I'm literally sitting here laughing at the guy who yelled at you. Meanwhile he's wearing a tshirt ahahah irony
but but but he went on a 28 day long ride and is just coming back...... (whatever that is supposed to mean)
@@ducatinyc apparently you and the hypermotard were the most dangerous thing he came across in an over 28 day ride lmao
@@FunWithAJ Well, granted, NYC traffic is absolutely insane compared to most places in the US and Canada. When I came back from a road trip, it took me a couple of days to get used to the insanely aggressive driving in this city again.
@@sv650nyc7 I hear that. i've made that transition so many times that it does not phase me. EITHER WAY - if the dude felt in any way sketchy riding in nyc or was adjusting back to nyc after his trip - HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN WEARING SAFETY GEAR. dude was a tool - any way you slice it. i still hope he sees this shit one day.
Absolutely hilarious that guy freaking out, must spend his entire life terrified đ±đ€Ș. That was one of your finest my man đ.
Thank you brother! That dude was something else. God bless him and his casual riding.
cant live your life in fear of shit that really aint that dangerous lol
Me, as a brand new rider, wouldâve freaked out too if someone flys by like this.
But I wouldnât be crying like a little bEAch, definitelyâŠ
And he was right about a T-shirt.
Guy donât wanna get killed, wear a basic PPEâŠ
keep making test drives, theyâre very entertaining lol
Thats the plan! Thank you!
That guy was being such a baby. There was plenty of space between you two. ''You could've taken me out'', dude should just stop riding motorcycles if he gets scared that easily..
I agree 100%. I hope he sees this and gets embarrassed by how dumb he looks
That dude didn't need a jacket, hes already well padded lmao
HEY HEY HEY NOW! some are more padded than others :)
Ha ha ha that's unfair on us fat dudes!!!
Iâm not a fat guy... letâs not go there!
No one does bike reviews quite like you, absolutely awesome.
Thank you! Trying my best :)
Haha, now itâs DucatiNYC romping it on a hypermotard. Been waiting for this test ride for a while, ever since the last time a hypermotard made an appearance on the channel
I hope it did not dissapoint too much :)
Ducati NYC Vlog as always, cookin with butter . And nice interaction at the end too haha
That thing is a BEAST! I'm laughing with you the entire time. Awesomeness
oh its a beast and a quarter.
That guy shouldn't be riding if he's that scared. Smh
You were no where near that guy. Lol
Exactly. I have no idea what his deal was - but the dude was fuckin PISSSSSSSED
@@ducatinyc in nyc lol
The joy of driving like a little boy :-). And that's very nice. Good review of the new machine.
Not much of a review and more of a raw reaction :)
"The suspension is just - Ăhlins!!"
Definitely the best quote of the week!!
just the good ol' Ohlins
I have a 2017 Honda CB500f with almost 19000 miles on it, a broken cowl, expired tags, ad Iâm in Bethel CT. I put this up in jest. However when sorted I would bring it to you. Stoked about the expansion of the channel.
I WANT TO RIDE YOUR BIKE. That sounds fun as hell.
Such a sick bike love your videos btw
Thank you much and yes yes, the hyper was businesssss
Such a sick video! Looks like you had a blast. Iâve got the 09â version and I love it :)
Oh such a good time. So yours is a 939 or??? How many miles you got on that puppy? Any issues?
Ducati NYC Vlog itâs an 1100s. Iâve had her for about 2 years. And (knock on wood) I havenât had any issues! Iâve been super lucky. It has about 22,000 kms. Maybe Iâll shoot through a photo on insta. If you ever come to Australia, youâre more than welcome to film a âriding bikesâ on itđ
Hey @DucatINYC, the Hypermotard SP has Quick Shifter, so, you don't need to use the clutch to change gears up and down!
I know. I know. I can NOT BELIEVE I FORGOT ALL ABOUT HIS. DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I came to the comments to find this one. Quick shifter is 100% extra fun added. đ
I've always wanted one since the Evo, so many years later, really liking this newer hypermotard, hope I get lucky soon đŻđ„
Epic bikes. So happy the new Monster has the same motor as it is beastly.
This should've been called the Ducati Jailtime
Fact. Ducat Trouble.
Awesome post as usual đŻ đ€đœ
Thank you much :)
Any plan to try the Triumph Scrabler 1200 ? Should fit you well for urban riding and going to the woods !
I most def want to do a Riding Bikes episode on one and at least try it but as far as owning one - its not for me. Ducati Desert Sled tho, thats another deal.
Would love for you to discuss in some vids your thoughts while splittin on the routes you're choosing and why. in a two lane road (your direction) you're almost always in the middle of the two cars instead of on the left or right. Is that because of escape routes/lack of? You actually talk about it not being cool that you're on the shoulder in the BQE, how come? Not saying I'd do it but would it be better if you were on the drivers side as you were goin by? Whats the reason for the etiquette you do have.
I don't see myself ever having much need to split anywhere near like you do, just the occasional cruise through New Haven CT and I'm not gonna be in a rush when I'm there but it's fascinating. Also know that even if you accommodate this request it'll be a few weeks before I see it lol, but still.
Not a bad topic to discuss. Its all about escape routes, I always presume someone will do something silly and I'll have to have a way out. As far as shoulder - thats where ALL the glass, nails, trash, things that will ruin your tire live. Riding a shoulder is a great way to get a flat. And folks hate a shoulder rider 3 times more than a splitter :) Good topic for a vlog though. I should do this one.
God I love this bike definitely on my list to ride for my channel. How good is the sound. đđđŻ
One hell of a bike - and once he puts a proper pipe on it - forget it!
Man at the intro was extra sensitive that day hahahaha nice riding as always!
but but but but he just did 28 day ride blah blah and I almost took him out.........
BRO do a video on a liter bike. This is a awesome new series you have going on here. Super cool
Thats the plan. It will happen :) THANK YOU!
Instant like for that Hyper â€ïž
Thank you :)
lol had me lmao man! Hysterical thanks for sharing
That was a fun brap.
Curious, Isnât there a quick shift on that beast? Nice video man! Keep on with the riding bikes vids!
Christoffer StÄlhandske there is, i was so excited to ride the bike i spaced out on one od the most fun things about it. And thank youuuu. Monster 821 vid is next :)
Ducati NYC Vlog haha I see. But still awesome video. Looking forward for that. Ride safe.
What glows are those? Love the look.
Rev'it. But I can't recall the model name.
Nice bike but too new for me. Iâve been told for late model bikes itâs better to keep stock pipes rather than swap them I donât know why but Iâm guessing itâs the different modes it has. You need to find a long tunnel and let it rip.
Yea, too new for me as well. I feel like i didnt even ride it at all. Was just too hype the whole time.
Haha, I rented one a few weeks ago. I feel you dude. I was like saying wtf and holy shit out loud every minute the whole day. It really calls the hooligan out, but I still felt more in control and more safe than with the monster. However, nothing is as cool and bad ass looking than an old monster. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Damnit, I'm gonna buy a hypo and be broke and eat junk for months, I know it... Cheers from the Alps
Ha! I knew I was not the only one who lost the gift of speech and cohearance on this bike :)
Forgot the quick shifter.... Would love to have one, but too crazy for me.
Yea, i'm soooo annoyed that i forgot all about quickshifter. UGHHHHHHHHH
No one:
Ducati nyc: haha motorcycle goes vroommm
Juan Ramirez the hyper was like đđđ
You CAN do brake slides on this bike. You just have to turn down ABS and DTC to the lowest level or off
I was under the impression that it was impossible to turn off ABS? but you're probably right
@@ducatinyc ABS cannot be shut off but in the owners manual under ABS level 1 it says "slide control under braking" is activated. It'll let the ass end slide out like 10-15° before the electronics kick in. Haven't had the balls to try it yet but it sounds cool in theory. Great vid dude.
Ayyy, you started out right outside the old Brooklyn Moto. Greetings from Greenpoint.
Yes sir! Conselyea Motos and Dirty Billy now :)
@@ducatinyc ah, right on. I sold Tim H an 05 KTM SMR (which I somehow got an NY plate on). And E3 was there at the same time. Not sure if you know either of them. Still, cool to see the garage door pop up in a CZcams video!
Holy shit that screen on the bike is cool as shit. Love the new high torque naked bikes. So comfortable with more power than anyone should have.
Yea that screen is the reason why the only Monster i could upgrade to is 2018 and up. I can not see myself using the old digital screen again.
Dude.......their were seconds of delay before you passed that guy - unless he was going to be an arse@#$! and move in your lane, their was no way he was in danger. I think he was scared after you chilled his body temp with that Italian wooshhhh!!!! Thanks for taking us along and sharing! EW :)
Hehe exactly. All he saw was a red flash brapping by with a roar and got spooked. What a nerd.
Finally someone PULLING IT
I totally failed and didn't even use the quick shifter - UGH. Next time i ride this beast I'll pull twice as hard.
@@ducatinyc Hahaha wil like to see that. Make sure you keep yourself On the motobike =D
Come to Barcelona and Iâll let you ride my M821! I know you already tried one of those but you will also have a Masterâs degree in filtering ;) Nice video man, awesome bike
Oh how I would LOVE to ride your Monster in Barcelona. I love that place. Been 3 times. Always stayed on La Rambla like a cheesy tourist but.... damn, what a place.
Can't believe I'm just now seeing this video This is the bike I want to get I'm 5-9 do you think I too short for this bike?
No, i'm the same height, you're fine.
@@ducatinyc thank you bro, have an awesome day!! take care of yourself.... and stay safe..đ
Have you tried the 950 standard model with low seat?
Nope, just this SP.
Btw, thereâs a nice tuned, loud, fun Yamaha FZ10 over here in The Bronx if you want to accidentally wheelie in any gear.
Is that an offer? I'd love to ride it for a quick vid :)
@@ducatinyc I'd be more than happy for you to experience the madness. This was an awesome fun video. But I will warn you, my bike pulls extremely hard even in the calmest riding mode. Like power wheelie in 4th gear hard.
avx7 i hear ya. I would respect the machine, 100% - this video is not how i would ride your beast
@@ducatinyc oh no by all means. At least give it a try on a nice stretch, I'd be upset if you didn't at least give the bike a little squeeze and enjoy the torque. After this weekend, my schedule is pretty open.
Happy days! ;) @Ducati NYC Vlog
Mega happy days. I miss those.
@@ducatinyc All that`s missing lately is warmer weather, dry roads and time to enjoy the bike. ;) Maybe, Dirty Billy has another sweet ride you can test ride!?
Is it a good beginners bike? I drove a mt09 and few other bikes before (rent), but wonder how this one is? Its more for the track and for experienced drivers I heard? Not for daily use tho..
This is by far is NOT a beginner bike. Not even close. Nope. Experienced rides only I would say. But I would also say MT09 is not a beginner bike either.
@@ducatinyc mt09 was fine for me, so maybe it will be the case with this one too. I really liked the sitting position..guess I should try the hypermotard out
@@ADDONRACER i guess. I cant recommend mt09 or hyper as first bikes. That is just silly as hell and a good way to get hurt. I hope u will at least have quality gear.
@@ducatinyc I will. Thing is we get better lessons I think here in europe to get our licenses..ofc with the time you learn more, no doubts about that. It also depends on the rider if you ask me..
Exactly! The kind of rider i am im very gald i didnt start on a fast bike
Would you be interested in testriding my bright yellow 900 cubic centimetre supersport classic aircooled italian combustion powered bicycle from the glorious year 2000 ?
I would love to as soon as you are back in the states.
Waiting for the new videoïŒ Love the hyper.
New video tomorrow :)
Lol that first interaction was amazing. Ironically, everyone Iâve run into with a FZ/MT 07/09, are all pretty reckless. First time I have seen someone complain like that.
Exactly. NO CLUE what that dude was goin on about. You can see the fury in his eyes too. Like.... wtf..... FZ/MT's are hooligan bikes.
You could just raise your handlebars for more comfort and yes I like this bike do you know what bike you'll be getting next.
Scheeming on a 2021 Ducati Monster + :)
@@ducatinyc very nice my friend đđ
Catileena two đđ
Hi From Brazil, Franca-SP , i lovr Ducati!!
whats up right back to Brasil! Thank you brother - I love my Ducati too :)
Whatâs the tail tidy used?
He actually made himself, custom
Iâm just here yelling at him to go straight to Queens Blvd to get on BQE lol, Ik youâre not from around here. Awesome content tho!
Thank you! And yea, i def dont know my way around Queens, at all. It did seem like i'm doing something wrong.
If you passed me like that Id want to race! Im now looking at one of these or a streetfighter
Can't go wrong with either choice.
How was the wind at higher speeds?
Not bad at all, but one would need to ride for an hour or two in the wind to truly know.
Fortunate to own one. Best bike I have ever owned. If you can afford the SP version get it over the standard. You get lighter wheels and Ohlins suspension and some carbon parts. Don't care about the carbon parts, the bike is light enough as it is. The SP tyres it comes with are great, but don't expect more than 3k from the rear and don't expect lots of grip in the wet. They heat up quickly and get very sticky - my nerve runs out a long time before the grip. It is difficult to ride in a sensible manner, but it can be done. Best for early Sunday morning thrash rides. I upgraded the seat because the stock one is a complete plank. Means I can now do 100 miles without getting a numb rear. No fuel gauge, which I still find annoying after a year of ownership.
I loved every second of riding this thing. I will ride it again once the new pipe is on :)
What seat did you buy for the comfort?
cant believe you didnt use the quickshifter!
I know. I'm so annoyed.
Hi my friend, beautiful Ducati đđ»
Thank you brother!
How tall are you? Curious if itâs too tall for me at 5â9â with 30â inseam.
Im exactly 5â9â w 31 inch inseam
Its perrrrrfect, i actually made it an inch taller than stock
Thanks, bro!
Love that you also just did the vid on the 821. Trying to decide between that and the base Hyper 950.
Love your vids!
My next purchase fingers crossed đ€â€ïžđźđčđŠđșđ„đŻđȘđŒ
What year are you getting?
I have a 939 (previous gen) if u want to compare them fresh
oooh that would actually be super fun.
Ducati NYC Vlog let me know, in the Catskills until the at least the end of the month, we can make it happen either up here or back in the city
this is exactly why I won't get a naked more than 800 because I will definitely lose my license in a heartbeat. I barely pull the throttle and next thing you know I'm going 100mph.
Exactly how I feel. I can't control myself just yet to NOT twist it all the way back.
God damn ayyyy
mega brappies on this one.
Do the Streetfighter V2 when you get a chance đ
Oh I would love to.
@@ducatinyc Looking forward to it đđ»
If youre interested you can try out my Zx-14R, its a couch on a rocket
Hell yes, I would love to, never ridden anything like that. I put you on the list - we gotta make it happen at some point! Thank you so much.
Im from brooklyn, let me know if u want to try a indian scout bobber, your welcome to come ride it!!!
I would LOVE to. Awesome. Putting you on the list. THANK YOU! Where in Brooklyn are you located?
I live by Brooklyn bridge park, i ride as often as possible, just lmk and we can meet up. I am in love w the scout bobber, would love to hear your thoughts on it. And join for a ride on day!!
R u buying that motorcycle or your just testing it
Its dirty Billy's (Adams)
Just testing. I'm 1000% NOT buying a Hyper. I can't handle it.
Whatâs the top speed on these things ?
Good question. I didn't test it obviously but I"m guessing 140-150
178
Great bike. Now add another 55 horsepower on top of that and you have a Monster 1200 R. Try one of those if you get a chance (no not mine lol).
I rode a 1200S on a few vlogs when I was out in Portland. A bit too many beans for me , but would be nice to test one around NYC.
@@ducatinyc I enjoy your channel, just be careful in NYC bro with all those cagers comin out of parking lots.
Speed Demon........đ
just a touch of baby brappies
Good it has wheelie control otherwise you'd have some more experience by now.
Pretty sure I'd be dead or in jail. Sweet machine!
I still popped a wheelie or two - but yea, that bike is not for me.
Italian pawer forever broder
Agreed! :)
Bruv', you need to get one. Like, now!!! đïžđœđđ
Thats 100% naaaaah
@@ducatinyc if you like the upright riding position, get a Multistrada..... licence in tact LOL
Dude, this bike has a quick shifter! Make use of it haha
Yep i know. As i mention in description and a few comments - i forgot all about it in this vid
"And this is the touring mode?? wtf" hahaha yeeah open it up
I'm def going to ride this baby again and actually use the quickshifter this time
Killer machine; the laughs and smiles are the ticket with that bike. Really going to enjoy this series as you get more and more experience with many other bikes. The guy yelling at you was startled by you; you did the right thing just ignoring him. You were nowhere close to him.
That guy was indeed silly and I"m so happy I did not engage with him - cuz YOU KNOW i could have... call him a few choice names and then push him off the bike :P I have a list of 10 bikes so far.... the trick is now to follow through.
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł that was awesome
Hehe thank you :)
If you think that is savage I donât want to see you with a Streetfighter V4 :) hope all is well broski.
Exactly! Hopefully one day I'm lucky to ride on of those :) I hope you gona make it back to USA soon brother
That Moro Noir guy might have a bike for you to ride, without a dB-killer. B)
He put his in...... shame.
Yup... you wouldn't survive more than a few days with that bike. It encourages you to do more of what you already do ( that Judas Priest song comes to mind.. "Breaking the Law" ). You would need to engage the anti-hooligan switch , or end up behind the steel bars for the night... lol
Most def not a bike for me. Granted that raw feeling will eventually fade away - i recall when my bike felt dangerously fast.
Yo bro... you don't need to get any more technical on your review. There are thousands of reviews with all tech specs....boring. Review like yours is entertaining and informative....don't change it man. That bike is insane... I'll be in New York next week or the week after, you can take my 2020 R1250GS for a rip if you want. Its also a wheelie monster, although some call it an old mans bike... its a beast and blast to ride, it will hit 140 with ease. Check out some of my vids..... no where as entertaining as your, but you will get the idea of the bike.... we need more of these vids for sure!
Woah. I would LOVE to try out your GS. Never ridden one before :) Would be epic.
@@ducatinyc Cool man, I will let you know what day I'll be in NY.
Yes, is big, is noisy, is muscle, is wooowww!
Most deffinitely a muscle bike.
This will cause depression when you go back to your underpowered monster. Nice ride.
Hell no, rode it right after and said to myself - wow, i truly truly, truly love my baby 620. Use all the power, all the time.
And Iâm assuming even urban mode woulda still been too much power for beginners đ€ŠđŸââïž itâs a shame because of they lowered the hypermotard a lil bit, added a more beginner friendly engine on both this and this supersport model and kept everything else the same, they could literally print even more money. There are beginners who want Ducati looks but safe for pure beginners/commuters đ€ŠđŸââïžđ€ŠđŸââïž
This bike is def not for beginners but at the same time I don't think every bike should be. I think Scramblers and Monster 797 could be good beginner bike - or even a bike like mine, the 620 - but its def no hyper in terms of looks.
@@ducatinyc thatâs the issue, I know Iâm not a scrambler guy, I might be able to be convinced into a monster but the hypermotard and supersport(ironically a sport tourer) are visual masterpieces. Just make beginner variations and watch the money pile up đ€ŠđŸââïžđ€ŠđŸââïžđ€ŠđŸââïž
Why is it that I have an incredible, overpowering urge for a peppermint candy?
hehe i've tried one once and it was NOT for me.
Not gonna do anything spicy

chad or chode? :) :P
@@ducatinyc a chad with a chode :D
I like the 950 HM. But it's not as nice looking as the 821/939 HM, imo.
Itâs a little bit different, I like change
you probably told that guy you wouldnt ride his bike like a hooligan
Thats my boy, he watches my vlogs and told me to send it - in fact, this very same dude and same bike appear in the very last vlog. And a few others.
I might need to sell the thrusting and get this shit.
The trusting eh? :) :)
Yup, rides a Hypermotard, becomes a hooligan... haha
basically - I blame it ALL on the bike.
Do Triumphs qualify as beautiful / cool bikes? lol
All depends on the Triumph. Yours? YES!
@@ducatinyc haha well if you ever find yourself in Jersey City đ
Rad bike. I am pretty sure it has a quickshifter and I donât think you were using it. A proper quickshifter will change your life. Haha.
It 100% does have a quickshifter and I'm 100% silly for completely forgetting about that sweet sweet thing.
If a motorcycle overtaking with plenty of room startled him, there's no way he did that 7 million mile bike trip or whatever he was saying lmao.
ARRGHHH dude probably covered 112 miles in 28 days, stopping every half a mile to bitch someone out
F-ing Hall Monitor in his safety t-shirt
Right? Mr Toolbucket on the case.
taking him out ? In asia thats just normal everyday riding.
Here too. I didn't do anything out of norm. The dude was a TOOL.
You can ride my old Honda cb
Never ridden a CB :)
Liter bikes will pull your underwear off, gsxr, cbr, R1, Ninja 1000, etc guess this was your first time with 900 or above. Bro I took a cbr 1000rr down the bqe in 2nd gear at 120mph and wanted to park it real bad.
Yea this was my frist time on a proper fast bike like that. 120 in second? no thanks :)

I have no idea what the little upset man was talking about
You can lane split in NY? And try the Yamaha MT 10 next âđ»đšđŠ that guy was just a pussy because you passed him on a nicer bike lol
Nope. No lanesplitting allowed in NYC. I'd love to try a MT10, will try to make it happen.
May be you should have taken him out đ€Łđ đ
Nahhhh, he was scared enough.
nice...but i gotta say the 30mph in 3rd gear on the highway...cringey lol
Oh you're right about that. I feel like I didn't even ride the bike at all, was shifting all over the place, didnt even use the quickshifter. I'll ride it again when he puts a pipe on and be a bit calmer :)
Iâd be very pissed if that were my bike.
I also think lane splitting is the most reckless riding habit, even if it is legal.
You keep saying how itâs not your bike and how youâre not going to do this or that, yet you do it.
I showed this video to my friend whos bike that was immediately and we both had a laugh and loved it. I'm sorry you are so delicate about your motorcycles. I can tell you do not live in a big city or ever deal with traffic because lanesplitting is CRUCIAL and the only way to ridin in a city, safely. Otherwise you're waiting for a car to rear end you if you pretend to be a little car. I can def tell you have not seen any of my other videos. Ride safe buddy.
do you honestly pretend to be a tiny little car when you ride your motorcycle? Is that what you do? Either way - ride safe however it is.
@@ducatinyc youâre right, this is the first video of yours that I seen. Iâm thinking about buying another ducati and the Hypermotard 950 sp is most likely what Iâll get.
I live in detroit, but you yourself even said youâre riding like an idiot. My comments are, you were riding recklessly and on a bike you yourself said only had 100 miles and was brand new and not yours.
You said all of this yourself.
I know bikes are fun, and I have 6 of them myself and have been riding for many years, but I wouldnât be riding like you. You know if a cop seen that, heâd pull you over. Just be safe man. Thatâs all.
Iâll subscribe and check your other videos out.
