My mother painted my rooms ceiling the sky when I was a baby! She also added those clear glow in the dark stars so it looked liked the night sky when it was dark. Such a cool idea, and they still glow to this day over 18 years later.

My son was rushed to Boston Children's from a smaller hospital when he was only 10 days old, and they saved his life! Thank you for donating to them, it means so much to families like us! ❤

@@rfeatmorelana He had severe laryngomalacia (floppy airway) and a swallow delay, meaning every time I fed him he would aspirate (the milk would go into his lungs) and he couldn't breathe properly. The night I brought him to the hospital he was choking and turning blue. Thankfully he grew out of that with thickened feeds and around 2yo he had his adenoids removed to help his breathing, but as he grew around 4.5yo he developed severe obstructive sleep apnea (his adenoids had grown back and his tonsils took up most of his airway) and would stop breathing for 30 seconds at a time. That was around when Covid started and they stopped doing surgeries for awhile. That was super scary because his team of doctors said if it continued for a year it could start to affect his brain development. I'll never forget the nurse who cried with me on the phone during the early days of covid when everything was so unknown, because they wanted to help but couldn't. From the time I noticed the apnea until surgery day it had been like 8 months, so we were cutting it close! But he had the surgery at the end of June 2020 and knock on wood he's been ok ever since! He turned 6yo this past July and is in first grade now 🤗

I didn’t even know that when I was in Italy. Not until I was taking a western civilization class. The most beautiful art I’ve ever seen, if anyone ever has the opportunity to see it-take it!!! I can’t even imagine the back/neck pain I’d have😅

Okay so the fireplace already looks so good with the blue ceiling. I really don’t think you’ll have to change the fireplace … paint colors on walls (and ceilings) will make that look like totally different stone!! Heck, it even already gives a storybook vibe. Hopefully papa maples didn’t ruin it with his spill … 😭
I REALLY think the green she chose for the walls will tie in the fireplace mostly even more then the blue! CANT WAIT!

Yeah I think leave it for last, and it should come around and look good. And if the colours don’t quite come together do a very delicate white wash on some of the darkest parts

mia when i was a kid like 3, my mom painted beautiful sunset colored clouds on my ceiling. she also stippled glow in the dark paint on top, and put up the glow in the dark stars with them. when the lights went out it was so magical, this just reminded me of that 🥺

On the wood board, I wasn’t so sure about the clouds but when you started doing them on the blue, it looked so different! I love it!

Every time I see that epic fireplace, those tall walls and now a cloudy ceiling I think how cool it would be to have your own climbing wall but disguise it in your decor, then use it as a different way to get upstairs! Love your videos and visions. Best wishes from across the pond. X

I am ALL about the cloud ceiling! As a kid I had pastel green walls with a cloud ceiling (yes, I came up with that), and as an adult I painted a super cool friend’s bathroom to look like it was underwater in a pond! My mom’s house has two tree murals I did inside. I can’t wait to finally be able to buy a house and paint murals everywhere 😭

OMG!! I can’t believe she picked Boston’s children’s hospital!!! I commented that as a suggestion in her original donation video thinking she would never see my comment, because so many people other people were commenting with more well-known charities like St. Judes. I’m so happy she saw it! Boston’s children’s saved my sisters life. She was expected to die before the age of 4, but she’s now 22 because of them ❤️

I have always wanted to paint the ceiling in my daughter's room with clouds but was intimidated with the neck breaking job. This video was on a totally another level. I am inspired to finally give it a go.

That was adorable. It reminded me of me and my mom climbing all over scaffolding to paint a mural on a 40 foot wall. I thought I was going to pass out and die! 🤣 we were also on a ramp and the scaffolding had wheels! I was so scared we would forget to put the breaks on and roll straight into traffic!
Mia for the basement living room bc you already would have one in the main floor, maybe you could do a movie theater room, like with black walls and black out curtains and below the fireplace you could put like a “candy shop” behind a glass with a light… I think it would be fun to have when you invite friends/family over

This reminds me when my mom painted my baby sisters room celing and walls all sky blue and with clouds, but she used grocery plastic bags to get thr texture instead if sponges. I thought it was awesome as a kid.

I had a cloud room in my old house throughout my childhood. Painting it was a dear memory. I used sponges on the clouds. (I also had cloud sheets and pillowcases, cloud comforter, and used leftover paint on a floor lamp to make it cloud pattern. Lol long live the 2000's)

i grew up with my mother being in an abusive relationship, it has led me to resent her and her boyfriend. that relationship is now ruined, and she is a completely different person (and not for the better.) i’m not sure how complicated your situation is but no matter how complicated it is, leave girl.
You need to get someone to help you! You need to get out of this relationship and I know it isn´t easy, but please! and you have already taken the first and hardest step, by saying it on here! please google where the nearest local women shelter is, and get them to help you!

The clouds look AMAZING! I’ve done a wall mural in a large classic car garage before and used a scaffold, so I totally feel your pain and fear with standing on it. It’s so hard to do large scale paintings like this in general, let alone doing it for the first time. You did such a great job!

First, love the cloud ceiling!!!!!! Second, the charity this week is very close to my heart. If it wasn't for Boston Children's Hospital my best friend/sister and my niece would not be here right now. My niece was born at 28 weeks with several life threatening conditions. Even though she has a long way to go still, we will be celebrating her third birthday next month. I think that it is amazing how giving you are. That is one of the reasons why I have followed you and will continue to do so.
