- Hi Everyone! It's been a beautiful spring. We've enjoyed the mild weather so much. The new cocktail gin begonia border is filling in and soon will look full. The Carding Mill rose is in full bloom. The variegated hydrangeas are beginning to form buds, and soon will be full of color. Thank you for stopping by! :)

Wow! The curb appeal of your home is just awesome. The tall trees, big rocks plus those well chosen plants..just looking amazing. You did a terrific job.👍👍
Thank you 😊
I just found your lovely channel. I watch gardening videos in the morning with my coffee before I head out to do my gardening. What a lovely treat to find such an authentic channel with such a beautiful garden. I love that you focus on being who you are and acknowledging that a garden is a space to learn and grow and find peace during hard times. I think we all fall down that rabbit hole of hiding the garden imperfections but I am slowly learning the the imperfections are just reminders that we are just caretakers and not controllers.
Thank you so much for your comment. I am guilty of falling down the rabbit hole. Feeling intimidated by other gardens has the ability to keep me from sharing mine. I too love watching gardening channels in the morning with a cup of coffee. ☕️🌿🌸
@@birdhousegarden your garden is beautiful and is clearly developed with loved and creativity. I love that you and your husband work on projects together. My husband and I do all our own work too. It is a labor of love!
I do too watch videos in morning with coffee
@@patsywatson946 it is a great way to start the day!
Please make a home tour video
Love the dawggie just chillin' in the background. He digs the scenery.
He always needs to be near us. 🥰
I'm so excited that I found your channel. I've owned my home for a few years and have only planted a couple azaleas last spring and several knockout roses the year I closed on my home. Both are look amazing and full now. Your channel has made me want to dig out a larger garden bed in front of the roses and add more perennials. Wonderful video! Thank you for sharing your labor of love, because Lord we all know how much work goes into digging just one hole. Exhausting and rewarding!
Congratulations on your new home and welcome.👋 So glad you found a bit of inspiration. Happy gardening!😊🌸🌿
Your hair is pretty and healthy. Love your garden. Thank you.
Thank you 😊
Wow, beautiful garden. You obviously work very hard at it and have invested in all those beautiful shrubs and plants. I know it is a pain when trees shed their leaves, but so glad you are not planning to cut them down. We need more trees.
Thank you.😊 Since we bought the house over 20 years ago, we’ve had to take down 2 mature trees that were diseased. Then we had the Chinese pistache fall down years ago. Each time those trees had to come out, I was sad. They provide so much shade.🌳
Your garden is so immaculate and tidy. I feel the same about keeping my beds tidy. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you 😊
your garden is super beautiful! I love how all the colors look together and the maintenance you put in is very impressive ❤
Thank you so much 😊
Absolutely beautiful gardens I just love a house surrounded by gardens 🏡🌳🌿🌾🌲
Thank you 😊
Your garden is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for giving us a tour. What an inspiration!
Thank you 😊
Such a nice tour of your property you have a beautiful variety and it looks immaculate but I know you put a lot of work into it. Thanks for sharing. It’s always amazing to see these tours. When you live in zone 5B it’s just amazing what you get to grow versus a northern climate
Thank you so much.😊 I live in Fresno, CA, zone 9.
Beautiful garden. Also, I’m having serious hair envy. Both the garden and your lovely wavy hair look so real.
Thank you.😊 My hair is thick. During summertime I normally wear it up come the afternoon.☀️
Your front garden looks so neat and tidy. Makes me want to go out and tidy my front garden too. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thank you 😊
You have done an absolutely beautiful job on your garden. You should be extremely proud of what you have done. Good job.
Thank you so much.😊
Love that you want to keep the trees, so many people cut everything down or remove, and it seems such a waste of our natural shade. It takes so long to grow something to replace them. Love your yard.
Thank you for saying that. We just cannot cut perfectly good trees down. You’re absolutely right. Our neighborhood was built in the 70’s. Many of our friends live in newer homes and they do not have mature trees.🌳 😊
Have you ever talked about your rocks/stones/boulders? I love boulders in the garden and I rarely see it. Yours are amazing.
Thank you!😊 I have not spoken about them. My husband really wanted them. Thank you for the great idea.
Your gardens are stunning! I also like the way you've placed the boulders.
Thank you very much!😊 The boulders were my husbands idea. He had a crane place them when we had the front walkway done.
This is beautiful madame. Where did your husband buy the boulders? Thanks.
Very nice! Love the way you put large rocks in the areas.
Thank you.😊 I’ll let my husband know. He really wanted them when we had the front walkway put in. The camera probably doesn’t pick up how large they are. A crane had to place them.
I could watch this channel all day. Gardena are so beautiful and inspiring!
Just discovered and subscribed to your channel. Thank you for the wonderful video of your front yard. You're very thorough in your description of everything, and I love the name display of all the plants/flowers. Also, kudos to your camera person for doing an outstanding job videotaping everything with such a steady hand. I watched your entire video without feeling dizzy, thank you!
Hello 👋 and thank you for subscribing!😊
This sounds redundant, but everything is BEAUTIFUL. Probably the prettiest I've seen of all of the CZcams videos.
PS...I would love to know how much time you spend in your gardens each morning?
Thank you so much.😊
Great question. Most days I spend from 3-5 hours a day. Sometimes more if my husband is home and we’re working together. Then there are days I can only spend 1/2-1 hour a day if I have appointments. 🌸🌿
Wow! Your garden is stunning ❤ what a feast for the eyes! Everything looks so spectacular! It’s absolutely beautiful!
What a beautiful garden you have! You keep it immaculately! The most amazing birdsong...obviously the trees host and encourage them to stay in your area! I couldn't identify the birdsong though, as I live in England and we obviously have different birds here. So peaceful!
Thank you so much.😊 The birds were singing quite a bit that morning. Someone in the comments said it sounded like a mocking bird. They were chirping a lot the last several weeks during the night. I’m glad they feel at home in the garden. 🐦 🌳
Beautiful yard. So glad I found your channel. Inspiring❤
Thank you.😊 Welcome 👋 Glad you found us.
What a lovely Garden

My friend thank you for good sharing 😊
What a beautiful garden.
Thank you 😊
Beautiful landscaping
Thank you 😊
Thanks for the front yard garden tour. It was beautiful you have a lovely garden into beautiful trees. Thanks for sharing with us.
Thank you 😊
First time viewer. Love your bed lines. Very pretty. I too ,would not cut down trees for solar. Trees are everything. A big mess, but worth it. Sunshine ligustrum is one of my favorites for the pop of color. BTW... I am so jealous of your gorgeous hair!!!!! I am 73 and the older I get the thinner and finer mine gets. The struggle is real!
Thank you so much. We’ve lost 3 mature trees over the last few years. I’m always a little sad when they’re taken out. The sunshine ligustrum has quickly become a favorite of mine as well.😊
Stunning front yard garden tour! I love your variety of plants and really enjoy the distant views of garden. Gorgeous landscaping. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you. 😃
Absolutely Gorgeous yard. Now I will be going back and watching more videos. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you 😊
Love all your trees and boulders. And your edging is perfect! Such a peaceful oasis you have!
Thank you.😊 My husband does the edging.
Wow, your flower beds are gorgeous!! I just love them, I live in Illinois and I know very well about Japanese Beetles!! I had quite a few Douglas Austin Roses, and the beetles came and destroyed them, I finally got rid of the roses, then we cut down a Linden tree in our front yard because it only looked good in May and June, the beetles would come and eat all of the leaves and it would look dead all summer! Seven will kill the beetles but, it will also kill hummingbirds so I didn't want to use that on my flowers. Good Luck, can't wait to see your flowers later this summer!
Thank you.😊 Ugh… those pesky beetles! I was reading that they’re drawn to certain roses and typically only affect the first spring flush.
My mother"s family lives in Fresno. Yep. It gets hot!. Your garden is gorgeous and well-represents plants suites for the area. (Sorry about the camphor trees 😢)
Thank you. The heat can last awhile over here. I’m always thankful when fall finally arrives.😂
First time watching,lovely showing ❤
Welcome😊 Thank you so much.
You choice of boulder and pavers and leaving the dirt to show makes the flowerbeds really stand out. Quite the contrast against the bright flowers. Thanks for the ideas!! I’m zone 5 so a lot of these will be in my yard this year!!
Thank you 😊
Absolutely stunning!! Thank you for sharing. ❤
Thank you 😊
Looking so pretty!!! I'm in the PNW so my garden is just waking up.
Thank you.😊 It’s still a little chilly where you live. We have family in the PNW.
Your gardens are beautiful. Love the look you have.
Thank you so much 😊
Beautiful! I’m just starting my landscape…. Thank you for the ideas! ❤❤❤
Thank you.😊 🌿🌸
Thanks for your garden tour … so healing and beautiful
Thank you 😊
Absolutley beautiful😮.....❤❤❤
Thank you 😊
Your yard is pure eye candy 😍 Thank you for sharing. I have that same situation north beside the house is shade then hot zone 8a in late afternoon.
Thank you.😊 Those hot summer afternoons can get the best of us and our garden. 🥴😊
Your so right 🥵
New subscriber to your channel…….i live in South Louisiana! I have a love for roses and they have performed outstanding this year. Your yard is beautiful!
Hello 👋 and welcome. Thank you. 😊 I have family near New Orleans.
WOW, your magazine worthy garden absolutely takes my breath away! So many splendid colors, shades of green, spectacular roses, perfect placement of everything.....I could go on and on! Your begonias and African daises REALLY grabbed my attention. I'm wondering if you could tell me about how much shade the African daisies get versus sunshine. I've never grown them, but after seeing yours I cannot stop thinking about them!! We live in Zone 9 in Houston, Tx.
BTW, I don't think I've ever seen a garden as beautifully manicured as yours! Thank you for this very entertaining and inspiring video! I'm a new subscriber, and can't wait to see how your begonias and dianthus do over the summer. They both are simply gorgeous! Linda. 🩷💜💛💚
Hi Linda 👋 Thank you so much for the kind words.😊 The African daisies receive full sun from mid-morning on. They do not disappoint if you have hot summers. Does Texas have humidity? Our heat is dry. Half of the dianthus border receives morning sun and the other half receives afternoon sun. The entire border performs well. The daisies I purchased from a local nursery. The dianthus is from Home Depot. 🌸🌿
I am new to your channel and I just love your front yard and flower beds!! They are gorgeous! Thank you for sharing and have a blessed day!
Thank you so much.😊 We will be doing a back garden tour soon. May you have a blessed weekend.
I always had the thought that California's weather was more mild. That the low 80's was probably the high for the day and it was cool at night... We live in Texas where its 100 degrees or more for the high and in the high 80's at night... I enjoyed your garden tour.
Thank you.😊 growing up I lived near the beach and summer was my favorite time of year. Now that I’m much older, summer is a season that I could skip.🤣
Stunning!
Thank you 😊
Hi I just logged on to your channel and I must say I’m very anxious to follow you I will be of course scrolling back to watch your past videos. I love your garden and such beautiful trees. And I’m already looking forward to future videos
Thank you.😊 We will be filming our back garden tour soon.
Your oasis is absolutely beautiful ❤❤❤
Thank you 😊
Beautiful. Loved the birds on the silent part of the last bit. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you.😊 They were loud that morning.
So stunning! With my Zone 2b -3 growing area, I’ll have to wait until at least after the first week in June before I dare plant anything! nevertheless, your hard work and planning are definitely paying off with these beautiful feasts for the eyes!
Thank you.😊 Zone 2-3? That’s cold.🥶 I bet everything is green around when spring arrives. June will be here before we know it.🌸🌿
First time here. Really loving your channel. ❤ It's so peaceful. You're such a pleasure to watch. My favorite is how you print the name of the plant you're talking about on the screen. That way I can make a list of the plants I'm wanting to try to find. Please keep it up. Your such a sweetheart.❤
Thank you.😊 I always find it helpful when other gardeners do the same. We will be filming a backyard garden tour next. 🌸🌿
@@birdhousegarden Can't wait.
Beautiful garden. I love hearing the birds at the end of this video. Continued Blessings!
Thank you. We filmed that rather early in the morning, and the birds were chirping. 😊
Hello DeAnn, my name is Gina- just found you today. I’m up north a bit, just out of Modesto. Love finding others not only in our zone, but with the same weather pattern. Your gardens are turning out beautifully. Surely I will binge watch a bit soon. Thx for sharing.
Hello Gina👋 and welcome.😊 There’s a shop in Modesto that I love going to, it’s Mulberry Lane. It’s located in McHenry Village. My cousin and her family used to live in Oakdale.
@@birdhousegarden - yes, I believe it’s still there. Love going in at Christmas time. And great candles. Oakdale is a fun place to shop as well, if you like antiques or quilting.
Love the garden tour, hearing the background of nature, and the beautiful watch dog!
Thank you.😊 The birds were chirping quite loud that morning. Chief is a special dog. 🐕
Your garden is gorgeous! Wonderful tour!!!
Thank you 😊
Your yard is gorgeous. I have wanted to do a retaining wall with flowers just like yours but a little taller.
Your flowers are stunning, especially the roses!
Thank you.😊

Omg I love finding new garden channels. Your garden is beautiful. Love the begonias. I have a full sun yard and my burns. Happy gardening
Thank you.😊 The begonias will be a test this year as to how much sun they can tolerate. Do you have lots of heat? I will look up your channel. 🌿🌸
Your front garden is gorgeous. Love the dianthus border and in the other area the begonias are beautiful too. Love and blessings 💚🩷💚
Thank you.😊 The dianthus has performed beyond what I expected. I’m looking forward to watching the begonia border fill in.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Thank you 😊
What a beautiful space and great calm in your voice and experience. Thank you for sharing. I will certainly be subscribing 🌸🌷🌸

Your doggy is magnificent!!!❤😊
Thank you.😊 He’s an amazing dog!🐕
❤ Gorgeous❤
Thank you 😊
Beautiful
I have noticed in my garden, that the a Japanese beetles go after the light coloured roses. I have pink roses too and the beetles are all over them but don’t touch my dark coloured roses. Your garden is beautiful.
Thank you.😊 Yes, I’ve been reading about them and they are attracted to the light pink roses. One of our local nurseries will be hosting a David Austin Rose event and I’m thinking about going. Maybe one of their representatives can give me some advice. 🤞
Gorgeous! Love your doggie, too! Can't wait for more tours!
Thank you.😊 We will be filming our backyard garden soon.
Attention: New subscriber and I’m here in Zone 9B Houston. Loving this video; just came across it this morning and since it’s raining for the next several days, guess who I’ll be bing watching? You Garden Diva! You are lovely and your garden has such marvellous beauty. Thank you for sharing such a passion so close to your heart; as the case with all us gardeners. Have a lovely summer.
Hello 👋 and welcome. Thank you for subscribing. You understand having hot summers. We do not have humidity. We will be filming a backyard garden tour soon.😊

Hello Carolyn from Georgia!👋 I live in Fresno, Ca, zone 9. We are about 1 hour from Yosemite. No deer, just lots of squirrels and opossums. We have seen a fox in our yard before.
Beautiful garden ❤❤❤
Thank you 😊
Love your gardens ❤❤❤

HI ~ new subby. love the landscaping ideas. I do all ll my yard work also including lifting heavy granite stones and I love it.Happy Spring! connie murphy
Welcome Connie 😊 We do all our own landscaping as well.
Gorgeous garden! Your plants are so pretty. So neat and tidy, I wish mine was. Dianthus grow like crazy here too. I have to cut them back some when the blooms turn ugly, and they pop back. Zone 7 here.
Thank you.😊 I was noticing this morning that my dianthus could use a little cut back as well.
Lovely
Thank you 😊
Just found your channel, in Kentucky 6 to 7 zone , so glad you are telling the zone when you tell about the plants ,
Thank you 😊
TY...
Beautiful front yard! I love the roses they look so pretty and healthy !
Thank you.😊 Now I need to find more space to plant more.🌹
How pretty!❤
Thank you 😊
I feel your pain. I have 3 maple trees…so leaves plus helicopters to clean before I can do my Spring planting.
I probably wouldn’t recommend a camphor tree to anyone unless they have a large property where they make a screen. Ugh…. The mess😩🤣. They do provide great shade.🌳 Have a wonderful Spring!😊🌸
You have a beautiful yard!
Thank you 😊
🌺Hi there. I’m Kim from AR. Just found your channel. I love your stunningly beautiful flower garden. You are so knowledgeable about all the species you have planted. I have to refer to the tags that come with each of my plants and trees. I like to keep them all together on a key chain. You’ve definitely given me some wonderful ideas. Thank you!🌸
Thank you.😊 I have to look at the tags all the time. I generally know how large they grow, but I always forget the zone.🤦♀️
I wish I had more front yard trees to put shaded flowers. I have too much Sun.
What a lovely garden and well put together tour, thank you for sharing!
Thank you 😊
Beautifully done. The pathway turned out nicely. Love your roses. 💕🌹
Thank you. I can’t wait for that area to come together. The stones look much better now that they’re set. 😊
I just found your site also. You have a beautiful garden
Thank you 😊
A possible solution to your mulch issue could be "mulch glue." It has solved a similar problem under our pin oak tree. It drops, profusely, twice a year. 😮 just a thought!
Thank you so much for the suggestion. I have not heard of that before. I’ll definitely Look into it. 😃
