- Never did I imagine I would be exploring almost every corner of Switzerland in 2020. As international travel was not possible, I decided to visit Switzerland’s best places. The travels in 2020 brought me many highlights and I realized how incredibly beautiful Switzerland is. Because of that, I prepared this video with the Top 10 Switzerland places I traveled to in the year 2020. Please take into account that this top 10 list does not mean that these are the very best places but the best places I visited in 2020.

As you know, Appenzellerland:) Village and Culture;)
The only Swiss location I visited as an adult is the Alpstein region. The hike I made there in the summer of 2020 was unbelievably beautiful; going from Wasserauen, Aescher, Ebenalp, Schäfler, Mesmer, Meglisalp and then down to Seealpsee for a swim when shafts of sunlight dramatically penetrated the valley in the afternoon. I am definately going back there.

I have travelled two times to Alpstein to hike the 3-lake trail, both in the summer and autumn, for obvious reasons. YOU HAVE PICKED MY FAVORITE PLACE IN SWITZERLAND!!!!!

Simp.ly incredible beauty and most of these places I was not familiar with. I really like the 4 lakes area, the waterfalls (one of my favorite natural wondersl). With one jaw dropping valley after another, it seems almost unfair that one country has so much beauty. The lack of tourists most places is anorher plus. I could easily enjoy Soglio. I love the vineyards at Le Vaux, but wish the wine was the drier reds than sweet whites, but what a view. I am partial to Lugano for living because of yne ilder cli ate. I had to get a kick out of chasing away evil winter spirits, as I hate winter most places in the world, but in Switzerland, winter is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. You are a very fortunate young man to be surrounded by such beauty. I like seeing all these new places. Incredibly magical!
I traveled to Switzerland two years ago. Found the scenery so beautiful and very kind people. Loved riding the train all over your country. Hope to return again after this pandemic is over. You need to do some videos of some of Switzerlands local winter favorites or even winter local festivals. Best foods of Switzerland.

I am from Malaysia.Switzerland has always been in my list of countries to visit. I was supposed to join a trip to Holland and Switzerland in March 2020. However, the trip was cancelled due to the global COVID 19 Pandemic. Watching your video alleviate my frustration of not being able to be there.

@@LukeV85 Aletsch I am definitely on, but for a hike on the glacier with a tour guide! Lag da Saoseo sounds amazing too, maybe can combine with Brusio also! Lake of Sfi wow its so nice. I did not hear of it before.
just found your videos about Switzerland and they are amazing. I am just hoping by Summer there will be less restrictions so I can be able to travel freely. My only dilemma now is where to book my base camp. I have a five year old and I hate to change too many hotels. I was thinking a week in Interlaken since I have so much to explore in that area and maybe leave two more nights in Luzerne.

Summer could be realistic, I hope you can come here and enjoy traveling :) I suggest you to not necessarily stay in touristy centers. You can for example stay in Oberhofen or Brienz instead of Interlaken. For Ticino, Muralto is good to go either to Valle Verzasca or Valle Maggia. Then, also nice is staying in Rivaz at the Lavaux or Sierre or Visp in the Canton of Wallis :)

Thank you for your video. We came over the Easter break to follow in your footsteps. We are staying in Evolene and we did our first hike yesterday. We did not calculate how the snow would change the experience. Armed with snowshoes we did the La Gouille path (a 40 minute estimated trail). It was straight up and a comical yet beautiful experience. Many people with street shoes struggling to get up or down. Even with snow shoes some areas were a challenge . It took us 1:20 to get up The lake was beautiful and worth seeing. When we returned I noticed you were in town at the glaciers. I want to go but I saw you were recommending ice cleats. Thank you for the recommendations and the new video. We will not be going there...LOL Maybe in another trip. Today we will explore La Sage. If you happen to see this and might recommend another hiking spot in the area. We would love to here from you.

I am really curious how the lake looks like with a lot of snow :) Arolla is okay, I would say you did not miss a lot if you don't ski. La Sage is nice, La Forclaz (VS) nearby could be nice too. I also can recommend the Val d'Héremence, but there is a chance that it cannot be accessed currently due to the snow. Btw your last name sounds persian, am I right?
@@DjemoGraphic Hi I have a few nice pics and video to share of Lac Blue if you are on whatsapp, Signal or I can email them. We attempted Arolla but could not really figure out the path due to too much snow. We then went to La Foclaz. Wow what a great hike. The tunnel was icy and had some ice formations. If you are in the area I recommend going as it would make a great video. We then drove towards home (Zurich) and took a detour to see Mont Blanc as the weather was incredibly clear...We went to Chamonix. It was well worth the risk of getting controlled. Hint... we avoided the tunnel and were lucky. There was control on french side on our return and the poor guys car was searched. No swiss they must have been on the slopes...LOL Yes, my last name is persian.
