I'm binging on your videos. Just found you today. I'm obsessed. You convinced me in one video to embrace my curls. It's been years that I have not been confident with my curls. I always straighten my hair. I've taken about a 7 month break from straightening and keeping it in a braid to get healthy, but not yet have I worn my curls out and about. I like this one too I do wish the spray was more of a mist.
Don’t use cantu products in ur hair. It has rubbing alcohol in it that will dry out ur hair and cause frizz.

Water is what I use. Nothing else. I can go 4 or 5 days just refreshing with water in a spray bottle and my curls bounce back no problem. Super easy and cheap!
How?I mix water and conditioner and they look worse.
I use water and a little tiny bit of my ouidad conditioner. I was using a different conditioner line before and it did make my curls look worse. You just need to find one that works for you. I will be trying one of these I think!
I use water and aloe Vera gel (about 10-20%) in a spray bottle, it works wonders. Do give it a shot if your hair is curly.

I moved to a new state and now my curls don't do the same. I have 3A/2C curls. Usually after freshly diffused my curls are big and lots of volume but they start to loose their volume after day 3. I've taught myself everything I do during my routine, no one in my family has curly hair. Recently had my hair cut and he chopped off way too much. I definitely cried. What is the best way to help keep volume past day 3?

Guurl! Your day 4 day is my day 2 goal! I have super fine, easily greasy hair and my curls dont even survive the night to the second day 🙈. then theyre just straight and flat on top with volume at the bottom. can these sprays be purchased on amazon? i live in Europe :)

I understand this is an Ulta products line review but an and very affordable curl refresher spray is Cantu's. Be warned, it streams out. But... It. Works. So. Well
I started my curl journey really last spring. I have the Ouidad refresher spray, but I really should try one of the creamier ones for winter. I live in Minnesota, so cold, dry air takes its toll. Which of the two creamy ones would you suggest? My curls are like yours. I’m 2c-3b.
I just want you to know, your hair is absolutely gorgeous!! Your hair is somewhat close to mine but not too much. My hair is really weird like overall it’s like 2C-3A with some 2B. Then the small parts near my ears when I curl them they look like 3B-3C. Overall it’s a mixture of random stuff. One question though, if I cut my hair shorter (I’m around waist length) will my curls spring up and get curlier? I’ve grown up always getting my hair done at home with rollers and then sitting under the dryer. Blow dryers were somewhat more frequent when I was younger and flat irons were scattered around for like holidays and occasions. My mom constantly tells me I have straight hair even though I obviously don’t so I don’t have good products catered towards wavy curly hair.
Hey, I know your comment is a year old, but if you haven't done a big chop yet, taking off length will definitely help your curls spring up a bit. The weight can definitely stretch out your curls while your hair is drying, causing your curl pattern to look a bit looser.
But don't expect to suddenly have 3b curls everywhere. Your curl pattern is determined by the shape of your hair follicles, which can vary is shape all around the head, so the extra weight is only part of the equation.
The health and strength of your hair also plays a role in how defined your curls can look.
I've tried several refresher sprays and I just can't spray anything like that on my hair, it just creates frizz for me. Your hair looks beautiful though!

@@darhendricks that used to be me! Maybe it depends on hair porosity but try a mousse to style after the shower! It works wonders for me because it keeps my curl definition

So what shampoo and conditioner do you use daily ? I have the same hair type but I don’t know what to use, the Shea moisture I am currently using is too heavy on my curls. I want a strong hold and no weigh down but whatever I try doesn’t work I’ve been trying to find the right shampoo and conditioner for years. All the research I do doesn’t lead to anything. What would you recommend the most ? Please help me 🙏🏻
Do refresher sprays cause frizz since you’re not rewetting your hair? Or would you have to put something with a hold over it?

If I removed excess water and spray a generous amount of this refresh spray instead before doing the LCO or LCGO method, do you think that will work? I'm trying to find other ways to use up my refresher sprays since I refresh with watered-down leave-in and gel instead.

Carrie Gunderson co-wash is when you skip the shampoo and use a conditioner as your shampoo.
I like to use the suave coconuts conditioner or even the Alberto v05 kiwi conditioner from the dollar store. Both are curly girl approved and when I massage it in my scalp, I really feel clean. Then I go in with a thicker conditioner like maui moisture and my leave in, which right now is alikay lemongrass.....smells so good. Also like AG fast food leave in.

Are these silicone free?
TGIN contains bis-pca dimethicone sulfosuccinate which I think is a silicone. The DevaCurl and Curlsmith have waxes and oils. The Wella has alcohol denat. The Ouidad and Naturalicious are silicone free and CG-approved.

3b hair is curly not wavy.. her hair is probably a 3a. 3a curls are less curly then 3b hair and yet it’s still curly-not wavy. So unless you meant 2b hair, 3b is NOT “wavy hair”
