Nice vedio. It gives people a proper background of this history, but to be fair it's a little biasd. In this vedio America is depicted as a mediator between China and Taiwan, but it is actually not. In the year 1949, when China is preparing to lunch the finnal strike on the KMT remaining forces on the Taiwan island. US determined to interfere the Korea civil war, and the then President of the US, Truman said "if CCP are to occupy Taiwan Island, will directly threaten the safty of the Pacific Rim, and the safty of the US army". They actually see Taiwan as a outpost and a unsinkable carrier. Then US sent a fleet to the Taiwan Strait, which made the CCP finally decide to throw its main forces into the Korean War, and delayed the attack on Taiwan.

I like how the US and NATO are shown so peacefully and threatened by the USSR. It is soooo realistic. (Sarcasm). Just to know. It's the US who organized NATO to prevent the spread of communism. It's the US who always tried to push the USSR and the whole Socialist Block. See "Plan Polonia" of Brzezinsky.
