    My experience with the RF Turbine dropper has been great so far. I own two and haven’t had any issues (other than the install being slightly complicated) after using them for a couple years. I agree that the Fox and CB posts are nice too.

      Kevin Hill I run the RF turbine as well on my suspension bike - it’s a great dropper. Never had an issue with it once I got my head around the setup.
      It’s been reliable and solid.
      I might try the Fox post on my Hardtail -

    Got a KS LEV integra. Had “issues “ with it dropping down slowly while climbing. Replaced the nitro stick (part that moves in and out) and 1 year later it’s starting to do the same .
    Will definitely give the fox transfer a go . Not gunna be buying a ks lev again, wasn’t exactly cheap!

    Which is the easiest to repair if it blows out? Or do they have to go back? So far the only hydraulic work I have done is the friction seals on my fox rear shock. That was well OK, not too difficult. Could you give us level of difficulty ratings?

    • @WorldwideCyclery
      @WorldwideCyclery  Před 6 lety +2

      They are all pretty similar for repair. You can do it yourself and small parts are widely available. I think the Reverb is probably best when it comes to small part availability. But they are all very hard to work on yourself. We typically send them back to the manufacture since it isn't cost effective for us to do them in house. A lot of places service RockShox. Fox and KS both have US based service locations you can ship the posts to.

    • @davidsuzukiispolpot
      @davidsuzukiispolpot Před 6 lety

      Thanks! Being based in Canada, shipping and customs can cost quite a bit and introduce delays, so that impacts the calculus a bit for cost-effectiveness of doing at-home repair. If it were out of warranty, I might try it myself. If I mess it up, it could still go back the factory, I hope.

    Until literally one day ago, I would have simply saved my money and gotten a Oneup or PNW dropper, because I need at least 200mm (being 6' 6" has disadvantages). Of these three, the Reverb was the only one over 175mm, and I don't really care if its gotten more reliable, I don't particularly want a hydraulic dropper.
    Thankfully, Fox just released a 200mm Transfer (they've updated the lever as well), and if I was to make a "money no object" build it's definitely what I'd run.
    Unfortunately, were I to get a dropper today I'd still get the Oneup for cost reasons, as my budget is more Polygon Siskiu than Yeti SB130.
