    Thanks Ray Ray! I searched this up after not being clear with just reading instructions. Took less than a 1/2 hour after watching your video. Thanks again!

    Your video on the how to install the rear deflectors is WAY better than the directions or video from WeatherTech.

    Ray, I just bought a 2019 F150 with very low millage and ordered the WeatherTech window deflectors. I read the instructions and watched a couple videos on installing. You instruction video is by far the best one I've seen. You cover all the little details that the instructions from WT and the other videos leave out. Just got all 4 installed and they look great. Thanks for sharing your experience and the great job on a self filmed video. Two thumbs up!!! Jim from SE Ohio

    Very good job Ray. I’ve used these before on my 2011 Super Duty and loved them it it was nerve racking putting in the 2 front windows, you did make it look easier than the last time I put them in. I’m getting ready to install them again on my 2022 super duty, wish me luck. Oh you are a brave man for taking off your wedding ring, my BOSS (wife) would’ve had my head on a plater if she saw me without my ring on LOL. Thanks again Ray.....

      @@bparkinson1234 I agree about the wind noise and thinking about putting some felt tape for a tighter fit between the window and the deflector. Hope that cuts out some of the wind noise.

    I got them installed, however did you notice when you auto roll up the windows in the front it auto rolls them back down? Perhaps it just needs breaking in, but it hits the plastic (not much) and then rolls down again.

    • @DIYRAY
      @DIYRAY  Před 3 lety +1

    Your video convinced me to try the Weather Tech window deflector on my 2022 F350 Platinum Tremor in that carbonized grey. Thanks! Aside from the annoying chrome on my truck, it looks exactly like yours! I love it and it’s obvious you love yours! 😂 Great minds have the same taste in trucks!!
    I’m getting ready to put a Carli Backcountry suspension under mine to improve the highway driving experience and really bump up the travel for better offroad driving. I’m also getting into the overland thing and plan on a bunch more changes. Are you planning any sort of offroad upgrades? Do you do a bunch of offroading with your truck?

    Nice install Ray, they look good. I put the same deflectors on my 2021 f250 and left my windows up for a few days per the instructions but the rear deflectors slide down when I roll my rear windows down. Not sure what's going on, I'm thinking the clips aren't holding like they're supposed to.

      I haven’t had any problems with this item. I suggest to remove the deflector and try to install it again. Once done, leave the window up and don’t use it for a day or two. Giving it time to settle in place. I hope this helps you.

      @@DIYRAY Ray- you did about as well as you CAN do on a windy day. Even a big deadcat on a high end microphone will still mess with your audio. The only real solution is picking a day that’s not windy or has only a gentle breeze. I don’t know what mic you’re using but you might look at something like the Rode Video Mic GO II. It’s a wireless mic that can connect to your iPhone and has a really good mic you clip to your shirt - it’s not tiny like a lav mic but it’s still small enough not to be that noticeable. I have a bunch of mics for my full frame cameras but I use my GO II a lot in the wind. If you clip it to your clothing in front and get your back to the wind, the small deadcat wind screen that the GO II comes with delivers almost no wind noise at all, even in pretty severe wind.
      Hope this helps. Really like your channel - you have your own style and that’s key! 👊😉

    Look inside the B pillar seal where you pushed up the end tab the one inch... Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I guarantee the window seal is sliced nearly through from the end tab being to long and sharp!... Trust me 2 of my trucks ended up having water leaks and weathertech didn't warranty it!... Never will use these again
