Sorry about the audio popping!
I only started following your channels in 2022, BUT your quickly becoming my favorite EV coverage channel. I LOVE your enthusiasm for the subject, Thank You.
The popping could be caused by the wireless transmitter’s antenna swaying as you walk. If so, taping the antenna in place so it doesn’t change orientation as you walk should help.
That Rivian Uber you seen was me! That’s my R1S. Love to chat with you while your in town
Do you sell cars for a living?
Please grab some time with the Fisker ocean. And please find out as much as you can on the battery rates of charging .
Thanks for this, Kyle and Alyssa. I'd like you to interview people at the DC fast charging companies on their business models, on why they have installed subpar charging dispensers (below 150 kW), on why they have such poor site maintenance and customer service, on why they have selected such sketchy (read potentially dark and dangerous) locations to site their dispensers, and on what they will be doing to change all of that in 2023.
Can you ask the DC fast charger manufactures what they are going to do to have more reliable chargers deployed in the US?
Until ELECTRIFY AMERICA is put out of business, non-Tesla EVs will never survive in the USA. America needs charging options that are not doing all they can to stop EV adoption.
Needs to be a STANDARD
@@nononsenseBennett how about NACS? getting legacy auto to adopt it however may be challenging. but if one does, i am sure the rest will follow shortly, especially if the tesla super charger network opens up here in the usa like they said they would.
Dump CCS1 is what they need to do. The J1772 latch is CCS1’s Achilles heel. They need to either switch to NACS or CCS2. Those are proven and don’t have the vestigial manual latch that CCS1 has.
@@MH-Tesla Did you hear that Musk working with Trump to save the oil industry man? It's well documented man he met with Trump's son in law Jared Kushner and the Saudis helped Musk finance his Twitter buyout so he has something left when the Saudis have him destroy Tesla. It's well documented man.
You're living a great life. This is obviously your passion and you're making a living. I wish we (fans of all things electric) meet you at a rally point and have you chat with us....
Kyle, I would like to see more on V2X, such as back at the Rhombus display. Great job, if I wasn’t 75, I would join you! I am amazed at your knowledge and recall.
I went to CES (Consumer Electronics Show)several years in a row on behalf of my Panasonic client when flat screen plasma televisions were all the rage. Back then, no one would have ever predicted that EV's would eventually replace them in center stage.
Holy crap you know your stuff, right off the top of your head. Impressive.
Better than most mainstream auto journalists/pundits
No. It's his wife who knows more.
He's the Ariel Helwani of EVs.
Holly smolly are these fake usernames
30 years ago I lived in the Atlanta area and I worked for DEC (Digital Equip Corp). When CES came to town every year, DEC would give us a paid day to go visit the show. But back then it was all computers components, tvs and everything electronics.
Nice to see a behind the scenes of behind the scenes of CES - definitely a different perspective... Would like to see more about the Volvo EX90, the Centtro(?) Desert Beaver... and some home EV charger stuff please? Of course watching Kyle flex with his knowledge as he and Alyssa walk around and play off each other... Cool video.
Absolutely. Great teamwork.
i love the behind the scenes day 0 preview and the fact that your wife is all for this, for us :) I'd love to go see this one day but for now I can just watch your videos and be lazy at home!
Used to own and run an events company and this took me back. Love touring during build up days, no other visitors to compete with! Makes me feel nostalgic that’s for sure. 👍
Hey Kyle,
The airstream you walked by most likely is a game changer in the entire camping industry. It should have batteries underneath so the wheels on the camper powered by electric motors and the wheels move when the ev truck is towing it. This will improve range for towing which is the #1 concern today. Please check it out and review it! Game changer for the world of ev trucks pulling a camper.
This years CES is going to be epic. Show us that volvo please!
Always appreciate the high energy and knowledge you bring to your videos.
Wish I was there but this is pretty close
Interested to see what you all think of the TOGG’s EV
Very nicely done. WOW!!!! It is overwhelmingly large. Looking forward to the followup videos.
Love your videos, you are doing great content.
Fun video, thanks. Used to work in PR for Sony (and a few other companies) and CES was always stressful. Nice to see behind the scenes again from the comfort of home. 😅
Some high efficiency home tech would be good - heat pumps, hot water systems, home automation etc...
Thanks for being there to educate the rest of us!
Great behind the scenes at CES video.
Kyle could walk from Fort Collins to Las Vegas and talk continuously about cars. 😊
Hey Kyle! I’d love to see more about the Freewire booth. I live in a rural county in Maryland and I think these would be great options to bring faster charging to where I live! Thanks for being the best and bringing this great coverage of CES!
ID7 in Europe is declared 700km WLTP range. So there must be an actual bigger battery available! I had an VW Arteon and the rear seems to be similar here. Great Aero and great for Highway cruising.
I think we need to challenge every charger manufacturer on real world reliability. I would also press on why the failed CCS1 plug continues to be pushed. I think that connector is a big part of the problem with its manual latch. Why not switch to something reliable like NACS or CCS2 which lack the latch?
Love to see more of the EX90… Not enough nerdy stuff out there yet 😛👍
Two things I'd like to see you investigate. 1) VW OTA updates. We already know they announced 2021 and early 2022 model updates but when should we start expecting 3.1.0 to get updated across the board? There *has got to be* bug fixes that can be pushed out but they aren't doing anything. 2) See if you can probe some of these DCFC vendors and see if any major contracts or plans are in the works. I'm talking about a scale that would make EA start to worry.
Going along with this maybe press the current EA and others why they were so bad around Christmas and out of order charges in general.
Great to see a behind the scenes at CES. I remember designing and building medical displays at several trade shows internationally. Keep up the good work.
Excellent preview. Your ability to identify companies and products is impressive.
it is.... he is going to be the next bob vila, but of the EV world...
You & Dave should have a TV show. Thanks for the behind the scenes at CES 😊
I would love to hear more about EV boat, up an coming EV Fleets, ID7 and BMW
When you were panning across the Bimmers @34:50, I wondered why there was an Accord in there…. had to look twice before I realized it was a blacked out 7. But regardless, imho it looks like a** on the outside. Good job BMW😕
That super E- motorcycle looks amazing. I am looking forward to your coverage and love the behind the scenes footage.
You should try to find out if there are any other companies that want to compete with Electrify America to create a nationwide network. Also really interested in vehicle to grid stuff if you can find it.
I am SO excited about all the charger competition. I really hope the US gets more companies to compete with EAmerica and ChargePoint because our charging network is depressingly poor outside of Tesla's!
Damn, I wish I had this guy's memory. He remembers all of the model numbers, names of gear, where companies are from, even the names of companies' employees. Boss.
Thanks for the cool video! Since I have a reservation on one, I’d like to see more of the Volvo EX90. Thanks.
Bro with the exclusive!! NICE!!
Great video. Thanks. If you can make something more on the cenntro booth it would be awesome. Curious about the vans and the desert vehicle you showed. They are also supposed to have a hydrogen truck there as well.
Redline Reviews right there at the beginning 😅😂. Filming his latest upload 😮
I am partially a Turkish resident(visits frequently), gotta say I'm quite excited to see what TOGG is about to announce at CES
I have used those little Taylor Dunn maintenance vehicles (electric) for many years in the Jeep factory in Toledo . As we talk electric vehicles. Must have tool for emergency breakdowns on production lines
I have no hate for Electrify America, but I do think competition is a good thing, so a video on the other EVSE start-ups would be interesting!
Do love the crates. Only because I've done some packing for long distance shipping. Just small stuff.
I'd love to see a lot about Magna. Any VW ID7 info would be cool too. I'm a sedan guy.
22:01 It isn't a 50kW charger. It's either an ABB Terra 124 or an Terra 184 with 120 or 180kW. Afaik Circle K has some of them running in the US.
The 50kW ones don't have 2 CCS plugs, because they have only one power unit.
30:10 Fastned has already one of them in service as a pilot near Amsterdam.
Lots of interviews with the DCFC companies would be great. Get your comfy shoes ready
Wow CES is massive! I need to check it out one day!
One year 21 miles of aisles.
Since your there you should see if the public level 2 chargers at ces work it was like 1 out of 6 working last time.
Are the Loop Model Ys that charge to 100% equipped with LFP batteries?
Definitely interested in all the charging companies, both home and DCFC and hell commercial level 2. I would ask all the DCFC companies what their primary goals are and if they don't bring it up I'd ask about reliability and also affordability since besides reliability the other big problem is how do we have a successful business plan for DCFC?
You know what I love about Kyle? How many things are "situations." :)
Good take. His CZcams presence is spreading thin with so many channels and can be hard to follow.
Could you stop by at the semiconductor companies focused on EV's? I saw the Infineon booth there for example, maybe Wolfspeed will be there too. Would be cool to learn about the new types of power electronics modules coming out to make anything electric more efficient.
I'm glad I am going this year
Very good start, congrats! can you give some emphasis on the new battery technologies shown and to come? Also, a video on the weight (in lbs AND kg) of each new EV compared to their rated power (in kW) and battery bank capacity will be a very interesting ...it will show which EV company is thinking futuristic as ONE of the MAIN parameters of ANY EV is its efficiency....strongly dependent on the weight...
I would love to hear more about whats next for charging infrastructure. It looks like the future evs all have good range and charging capabilities but the charging options are still limited
Arbe robotics looks to have a 4d radar sensor that can be used to replace a camera when the lens gets covered with rain/mud/etc. Rumors that Tesla is using the Abre chip in their 4d radar. FCC filing asked for confidential until announced mid Jan.
I seen that you walked by the Jeep booth. Wondering if they are going to unveil the new full Electric Jeep??!! Hopefully they do..
Looks like InCharge Energy is providing the charging services for BMW
Would love to see more about onsemi and their newly announced EliteSiC tech for EVs as well as their sensor suite for motorcycles.
Definitely interested in DCFC’s and their rollout plans. I’m also interested in non-Tesla EVs, So I would love to see that ID.7 or the BMWs or any other non-Tesla EVs that may be there. (GM? Ford?} Thanks! Have fun!
You should check Wallbox chargers as well, especially their V2G charger, pretty smart stuff over there
I literally just got done watching Soyfan's video on this car (id 7), then you show him recording that video at the beginning! Sweet cameo shout out you did there!
i can’t believe they would let you in to film before the show 😮
I'm glad you didn't freeze Alica in this video
In regards to motorcycling 0-60, the limiting factor is front wheel lift. I don’t think any bikes are much faster than mid 3s unless they are drag bikes with wheelie bars and extended frames.
Love a review of all the ev chargers
To me all these ev chargers are a hype. I have a big fat Y cable from my dryer plug. Works perfect and cost less than $100. Cracks me up how people want to spend money just look cool.
Desert Beaver for the win! No idea what a beaver would be doing in a desert but hey ho!
Are they going to make these in Florida?
Hi thank you for this video clip and you just ask what the audience would like to watch more from what we are seeing on the video. I would like to see a clip you talk more about VinFast. Battery, Charging, and etc... Thanks
Are you going to cover the Fully Charged Show this year? The UK one is outstanding.
Can you do a video on dodge and rams cars:pickups plus all the DC charging networks, chargepoint, blink etc?
Great video. Gotta show the RAM reveal and your first impression.
Love how much Alyssa is into all this and her dad jokes crack me up.
Big fan of the rock joke
@@mattyp99 yesss made me chuckle
Any vehicle to grid tech would be cool to see and BLUETTI awesome battery stuff on the adventure front
Flitway looks to be using Tellus hardware
Very good content
Hi can you do a video on Chargepoint if they exist at CES this year?
It would be nice to see some of the smaller companies as well. Some of them may have interesting product/features.
Hey,Cariad is really interesting for me because its the software company for VW and with VW software It would be interesting to know more abouf their level of development
I want to know what was the screen below the infotainment display in the Model Y, it looked cool?
Can you do a short video on the work BlackBerry is doing with the Mustang Mach E
The Verge bike is for sale in Europe. EU and Tuf certified. USA sales later this year. Try to get a test ride in Vegas.
I’d like to see an super cut of weird mobility options, especially ideas for city mobility.
Awesome range for this new VW.Can you look into the new EV Canoo
Hello Kyle, loved the behind the scenes tour of CES2023. No doubt the event will be spectacular. I’d love to see more on connected vehicles and Payments. A few years ago, Honda and Sirius XM both showcased POC but all seems relatively quiet on the vehicle commerce side. Hope you can find out and report back. I sent an email to you with more details. Thanks!
Hey Kyle, what level 2 charger do you recommend for commercial installs? Something with configurable employee access via app or RFID or both? US market.
Would like to see you interview EVA CEO and ask him why so much of their infrastructure is inoperative.
your way to convention center .you were in tesla model y. how come that model y has 2 screen?... Thanks for the video
Can you visit the booths of some of the other suppliers? So Bosch, ZF, etc.
could you do a video on the V2G or V2H(ome) something like what the F-150 lighting has? I would love to be able to have something like that from my Rivian. What would it take? Would it require a hardware change in the Rivian?
Polestar has said they'll be showcasing the Polestar 3's driver monitoring system (DMS) at CES 2023 - I'd love to see a video about that (and the P3, if it's there)
I would love to see a video on the new Ram truck.
You should utilize rate your charge to test these new chargers once deployed into the wild. Win win for both as it would drive utilization as rate your charge grows. Downside would be all the chargers should work initially.
Gentex is a general automotive part supplier for a lot of different things, based here in West Michigan. I believe their big claim to fame right now is the video rear view mirrors
Excellent preview. Wondering if GM will have the Silverado EV WT trim in the flesh instead of the RST
And when we find out if 400 Miles is available at 42k
a view of natron power cabinet battery would be nice.
Have you covered Canon? I'd love to see what you think of their Lifestyle Vehicle.
Out of Spec Ranch needs a Desert Beaver
Such a SEXY phrase? Desert BEAVER
The Ram Revolution concept truck is to make its debut at CES on Thu Jan 5. Please post some video of it. Thanks
