I think it helped to have him as a moderator and not a main spokesman. So he doesn’t have to have the corny 4 min segments and just be his snarky self whenever he pitches in. Plus it takes away the dead air of the woman moderator who’s just there to start the segments.

The Clippers have always had the talent, the depth, and the coaching. They haven't had health. And they haven't had a leader/culture for guys to buy into. Harden solves neither of these issues, and I don't think he alone provides enough talent to overcome them either.

Clippers have no chance. They have hurt their future but only somewhat. Even if these 4 former stars decide to leave, they might agree to be signed and traded for more money and then Clippers can get a return haul potentially. Boston did this in getting their 2008-2010 super teams and turned the later trades (Paul Pierce and KG) into a bunch of future good first round pics (Smart, Brown, Tatum).

Idk how anyone can look at this trade and think the clippers improved their title chances (at best it stays where it was). Even if we completely disregard the LONG injury history of the only 2 star players that matter on that roster, on what planet does the chemistry and play styles match with this.

If (or rather, when) Kawhi and PG get hurt, we just expect James and Russ (key word being AND, cause they’ll have to play together again-didn’t work last time) to win games? Yeah, I've always loved watching Kawhi play. But getting a perennial playoff choker was not the move to make. If he behaves, stays a good teammate, doesn't complain about not getting shots, I might be ready to get hurt again.
Why say Russ and Harden didnt work? They made it as far as the healthy Clippers. Besides, do you remember what they had to work with? Covington and Tucker were the centers and other than Eric Gordon you will struggle to name any of the rest of the players.
Russ should come off the bench. This version of harden is perfect for Kawhi and George cuz he’s a facilitator, Kawhi and PG are catch & go scorers. I think it works but ya there’s no reason to believe Kawhi n Pg will be healthy when it matters
