- Antequera is a city and municipality in the Comarca de Antequera, province of Málaga, part of the Spanish autonomous community of Andalusia. It is known as "the heart of Andalusia" because of its central location among Málaga, Granada, Córdoba, and Seville. The Antequera Dolmens Site is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Antequera is the most populous city in the interior of the province and the largest in area. It is the twenty-second largest in Spain.
Its name originates from Anticaria, the old Roman denomination , then Antaquira in Arabic, although several sites scattered around the municipal area testify that the area was inhabited for more than 6,000 years.

Hello. I'm from Antequera, Bohol, Philippines.
Nice city, horrible traffic.
It didn’t seem like there was much traffic at all to me - just a few cars here and there. No traffic jams 😅 maybe you mean lots of parked cars?

Are you kidding? There was endless traffic at all times of the day. Lots of parked cars too of course.
@@SebBrandenberg we must be watching different videos 😂
@@hazelold2882 I'm talking from experience - I spent a few days there last year :) In contrast, Malaga old town is great - practically car free, great buzz about the place, beautiful architecture, bars, restaurants etc
@@SebBrandenberg now I understand 😅 it’s a shame when traffic spoils a place … maybe the video was filmed early morning? I liked Malaga old town too and Cordoba is beautiful… so many lovely places to visit!
