We wanted to spoil this couple with a super-spesh parents' retreat of their very own. We couldn’t change the size of the room, so instead we went to town with all the deets in the bedroom and ensuite. If you’re a fan of tiles and panelled walls, it’s time to get excited!
We'll also tackle the dark and dingy staircase and say bye bye to that daggy old carpet. And the best bit? This week's makeovers are purely cosmetic - so they're easy to replicate at home, even if a big reno isn't on the cards!

I am LOVING seeing a reno where you are very conscious about budget and a lot of the changes are cosmetic. It makes renovating a home seem so much more achievable to me in my circumstance 😍

Tranquility FM agree. Even if I don’t die for the design she comes up with some times, it completely fits the look they’re going with but the best part is that I end up with a million ideas for other designs because it is just pure gold inspiration. Now if only I had a house to do them on 😂

I have to admit, I really had my doubts about this one at the beginning of the video! But you've done it again, it looks amazing. I especially love the built in bench seating! I would never have thought of that, but what a great architectural detail that adds visual interest and practicality as well.
It's amazing how bigger and more open the master bedroom looks without doing any structural changes. Great job once again!

I prefer bathrooms to have doors for privacy and to keep the heat in while bathing but that’s just me. They still manage to make it work and look gorgeous!

I love Bonnie, Erin and Lana. I've been watching for quite a while now and I love their aesthetics and build but tbh they really fall short when it comes to storage. For example: with this master suite, the vanity is TINY and doesn't have a lot of surface area or any storage for beauty products. It just isn't practical or efficient, they could have scrapped the building bench and made a really nice and luxe vanity with tons of storage and just made the space more purposeful and useful. Also, the closet was really looked over, I understand that theres a budget but they lost out on so much potential space above the premade cabinets.
It looks soo good! One of my favorite room transformations yet! Blue is my fav colour so I think I'm a little biased lol

Random, but I think my dog is related to the larger one who lied on his side while you guys stepped over him! My girl does the EXACT same thing & often pick the worst spots, eg in the middle of the hallway, in front of doorways, etc. Lol!

It's very nice but there isn't that much storage. I wouldn't have done a built in bench but a mobile one or tow chairs, a dresser and a proper vanity.

It all came down to size in this ensuite! We couldn't fit a double sink in to the small space.
Maybe a trough sink within the unit would be another option... either way it looks fab

They make new window cranks that fold over and tuck in so the aren’t always sticking out...I’d replace the old ones with these.
