The Samurai Blue is the best team nickname in all of World Football
True that
the Aztecs sound pretty cool too
Andres Gomez and The Pharaohs
Bafana Bafana
Eagles of Carthage
PhatBoy I really love the nickname "Eagles of Carthage". It's got everything, it's cool, it's hip, it's historical, it's badass and classy all at the same time, definitely my favourite of all times in terms of nick names.
so this guy...is being paid...traverling all around the world...waching football games and talking about them............ppl i belive he understood life.
W.C. IV dream job. Would kill to have that
He's from Australia - big deal, he went to Japan next door - the same as taking the ferry to France from where I live.
[lol - btw]
+Mai Nem His gone to almost every country in the world and done these documentaries lol not just Australia
Mai Nem he lives in England tho lol
living that crazy life jijij
Now this is what I call quality content
Thanks matey! stay tuned for more content like this from across the world!
real football is international football, where players don’t play because of money, they play because of the love and pride of their countries
Yesss
buis00001 Maybe England but not Mexico
David Acosta
Not all players tho
Mexico is one of THE most passionate players...what r u talking about?
Absolutely except for England
2022 and now Doha will always be synonym not with tragedy, but rather, it will be remembered as the place where Japan beat Spain and Germany.
Indeed
Beautiful work guys, really put across the world of Japanese football and culture exceptionally. More of these please!!! 🇯🇵
still it has not hit the USA czcams.com/video/bvhsTvkCfg4/video.html
you disagree with me , because you think MLS is as good as J league ?
or the Americans watch soccer as much as the Japanese ?
Actually, Japan does not differ much from the US. The video touched here on a minority that is into football but if you live in Japan, you would not notice anything changed in daily life when it comes to football matches.
most polite ultras ever
✌️
And passionate to the core!!!
You can't simply talk about Japanese football and don't even mention Yoichi Takahashi, creator of the Captain Tsubasa manga who changed football there forever
Yes that!
And Zico...
Japan's growth as a footballing nation is astounding.
so quick, so is South Korea. I remember 20 years or 30 years ago all they talk about is baseball and now it's all about soccer soccer soccer. it seems like the only country that soccer not yet conquered is the US...
Roses Blue India?
Roses Blue and Australia
@@rosesblue1218 Football*
It's football for one and you wouldn't be able to hear ur fans stood 10meters away from them
It's surprising you didn't mention Captain Tsubasa 😔
Ikr, Captain Tsubasa was one of the most important things to happen in Japanesse football
Two mistakes
1- Baseball in japan is more than corporated stuff, its something that grows up with Japan since samurai era
2- he didn't mention Captain Tsubasa
We wanted to! But there was just so much to fit in we didn't have time! A return is a must!
Captain tsubasa was japans National dream team!
or Captain Oliver
As an Australian i actually really enjoyed this video. Japan has so much history and culture and such passion for football, its great to see them go through. As a socceroos fan, im stressing about not making the wc, because we are in some terrible form. I doubt we will make the cut, and if we don't qualify, ill be barracking for the samurai blue.
EV. Bro beating Syria isn’t gonna be challenge for us Roos, this is what you’d expect with our team but with our form lately idk. Even if they won I’m pretty sure we have to head over to south america
Isaac Madhwan yeah, Australia are a decent team we just need a key striker IMO. We should really beat syria at home but away from home its anyones game. With the poor form we hit reacently i doubt we will qualify. We may get pass syria, if we can play to our best, be than heading to south america will be difficult. At least if we qualify it'll be a great story.
buis00001 yep, 100% agreed. This is why i was mentioning before about us being a good team but needing a key striker who can finish.
Praying for wins against Honduras!!
I'm so glad to hear so as a Japanese. socceroos is one of my favorite teams.
One of my favorite videos in a while from COPA90. Its amazing how japan and football combine perfectly!
+Shinjiro12 🇯🇵 + ⚽️ = 👍
As a football fan from India I can totally relate to this
In India cricket is the most famous sport and football lacks behind it
But in the last 5 years the growth has been great
Grassroots infrastructure is developing and more young kids are playing the sport
We got a new more professional league named Indian Super League and the effect of the league can be seen on the national team
We qualified to the 2018 AFC Asian Cup
Played a draw with China
Hosted the U17 world cup in 2017 and the Indian team giving a fighting performance inspite of our standing in world football
And U16 team reached the quarter final of 2018 AFC u16 championship where they lost 1-0 to South Korea
And I pray to God that we keep growing and just like Japan one day India can also qualify to the world cup 😇
I am brazilian but i always wanted to see india play in a world cup
@@umbroniequalquer4557 ❤️ from India
Isl is improving our talent and interest in football now people's are supporting our national team we are improving but slowly ❤️ we have to follow the japan way
@@umbroniequalquer4557 not only you mate even your ancestors, in 1950 Brazil had even asked to sponsor india for wc trip as we lacked funds back then. In those times india was known Brazil of Asia. Sad that we have fallen alot and are still far away. But one day for sure. Thanks for your support.
@@shekar4403 true but we are far off man not even close. Isl has kinda ruined the league structure. We should follow Japan way for sure and spread football culture.
J League has a long history of bringing in Brazilian coaches and players, and there is a large Japanese community in Brazil, I think that historic relationship should be noted
Who’s watching after Japan just won Spain
Fantastic Copa90. I hope football becomes that much popular in India.
Abhishek Kar u17 World Cup is a big step in the right direction.
You've got cricket. Stick to that buddy.
Simply Historical I guess so. Lets see what happens in the future
Yesssss hopefully we will be big in football soon... Qualified for AFC cup 2019!!! Step in the right direction... I hope😇
It reminds ne of India,
Baseball, cricket
Poor support for nt matches
2002 world cup, u17 world cup
I league, isl
let's hope we do it like Japan we can't be as good as them but let's try our best
These videos are so well written and edited. One of those instances where CZcams does much better than TV
Ah.. you guys forgot to mention Captain Tsubasa, one of biggest influence in Japanese football for those kids
the typing font is from Captain Tsubasa xd
Top documentary
One of the best matches in the 2018 was Belgium v Japan. The fact that you all took Belgium that far was insane. Japan also have the most respectful fans in the World by far.
Japan and Saudi Arabia used to struggle to qualify, and now they are beating the likes of Argentina and Germany. They have come really far.
Nah its one point to beat them when they are weak, but its a completel different point to build up decades of strenght, win, and play most of the time on the top Level.
Amazing stuff as always from copa90. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Quality content like this is the reason why we love you guys at Copa90
Keep it up guys!!!!!
Quality content, well done Eli and Copa90
Dzintars Lubiks 100th like
I'm not even Japanese and I feel really pumped for them, the entire video was quality. The cinematics (sorry I work in finance don't know technical terms), the sound effects and structure of the video is just perfect and captures emotion perfectly.

Thank you!

Japan baseball games are lit af! I used to go to them all the time when I lived there.
Ryan H Did you used to go alone?
The person to love soccer no, I went with friends.
Ryan H The friends are Japanese?
Sometimes with the Japanese, mostly with my gringo friends though.
Ryan H Oh, it's okay. I just want to know why you used to do. Thank you.
Man you guys produce some seriously high quality material. Well done.
I was living in Japan when they qualified for the 98 world cup, watching the game at a friends house, it was the best atmosphere I ever been a part of watching a game on tv.
Yeeeeessss, you finally did Japan, a country which means a lot to me. Copa 90!
+Matthew Waterton
Why does Japan mean a lot to you?
It was there for me in very dark times of my life (depression). I fell in love with the culture, the people... That's why it means a lot to me
That's amazing man! Good for you. I lived there for five years and it most definitely has a special place in my heart.
Thank you Matthew to love our country. I hope you are doing well now.

Your youtube is very interesting.
Although I'm Japanese, I know history of Japan's football now.
I'm thankful to you.
you are killing it this time amazing work
This is why we love COPA 90. The other channels only show Europe. This channel is so fair. I really enjoyed to watch this video.
Thank you from Japan.

Amazing work, editing, everything.
Best video yet Copa fam! Keep up the good work!
woo! high praise. Thanks :)
And thats what football is ALL about emotions no matter what country feeling a sense of pride when your country achieves something is so beautiful everyone cries with you strangers alike
Quality video.
8:48 thats so awesome. You put Leyton Orient in there!!!!
Saw the game with Columbia. Japan did amazing in winning. Good luck Japan.
Being such a fan of Japanese subculture myself, it's really fascinating to see what football is like from Japan's perspective, and that game between Australia and Japan? I was kinda torn, but I will always bleed green and gold. If it wasn't for that game, we wouldn't have to play a do or die game against Thailand, or a playoff against Syria. This coming international break means more to Australia than any other. We win, we're in!
It's alright. You guys still have cricket.
Quality video!
Great video

They recently qualified for the World Cup 3 weeks ago
this actually was recorded during the game that gave Q to japan
Best content by Copa90 so far
Captain Tsubasa made me love Japan Football...Greetings from Brasil
Love and Respect to my Japanese family🇯🇵!!! From Mexico🇲🇽 Loved this video.⚽
The editing here is ON POINT
How come there's no mention of Japan winning the Asian Cup in 1992? You skipped right over that to what happened in 1993.
Otherwise, really good video that gave a great insight into Japanese football and much of how they got to where they are now.
I also want to add that I absolutely love international breaks. Actually prefer them to club games. So much intensity and variety.
You guys have some sick editing skills!
16:37 i can feel your pain bro 😢😢😢
Beautiful, but most heartbreaking sports of all time ❤💔❤
Respect from Brigata Curva Sud Indonesia
