Was brilliance.
He shouldn't have let nick get away with those 12 straight correct game predictions the first two rounds the lakers played, either
Nick’s avoidance of calling a close sweep but clearly believing it’s a close sweep is hilarious
Not even true, in the context of the conversation the Lakers played closer games in their losses than the Suns, you can look up the point differential or just rewatch the video, the Suns did manage to get two games, but that was with Booker and KD having all time scoring nights as duos, the Lakers by point differential played the Nuggets closer in every game, but he's not saying it was a close series, that's a significant difference
@samuelgaona7196 facts thank you ppl are just so caught up mine trying to prove nick wrong
@@samuelgaona7196 sorry buddy but a team that gets swept was definitely not closer than a team that got 2 games off the eventual NBA champions while losing their starting point guard, and center and no bench. The fact that KD and booker had the capability to have all time scoring nights and get 2 games and the lakers having a more complete roster and still not being able to get a single game just means that they were not close at all.
@@BC21beatsyeah Nick was using the theory that if a close sweep is a thing then a 6 game blowout should be a thing too but they didn’t want to recognize that part of it. With the Suns big 3 combined experience and skill set the expectation is they win a chip. Doesn't mean they are favorites. And by your logic losing in 6 in wcsf it's better than a team reached the wcf? And you think if the suns kayed against the warriors they could've won? And then meet the young Denver in wcf so you think the suns would've won a game against the nuggets in wcf? With more games and maybe even kd injured based on how many mpg he was playing?
I mean you're describing it by the negative to make it sound stupid, the reality is would you rather win more overall games by having made it to the conference finals even if you get swept, or would you rather have lost more games than you won and go home in the second round? I think any sane person would choose the first choice, but then making it far and losing has turned into a way to discredit Lebron so Bron haters think losing earlier is better

Not only is Ayton not part of a Big anything, he's the biggest reason why Jokic and the Nuggets will have a field day over the Suns. And Beal is more like a half. So really, the Suns have a BIG TWO and a half.

Everyone is acting like Booker is going to keep shooting 237% from the field for the rest of his life. And Beal is somehow going to come up with 20 shots that they didnt have before adding a negative defender.
"Everyone is acting like Booker is going to keep shooting 237% from the field for the rest of his life." I was thinking the same thing. The Suns didn't have very good defense last year, and its worst this year.
@@jamesdomenico2953we have no idea what the Suns defense will be like next year. They have a different coach.

I have to admit I enjoyed this one..😂😂 2 min soliloquy on a close sweep😂 That is what it sounded like.
Nick is literally describing a close sweep without saying it lmaaooo
It's so obviously Phoenix. The Lakers had a great supporting cast around their two stars with Reaves and Rui playing extremely well but they couldn't even win a game because their stars just can't match up with Denver. Phoenix had a comically bad supporting cast and won two games because their stars were that good. What's more likely to change, Lakers old stars getting drastically better or Phoenix getting much better role players, which they've already started to do with Beal? Get real
Suns will have less of a supporting cast nest year. Beal is not a playoff guy and his defense is some of the worst in the league.

You're wrong, he was talking about point differentials. The Lakers were closer than the Suns and not only that, the Timberwolves were closer than them as well (who lost in round 1) without two of their best players. The Nuggets hardest opponents during the playoffs was the Bulls who had Jimmy Butler choking so hard. Nick did a bad job of explaining what he was trying to iterate.

Suns may have won 2 but the lakers even though they got swept only loss by a combined 24 pts . That’s the lowest total in NBA history for a team being swept .

Nick is right about which series is closer, or which is more reversible. Is it more likely Book/KD could go for 80 four times or the Lakers make about 3 more shots and the Nuggets don't shoot way above their expected FG%.
Thank you
So the Knicks are closer to the finals than Milwaukee are? Problem with your statement is the if factor, they're using actual facts, that's like saying Brooklyn was closer to Boston than Milwaukee were last year. Suns actually won 2 games, so did Milwaukee vs Boston last year. There's no way Lakers are closer especially when you've added a player for someone that didn't play in those two victories. Chris Paul didn't play after the 2nd game and you've essentially added an all-star to the team without losing any other piece. Suns have gotten better, Lakers have the same team. We can argue that if Suns had Beal this season then we would've seen a 7 game series I still think Denver would've won but the series would go down to the wire. Plus it's not impossible for Book and KD to go for 80 and now with Beal they don't have to.
Something is really wrong with Nick 😂😂😂
Nah Wildes adlivs is pure comedic gold 😂😂
I wanna go to the commercials 😂
Coming from a Nuggets fan, it is the Lakers (if they keep Reeves). We swept the Lake show but all four games were close. They can play defense and made getting buckets harder for the Nuggets.
Nuggets may have to score 120+ against the Suns, but that line up is not stopping anyone much less an offense like Denver's. It will be even easier for Jok and the Nuggets to score if the Suns get rid of Ayton.
Ur dumb suns took 2 games without a supporting cast if they gel it’s them but I think the best la can be rn without major trades would be to lose in 6-7 to the nuggets.
Agreed. Nick said average points in losses for the Suns was 17 and the Lakers was 6.
Suns won 2 games lakers won none shouldnt even be a discussion
Suns took 2 games from you guys ( the only team to do that in Nuggets whole playoff run) and in 5 games it was KD , Book and bunch of farmers, definately they did better than getting swept. they are challengers closer than you think.

No one is guaranteed to win, but barring injury you're going to have Porter and KCP playing better (because they were below their averages), Brown being even a little better (because he's definitely on the upswing) and Braun being A LOT better (now with this experience). Joker and Murray are going to be themselves and Gordon is rock solid.
Nobody is beating them unless someone important gets hurt or they just have an epic collapse where multiple players shoot far below their averages and a team can play well enough against Murray to keep him to normal numbers.
@SDesWriter They might lose Bruce Brown though.
@@imdbtruth It's a fair point. You never know when it comes to money, but he was really basking in the fan adoration. If I was them I'd rather have him than Porter (I know they play different positions but they could have a small lineup). You give him 25-35 minutes a game and he's going to put up real numbers.
The only teams that have money to spend are the crappier ones. I hope he doesn't settle for playing for some 30-50 team just because they had spending money.
@@SDesWriter MPJ is one of those players I'd be extremely reluctant to trade for years to come simply because his upside is so high.
Suns were way more competitive than the Lakers because they actually won two games. You would have a point if Phoenix didn’t win games but they did. Simplify the lakers vs nuggets series in saying the lakers got swept is a horrible take imo. To say the suns are a bigger threat because of that makes it 100 times worse. The lakers legit blew 2 of those games and game one they had a chance to tie/win down the stretch of that game. If DLO doesn’t shot 13% and Darvin doesn’t start the series with a 3 guard line up against the nuggets the lakers would have won at least 2 if not 3 of those games.
How do you figure the Lakers Legit blew two of the games? Nuggets put the clamps on the Lakers every game in the 4th and won the game. The Lakers didn't loose games, the Nuggets won games with great defense and offense. "lakers would have won at least 2 if not 3 of those games." Lmao, yea right.

I find it ridiculous that people think the Suns are a threat. Good job adding a 20 point scorer and another guy that plays no defense. Having a defensive coach isn’t going to flip the team that played bad defense last season and instantly make them good all of a sudden and we constantly see players who play no defense being unplayable when they start struggling to shoot. Booker, Durant and Beal are good but they are gonna have to play good every game and play lots of minutes every game because they still have no bench.
