Usually when it's junior high, high school and college level, it's dehydration or preexisisting heart condition (heart murmur or defects when you're born) thats not caught in physicals. If it's caught, usually it's either a good doctor or family history. But then again, it could be anything.

I would assume he likely collapsed due to an unknown enlarged heart. I had a classmate that passed away after collapsing on the basketball court the same way. Hopefully Johnson pulls through.

Ya, could have been multiple things with the heart, or a blood clot, just so many things it could have been.
My middle son was born with a defective heart valve 19 years ago which was eventually replaced with a Pig valve, and will not much longer now have to be fixed again in some way. I cry often for that boy... knowing that one day he may die.
