Hold My Hand - Let Her Cry - Only Wanna Be With You is just a preposterously good 3 song back to back to back run on a debut album. Those of us old enough to remember when listening to the radio was the main option know that you couldn’t leave that thing on for 15 min without hearing Hootie.
This man is the best voice of a generation. Alt rock or country he kills it. We need to give this guy space because every time we do he comes back with something better.

I was working for a radio station in Chicago. Drove these guys from a sound check to their hotel before the show that night. Genuine folk, good people. They were buying tickets to go see Star Wars, offered to buy my ticket and go with them.

Got to see Darius when he opened for Lady Antebellum in 2012 in Toronto and loved it, BUT when I heard those first few guitar chords and he started singing Let Her Cry, I lost it! Singing along to one of my favorite songs, one that I never imagined I'd EVER have the chance to hear ❤ Should have seen the young teenager girls in front of us, HUGE fans of yours but clearly they had never heard of the band Hootie and the Blowfish ❤ him singing this song is one of my top three favourite concert moments!
