Also, small trivia: when the balls talk about the % of their debts, they are referring to their debt with respect to the % of their GDP (gross domestic product).

Singapore doesn't actually have debt problems though, as proven by their AAA credit rating. The Singaporean government only ever borrows money to invest into assets (such as infrastructure), and since their external assets are worth more than their external liabilities, Singapore's net national debt is actually zero. If anything, Singapore is one of the world's few creditor nations, meaning that they lend MORE money than they borrow.
I believe the high debt come from CPF which makes it so high, so itâs not necessary national debt(I think)

And I went back and checked and it turns out they owe the US 1.1 TRILLION dollars.
