5000+ songs? your Guru must have a kind of diarrhoea. I bet that the music is not really Bach, Mozart or Beethoven-level and the lyrics, well, not Rumi, not Dylan, not Pink Floyd. But okay, if they inspire you, good for you. What is not so good is you throwing around words you do not know the meaning of. Divinity, soul, meditation... How do I know? Those terms are beyond experience. Everything that is part of your experience is good if you remind yourself that all experiences are part of an illusion - Maya. Even bliss. Anandamaya Kosha. Why? because you are still there. And you are the greatest illusion.
willpower can get you as far as Dharana. with willpower, you will never enter the Dhyana. It is not about calling, it is about surrender. I went so far, and I can't get any further, so I surrender. First my willpower and then myself completely. then you may enter the realm of meditation and Samadhi.
that last song is really the song for you. What it is saying is simple. where I end, spirituality starts. before that, it was just exercising.
sit in meditation is wrong. just sit! Learn how to sit. Do not think - oh, I'm meditating, just sit. If you can sit without moving a muscle for 2-3 hours you are closer to meditation. it will be difficult if you don't do your homework on Yama and Niyama. if you did, it is kind of easy. meditation is not about learning new things. It is the art of unlearning your old habits. It is a way of seeing instead of a way of doing. Yet a lot of doing needs to be done still. Long way to go. energies, senses, perceptions, mind and focus... and then surrender. good luck.
