Bubble Supercharger form isn't much better )
dishonorable mentions: Hurricane Jet-Vac ( I like the normal version, but his Supercharger form sucks big time ), Fryno ( awkward to use IMO... ), Ignitor ( never got the hang of his playstyle )
There are two things that make a Skylander a favorite / not. Ninjini is one of my favorites because I love her design. Her moveset isn't very good at all, and enemies kind of wipe the floor with her, so I get what you're saying. Still, she looks great, so I'll always have her in my top ten.
Stealth Elf is cooler than you might think. It's a little tricky activating her area attack, but once you master it, it's super useful. She lacks a ranged atack, so to use her well requires some skillful dodging,, but her Sylvan Regenetation (self healing) makes up for it. She's not great for button mashing, but she's a ninja, so it makes sense she'd need more finesse.
And this my friends is where the socket hate began
2:31 My father did play with Sprocket a lot in Giants, but after that he really hasn't done much with her after that. I mean her Turrets are interesting and she seems more like a "trapper/set up" Skylander then just an all out attacker or some tank.

The flames at the dragon’s peak are murderous... fourtunately I only lost ghost roaster (I was going to use him for ectoplasm mode, but he spawned right in the flames).
