Nature is incredible. When you said “I planted only 1 seed, and I get ALL of this” it really puts into perspective how generous nature is.

hes not giving himself enough credit. he did far more throughout the year besides just "plant one seed". You have to know what you are doing and have the time to do it to get harvests like this.

I picked two bowls of peppers and tomatoes today, which is wild since in years past I thought the garden was ‘done’ by Labor Day in NJ. I’m separating garlic cloves as I watch because it’s time to plant them soon for spring harvest. But first I have to get spinach in my Greenstalk where I just pulled basil that expired after 6 months of growing.

When that bad weather went through New Jersey, I was concerned for everyone, but I also thought, "I hope James' food forest is all right." It IS so exciting when you get a good harvest.
Your attitude about "weeds", I am the same about certain ones, like heath asters. I let them grow in certain places, just until the flowers are starting to change. Right now, I have a fuzzy mullien starting amongst my carrots that need harvested. I am going to leave it, because it's fun to see how tall they get.
I have to admit, I'm having some tomato envy right now. Our cat dumped the early seedlings, but I did get some planted in August, and they seem like they will make it.

Dried Asian pears are absolutely delicious. They stay chewy when dry as long as you don't over-dry them.
    I peel them first.
One year after harvesting peaches I went down to the basement where I'd set them on the floor in boxes. Our dog had taken one bite out of each one and left them on the carpet!
Another of our dogs loved radishes and dug them all up before we were able to have any. She loved carrots, too.
We sold our house and now have a small yard. We went from .36 of an acre down to .25 of any acre and we now have about .16 of an acre. Watching you harvest fruits and veggies makes me sad that we don't have our .36 of an acre but it got to be too much for me and my husband to take care of. It's harder when you're in your 60s. (Not a pity party but I have MS which makes it a bit harder.)

I love these harvest videos! I watch yours, and other gardeners'harvest videos, too-it's encouraging to see that with learning and patience I might be able to see results like these eventually. Keeps me inspired to keep trying.

I absolutely love your channel! As a fellow New Jersey native (and gardener), I'm just so happy to see you representing "The Garden State" so well. So happy for such a blessed and bountiful harvest that you have. So awesome how you are teaching folks and inspiring them to do this for themselves. Keep up the great work. Best wishes!

Wow…great harvest! Do you sauce, jam , jelly, and freeze any of the harvest? If so you should do a video on that process too. Love your enthusiasm, and love love Tucker .

James Thank you so so much! I copied you for my first big vegetable garden this year.. I got Sungold tomatoes and jalapeños so yummy . The Russian Kale is awesome and my husband made a bed greenhouse to save them from winter. I planted a dwarf peach and two cherries which was easy bare-root. I gave away some harvest to neighbors there was so much! I underestimated the ground hogs, big mistake! They lifted the chicken wire to get in and ate the cabbage. So I banged in tent steaks. Then then chewed through the chicken wire! So I am putting livestock fencing too. We need a Tuck! We are dog lovers and love him. My first year as a vegan had been awesome because of you and I lost 70 lbs. I’m a new person 🥰
