Ian Wright scored on 4 minutes and Marc Keller did so on 65 minutes. David Ginola scored on 72 minutes but spurs were mangled 2-1 despite John Moncur sent off for West Ham. From Joe. X
When Alan Sugar took over as chairman at Spurs in the early 1990’s , the club’s fortunes went into sharp decline. They bought cheaply, hence many of the players were average to mediocre! A few decent players were purchased but generally Sugar bought very ordinary players which meant Spurs were never able to beat the best in the league. Indeed, they used to get a whipping from teams near the bottom of the division! Under Sugar’s chairmanship, the club couldn’t compete in the transfer marker, even with middle of the table sides, because Sugar didn’t want to pay expensive transfer fees. Only when he left and ENIC took over, did Spurs once again buy players with some degree of quality. I shudder with horror and embarrassment when I remember the Sugar years!
During the Sugar years, the Spurs defence was a awful. Shambolic and clue,se defending. Ginola totally wasted in this team. Only when Sugar left, did Spurs regain some credibility.
Thanks for this video; been looking for it on and off for a while! Moncur absolutely smashed Dominguez. Horrible challenge!
Who cares? It was just a fucking spud, no one of importance!
I was so hungover that day, when the second went in I thought I was having a brain hemorrhage 🤣🤣🤣🤣
such an amazing era!
West ham won 2-1. From Joe. X
Back when football was actually for the working class. Good times.
Great day!
David Ginola scored a double pile-driver though on 72 minutes and 25 seconds. From Joe. X

Sherwood, Ginola and Freund were all approaching the later years of their careers when Spurs signed them. Little to no resale value in those three.
