- After a short stay in Palma, Mallorca, we finally got favorable winds to continue our journey further towards the Canary Islands. Seems we will be skipping Ibiza and hope we won’t have to make a stop in Cartagena - we have a few days of wind and if all goes well we should be able to make it to Gibraltar.

WOW!! This episode is probably the greatest thing on CZcams right now, sounds exaggerated but it completely blew my mind. IT HAD EVERYTHINGI (except a cat). Beautiful footage of the Mediterranean I will watch again and again. The Beautiful Lady Cevilla and her Divine Mom, a few gnomic words of wisdom on waves and wind by Captain Ken - the approach to a dark and cloud shrouded Gibraltar . Without doubt the greatest sailing episode I'd ever seen. Bravo!

Hey Captain can I make a suggestion you said something about getting back to your starting point and what do you do with the rest of your lives you start over again only you go around the world the other places you've never been sounds like an adventure to me

Nice video and how cool is that the Admiral has her mother on board. Have a good break I guess you could say in Gilbralter! Fuel, Food etc. I noticed there's always lots of ships in the vicinity. I guess that's because it's the entrance into the Med from the Atlantic. Looking forward to next video.

Our daughter Áine is crossing now. She will arrive in St Martin late Sunday or early Monday. She is delivering a new Swan 78 to Guadeloupe. She has sailed it from the Factory in Finland to Sweden, Norway, UK, Lanzarote, Cape Verde, and now the Caribbean. She has clocked up quite a lot of miles this year.

Sorry, another question -- I like the talk about when to run the engine. But how can the mast ever be moving faster than the wind (with the engine off)? Isn't that impossible since the wind is what moves the sailboat?
Waves..... They move the mast back and forth.... When the mast head is moving faster than the wind the sails do all sorts of crazy things.

Hi you two. Been a while since I watched your vids. Was subbed like 3 years ago and did again just now ☺ Maybe a bit impolite but I noticed Ken was looking a bit tired? Are you taking an hiatus of around 1 year when you complete the circumnavigation? You know, some well earned rest after 6 years chasing wind, can make anybody tired 😅
😁 some night watching at nights during the passage definitely can make us look tired but still not sure whats next… I guess you’ll have to keep watching our vids 😁 Thanks for resubscribing 🙏

Have you checked out the Starlink hacks... like disconnecting the motors? Other sailing channels are doing it. Hmmm.. I have starlink at home and on the boat..Wonder if I should do this on my boat one or not. What do you think.
