Honestly wow Mia! I remember you using a gluegun instead of actually sewing things a few years ago and now you made this!! I love all the lace details, they are so beautiful!
HIIII! Finally getting around to reaching out to the giveaway winner! You won the Teuta Matoshi dress from this video!! Can you reply with your instagram so I can get your info to send it out!? đ XOXO
@@MiaMaples yess of course!!đ Wow i can't believe this! It's ellanemeth
@@ellanemeth congrats on the dress i hope you love it
@@asmaalmehairbi8742 thank youuu! I'm sure I will! It's gorgeousđ„șđ
MIA I think I speak for all the viewers when I say I WANT ONE!! Should we all submit our measurements?
I CANNOT BELIEVE how good you have gotten at sewing!! This turned out amazing â€
Love uuuu
Hope!
i love how mia has gone from not even being able to sew a cloud pillow case to now being able to literally recreate PRINCESS DIANA'S WEDDING DRESS like its actually crazy
I love it when Mia says "I'm not afraid of failing, I'm scared of not trying". As a natural perfectionist, it's something I've found the hardest to learn. I would fully buy a poster with that quote on it to remind myself. Great video Mia!
she needs to sell tee shirts with that,
âim not scared of failing, I'm scared of not trying" is definitely my favourite part. i just love how you could inspire me to try things I'm afraid of before even start to make the dress! đ„ș
Just remember that thing like this are a big potential financial strain. For someone like Mia who can surely write off the costs for her business failing might not be as detrimental as for someone else. Just try to make sure you can afford to fail.
The amount of detail Mia creates in her clothing and videos is just so amazing. You're one of my favourite youtubers because of your dedication and kindness
Same! She works so hard on everything she does and she seems like she would be just the nicest human to ever bless your life! Would love to meet her one day and just tell her that to her face. đâ€
@@Stephscuturo me too đ„ș
Your comment is exactly what I was coming here to say myself. She is like a shining light in the darkness of the Internet.
Agree and her relationship with her mom it just warms your heart đ€
@@janethflores1287 who doesnât crave some mama maples love and support in their life?!?
I literally saw Princess Diana's wedding dress in person about 20 yrs ago in Texas. They had it in display in a kind of museum they had in her honor, along with a bunch of her other dresses and things she owed. Most beautiful dress ever. You did amazing.
I love the âIâm not scared of failing, Iâm scared of not tryingâ !! More young adults need to hear this message đ„°
Agreed, but lord only knows that more adults of every age could do with hearing this...
I love that Mia just started sewing last year but was like âimma free hand an entire iconic wedding dressâ THE TALENT
I love just seeing Mia be herself and not being afraid to film with tissues stuffed in her nose! It's refreshing to see a social media personality just film their own reality and not be fake. I also love that Mia isn't afraid to challenge herself - this was definitely a hard dress to tackle! Much love from a fellow Canadian (Vancouver) đ
Same feeling! It makes me feel better because I do this when my nose is running and my husband makes fun of me for it but Iâm telling you, it works. Especially if you donât want your nose to become raw from having to blow it constantly. đ
Mia needs a tissue fund!
Legit, she makes me feel seen âcause I do the same thing đ€Ł
My favourite part is the amount of kindness you spoke for lady Diana! She will be forever loved
I've been watching Mia ever since she started doing the prom dress hauls. Seeing the things that you have made to prank your mom and now making a whole ass wedding dress makes me feel so amazed on how far you've come!! My favorite part is seeing how you have improved over the years and still being hilarious while doing it.
As a person whoâs scared of failure, I really needed to hear that whatâs worse than failing is not trying đđ» I needed that, and Miaâs talent, and determination just leaves me speechless đ
Nothing beats a fail but a try.
My favorite part is literally just seeing the advancement of Mia's sewing skils. It's really impressive to see her go from a pretty relatable place of, "Uh, this looks cool. Let's try it." to making outfits for her OWN wedding, and now recreating a beautiful and complex wedding dress like this.
It really reminds me of my own sewing path and I love that!
I kinda miss chaotic bad sewing videos
My favorite part of the video is you saying you're not scared of failing, you're scared of not trying. I love that quote
My favorite part: "You don't have to be amazing at something to enjoy it". WORDS OF WISDOM MIA!!
I really loved her showing the final dress outside, it was so beautiful! Also I love how Mia doesn't edit out the real stuff, like toilet paper up the nose and showing that your tired or struggling.
i cant believe she only been sewing for a little over a year and was able to tackle such a huge project
the reveal was just soo gorgeous đ„°đ„°
i love how she had the instinct to use 3 skirt pieces instead of 2, shows how far she has come in a short period of time
and watching aquamarine always helpsđ
I love that you keep saying a year ago you couldn't sew because it's freaking inspirational seeing how far you've come
You always bring up how you couldn't sew a year ago, but this is so inspirational to see the growth you've made at sewing.
okay but as someone who unrealistically hate not being good at something from the start, the encouraging message at the end to try new things despite not being good was so sweet and heartwarming đ„ș Thank you Mia
Yesss! I often stop trying because I get so frustrated, even though I know you can't be an expert immediately. It takes work. I'm just such a perfectionist... and I hate getting angry with myself for sucking at something and not being able to do anything about it lol.
@@thespankmyfrank I completely relate đ
@@thespankmyfrank i feel this so much
My favorite part was Mia talking about the fact she says you donât have to be good at it to do it and watching Miaâs sewing skills improve. Also how dedicated and the amount of detail Mia puts into every video. And honestly its made me mesmerised how you can make a dress that good in such a short amount of time.
The fact the balcony in her house is legit the highest balcony Iâve ever saw just puts it into perspective how much fabric she has đđ love thisssssâ€â€
my favorite part of the video is when Mia said "it may not be opaque enough but it will be long enough" loved this video
The part at the end where Mia encourages us to try and get better at what we do, speaking from her own experience. The fact that she said that we don't have to be the best at something to enjoy it, just made my day.
It's a real honour that a 20-something-year-old loves Lady Di. It's 25 years since she passed and it's great to know she is still loved by people, even those who never witnessed her inspiring presence. Not to mention, you are a good seamstress, and you have a creative eye (the lace trim).
I can't speak for our entire generation, but I can speak for a large amount of young people who absolutely love Lady Di. Some of her more historical moments have been showcased to our generation on social media and we've found her to be so relatable and inspirational. Lady Di definitely lives in our hearts. â„ïž
I agree and I love her
I am also a 20-something-year-old and I love her so much
The way she passed away has been a subject of a lot of many conspiracies. At least that's how I found out about her as I spend a lot of time on the internet. I also heard that Freddie Mercury snuck her into a bar disguised as a gay man. There are many a legend about her, and she seemed like a fascinating woman.
I was thinking the same thing. Mia wasn't even born yet. Pretty nice. She was like a breath of new life when she joined the royal family.
I love love love how detailed she is. This project honestly took 5 days to complete, even longer to film, and then EVEN longer to edit. Though throughout the video you see her saying âI had a little extra time so I decided to add more detailâ. I really appreciate the effort she puts into the things she does and it inspires me to do the same. I also love how connected we feel as viewers. Like at the end she lets us know that the dress still had imperfections and she is still learning. Little things like that make a big different, and she really is showing us that you can do anything if you put your mind to it!! Like how impressive it is that she just learned to sew this year!! Thanks Mia for everything you do!!
Dear Mia, I only found you a few days ago on CZcams and Iâve watched so many videos since then. But this one has left me breathless! This is incredible. If I didnât see you making the dress, I wouldnât believe it. You did the best job. It looks just like the original. Congrats on your accomplishment!
My favorite part of the video is Miaâs monologue at the end. Itâs very impressive to me that she could make such a beautiful gown in such a short time, and it really shows how far sheâs come. Her talk at the end about trying something even when itâs hard was so inspiring and made me want to go for the hard things in life. Overall, I really love her videos and love seeing her grow and learn and share her positivity.
weâre getting so much mia content with the main, second, and vlogmas and iâm loving every bit of it !! đ«¶đ«¶
donât forget her video with hopescope!!
Yes itâs amazing!!
Iâm so proud of how far Mia has come with sewing đ„ș I cannot believe that she made this dress in such a short amount of time. It looks amazing!! đđ»
Iâve been subscribed for YEARS and my favorites part of the video is when you said youâre not scared of failing, youâre scared of not trying. true Mia words of affirmation right there.
Favorite part was Mia talking about enjoying things even if youâre not good at it. I feel like there is so much pressure to be perfect at things nowadays, but I love seeing people make mistakes, enjoy the process and make it their own. This dress is gorgeous Mia! â€
You can't put price tag on a therapeutic hobby. It exists to be enjoyed.
my favorite part was the end when Mia said we donât have to be good at something to enjoy it! in a creative field, sometimes itâs hard to overlook that you have to be good to enjoy something, so thank you so much for that reminderđ„° Mia, youâre the best!!
Be careful about that joy. I used to tell myself I was good at things simply because I made them. And overlooked the mess behind it. I would accept anything as good and this has cost me quality in the things I made. I remember telling my dad I wanted to go to the mall wearing the skirt I made as a kid. It was two rectangles sewn together. But after 10+ years sewing I finally got to a point where 10 year old me would've gasped. I still settle sometimes and overlook mistakes. Like when I made my mom's present. I sew some pants for her but they're like 99,9 perfect. She loves them though. This comes from an avid sewer who makes anything. I've sewn skirts, pants, dresses, tops and my biggest accomplishment has been wearing them proudly in public as regular clothes.
Funny how my dad even mistook some of my fits for store bought clothes. When I told him I made them he was surprised.
You saying that you aren't scared of failing is đ. Words to echo in life and it's just such a great reminder to just give it a go. Who cares if you fail! It's a part of life. Thank you!!
Hey Mia, I didn't really expect you to take on SUCH A BIG PROJECT but gotta respect the courage đ I felt so proud when you pulled it off. I got a little emotional when I heard you talk about Lady Di in the beginning as the world was deprived of her loveliness and generosity WAY TOO SOON. You are the perfect person to recreate this dress, imo, since you too embody the grace and elegance that Lady Di did. Much love from India âš
It's very nice to hear someone your age speak of her with fondness and respect. The press did its best/worst to sully her reputation and make her accomplishments seem trivial. So in retrospect they did not win, and her story will continue into history as the bright symbol that we loved.
My favorite part was Mia talking about how she wasnât scared of failing BUT she was scared of not trying, It made me realize how dedicated Mia is and that you should never be afraid if things doesnt go your way ! So proud of your sewing journey Mia !! Your dress was absolutely breathtaking â€ïžâ€ïž
I LOVE seeing mia be so optimistic, on a day where I didn't feel like trying, her saying that shes more afraid of not trying than she is of failing really helped. Also the GROWTH in sewing skills is INSANE
I cannot believe I've gone from watching you recreate Wish clothing in the worst way possible to now watching you make a whole GOWN. You're incredible. Love that dress the black makes those accents pop
My favorite part was seeing your mom help out so much. I think that was very sweet of her.
My favorite part was Mia talking about the fact she says you donât have to be good at it to do it and watching Miaâs sewing skills improve. Also how dedicated and the amount of detail Mia puts into every video, I also love this tribute to Diana, such a kind sweet human
I just love when Mia is so positive and gives us courage to try and do things, even if we think we might fail. We never know unless we try. That's gotta be my favorite part of the video
I love seeing how far Mia has come with her sewing ability. The amount of time and effort she has put into continually improving her skills is always so inspiring to watch. I think that when she said "I'm not afraid of failing, I'm scared of not trying", it resinated with alot of us watching. The details on the dress are amazing!
My fav part of the video was watching Mia wearing that gorgeous dress she made all by herself even though last year she couldn't sew anything.
To think one year ago you were hot glueing your projects and now you can make an almost exact replica of an entire vintage wedding dress is just amazing Mia. Really appreciate that you always show the ups and downs of making things đ
I canât lie, Mia âwearingâ the dress with tissues lodges up her nose is such a mood đ Defo one of my favorite parts of this vid, besides the reveal đ€©
My favorite part was you saying that youâre not afraid of failing but afraid of not trying. It changed my perspective on just going towards my dreams. And of course seeing you finish the dress after all your hard work! I love your videos and determination â€
My favourite part is seeing how far your sewing skills have come in such a short time, it's amazing.
Favorite part: you educated us about her dress and you honored her in the best way - by recreating her dress with your own hands, telling us along the way that nothing is impossible. Thank you for staying true to yourself and motivating a large number of people in a humble way
My favorite part was when you said "you don't have to be amazing at something to enjoy it"! You inspired me to sew my reception dress (and document it in the process!), and it's been amazing seeing your sewing journey. I love your honesty about the difficulty of the learning process as well as your optimism about challenging yourself. Thank you for everything you do!!
I would like to see your documentry
Your sewing skills are lightyears from where you started. I'm truly impressed.
I love all the reassuring moments you gave yourself. âMade the skirt with an extra piece but I think it was the right choiceâ I was sitting there verbally agreeing with you throughout the video.
Miaâs sewing skills has truly blown my mind. She has improved so much and the things she can make now is so impressive and amazing. I so happy to be able to go in this journey for so long now!â€ïž
My jaw dropped at the big reveal! This was such an impressive project to take on! My favorite thing was Miaâs inspirational comments about not being afraid to try the things you might be bad at. We can all use a reminder to have fun with the process of learning!! :)
I love how you said that you are not scared to fail at something rather than not even trying. That kinda hit me .. sometimes I should be more scared of not trying and not knowing...ugh that sweet comfort zone đ„Č
I always like to see all the process of a giant project like that⊠It inspire me to be less scared of failure. I think my favorite part is when your mom is here to help you in your crazy projects đ
My fav thing about Mia's videos is how comfortable she is being exactly herself, actually feels like I'm hanging out with my friend â€
As someone who has sewn many costumes together but has never tackled a gown because "It would be too hard", this completely calls me out XD. Mia has the most dedication and patience with her sewing it's admirable
My favorite part of almost all the sewing videos is when your mom comes tp help with the process
My favorite part of all of your videos is watching you and your mom working together. â€ïž your relationship
I love the Mia's ability to tackle any task she sets her mind to. Like nothing is gonna hold her back from trying her hardest
iâm always amazed at how well mia can create such beautiful things. the idea of failure terrifies me so seeing how willing she is to fail and fix everything is so inspiring. the ending little speech was so important to me
My favorite part has to be the way you pivot when something doesn't go quite right. That fix with cutting the lace in half was really smart!
Favorite part was how much work you put into not going to get more fabric! Literally cutting each piece twice and splitting lace trim into bits to finish it, resourceful queen
My favorite part of the video is the message that you don't have to be perfect at something to enjoy it, or even just to try it! Even what Mia said in the beginning "I'm not scared of failing, I'm scared of not trying" is such an important thing for people to hear. Theres so much pressure to only put out/create things that look perfect and i think that takes the fun out of the process. If you have a desire to try something new or a passion for something you might not be the best at, the only way to get better is to do it more! The final dress looks amazing, Mia!
Honestly the fact that you recreated Lady Di's hair style for the reveal was the best part, with Mama Maples painstakingly pinning the hem of that giant skirt being a close second (your mother is an actual angel).
You really are an inspiration going from no sewing to full on gowns in a year! I'm hoping for a sewing machine for Christmas, so maybe next year I can be at your level.
My fave part is whenever your mother is featured in the video. You both have the best personalities and are a joy to watch.
The details are amazing. She didnât believe in herself that she could do it in the beginning but we all did!!
As someone who sews as a hobby, this is insane!! I'm so impressed with what you accomplished
Mia! As someone who has wanted to start many hobbies itâs so inspiring to see you get better with every video. You put 100% in every piece you make and thatâs what makes it so special. My favorite part of this video is definitely the ending where you see all your hard work payed off and get to enjoy what youâve created! Keep up the dedication and thank you for inspiring so many of us! â€
My favorite part of this Video is: âIâm not scared of failing, Iâm scared of not tryingâ
You gave me Motivation to organize my life again!đ„ș
You are our inspirationâ€ïž
Itâs amazing that you created this dress without a pattern. My mother taught me how to sew when I was in the 3rd grade & I made most of my clothes and all of my prom dresses when I was in high school. There is no way that I could have made this dress without a pattern.
My favorite part of this video was Miaâs determination to go above and beyond for this dress. She didnât have to do multiple layers for the opacity l! So proud of where her skills have come! Also as a 2022 bride I appreciate more wedding content because itâs hard to believe so much planning can come to an end. Love you Mia and Maples family! †đ
My favourite part of the video was seeing how well Mia responded to the mess ups for parts of the dress, this just really shows how experienced of a sewer she is now!
Hi Mia! I have been watching all the series and documentaries about the royal family lately. I remember when I was young that my mom would talk about Diana. What an amazing woman! I love seeing this recreation. You honored her memory well.
âIâm not afraid of failing, Iâm afraid of not tryingâ is both true and so hard to follow. But I think itâs some of why I love you snd your channel.
Because having fun, trying new things, being silly - itâs all worth it. Itâs worth the scary hard moment of trying something you donât know will succeed. Itâs what makes everything worth it.
My favourite part is seeing Mia taking on these big projects so bravely, sheâs so inspiring and positive. Even when she doesnât feel good about it or it doesnât work she keeps going. The part where she says sheâs not afraid to fail but afraid of not trying is a lesson we all need to live by and seeing her going all out helps me overcome my fears. That along with the kind (and often funny) support from Mama Maples makes me so happy, itâs honestly heartwarming.
First of all, can we just take a moment to appreciate the growth in Mia's sewing skills!! Just yesterday she was pranking momma maples with âšuniqueâš clothing she sewed, and now she made a whole wedding dress! Second, that is SUCH a gorgeous Teuta Matoshi dress. My fav parts are the clips of Mia's motivational self-talks along the wayđ
My favourite part of the video was your advice that you donât know what you can tackle until you try it. Itâs some advice that I needed to hear
My favorite part was probably when you made the sleeves. Their just so beautiful, and the fact that you didn't know how to sew before is amazing.
Itâs so admirable how much time and effort Mia spends on the things she cares about! Loving this vibe
Honestly Mia deserves so much credit for this. It turned out amazing! Also, my favorite part was definitely when she tried the dress on and had the hair like Lady Diâs! Thatâs dedication
I love this video! I was born after Princess Diana passed on (RIP beautiful human being đą) but she has always been someone I aspire to be like. Itâs so fun to see one of my favorite CZcamsrs pay homage to her đ you did an amazing job Mia!
Itâs just so funny to see that someone is the complete same when it comes to sewing. I love it
I loved how you took the time to encourage us to not give up on things we arenât good at but still make us happy. Itâs truly incredible seeing you come so far on your sewing journey â€ïž
Mia is a woman of many talents. And relatability, "I was also watching bride wars" so relatable haha. Mia always makes my day better
All looked so real from a distance! Best moment was seeing the close up of the Lady D wig, and all the mama Maples appearances.
You don't have to be amazing at something to enjoy it is my favorite part and also how dedicated she is.
My fave part was seeing how much you've improved as a sewer, and your self-assurance to not only go for this (and knock it out of the park!), but also to OFF-BOOK it??? So encouraging and inspiring to watch, just like Lady Di and your own huge heart Mia xx
Definitely the part where you said you're determined to make this dress even though you only stared sewing a year ago. I've been following throughout this last year and your progress is so inspiring, the fact that you've come so far and can create things *this* beautiful really motivates me to pursue things i've been afraid to
My favorite part was at the end when Mia talked about how you can truly do a lot when you try. I also loved how it turned out at the end!!
I loved the dress but my favorite part was the little part at the end reminding people you don't have to be great at something to enjoy it and do it.
My favorite part is seeing how much effort she puts into every video. Mia has improved with her sewing and I love seeing how optimistic she always is in her videos.
My favorite part of the video is Mia saying âyouâre probably thinking Mia you donât have the skillâ but Mia! Iâm pretty sure we all think youâre sooo talented! I love to see how youâve become so good at many things like decorating and sowing and the fact you do it with so much love and dedication is inspiring. Thank you đ«¶đ»
My favorite part is whenever your mom is helping you iron! Really makes me miss my mom!
The dress was perfect for the era. The one mistake the designers made was the wrinkling aspect after all of it was stuffed in the carriage. At first when she stepped out the dress looked like a wrinkled mess. But, Princess Diana radiated and the wrinkles slowly fell out. Iconic. Great job Mia!!
My fav part is when she comes into the room being like âoh my gosh, why does it look so good right nowâ Also all the dedication she put into this dress. I canât even finish a dress I started a year ago!
anytime I see a mia maples video that involves sewing = IMMEDIATE WATCH. the passion and dedication she puts into these sewing videos??? just *immaculate*đ
My favorite part was watching her make the sleeves! The dress is gorgeous! Well done!
My favorite part of the video was every time your mama maples made an entrance and the amazing amount of care you put into every part of the dress!
