      It’s a customer car not my own and yes we live in an area where it snows and they salt the roads so it destroys vehicles

      @@maxautouk ahh I thought so,here in Brazil it's not so bad..
      I managed to take the whole thing apart thanks to your video;
      Of course it's not the first time I do this but seeing it is always better..
      Sending the break pads out to re-lining.
      Another job here is the air suspension...😰🤬😡

      The air suspension can be a little bit unreliable, that is why so many people convert the vehicle over to springs - I even have a video of how to do it on my channel somewhere 😁

      @@maxautouk I've seen a kit from NZ that replaces the whole thing but leaves the air struts...if I can't manage to get the car up,I'm gonna order it.
      I changed all the o rings using a kit 4x4parts or something like that,from the UK, now I'm ordering the kit to overhaul the compressor...
      Do you know if on the rear brake pads there's supposed to be an Abs sensor on both sides?
      I only saw one on the right.
      Thanks for replying

      @MikeTarifaArtist the abs sensor is a different sensor - the one on the brake pads themselves is a wear indicator sensor and when the brake pad gets low it breaks the sensor which puts a light on your dash board telling you to check your brakes

    That chassis looks like it'd been sunk in the bottom of the ocean :D Helpful video to see how to access the EPB for CAN Bus diagnostic.

    Good job. It’s hard to believe these land rovers are of such a poor build quality.

      They can definitely be tough to work on!!

    hello I was watching your video by the way thank you for sharing this work, I have a 2012 range rover sport and just this evening I have the parking brake on, when I try to remove it there is a very loud whistling noise and the parking brake lights flash one yellow and one red a mechanic told me that now it will be necessary to lift the bodywork from the chassis to do this job it cannot be done in any other way and it has a very high cost. but from your video you didn't lift the car I live in Rome and here on the roads they don't use much salt I don't have a thread of rust, do you think it could be a job that you can venture on alone?

    • @maxautouk
      @maxautouk  Před rokem

      Yes it is doable but it is a very tough job. I would ask your mechanic what exactly is wrong because it may not be quite the same failure as mine

    6:06 did you replace the clip on the plug? Mine has broken and wondered if I need a new one.
