- The 350Z still isn't a popular drift car in Japan despite it being the cheap drift missile of choice in the USA. I decided to build one in Japan & show it to the legendary S-chassis & SR20 God himself. Okamura Kazuyoshi aka OKACHAN of Yashio Factory. His reaction to the build was priceless & now he wants to build one for himself!

the moment you see oka-san taking the wheel and doing his own stuff, throttle control keeps a very steady foot on the gas, feeling the wheel out by just letting the car doing his thing and minimal steering input he is still a legend !
If I were in Japan I'd ask Okachan to make me a nice 180/Sileighty for the street/toge. Nothing too crazy, just a little on the high-strung side and responsive. Personally, as power goes, I'm happiest with just a little more than I actually need. Too much kinda spoils the fun. :)
I suppose by that, I mean in some ways, drifting has always been just one more thing in the toolbox, and FDJ kinda resisted needing to be 'A thousand horsepower and a big tire budget' longer than in America where a bit of rain turns the whole thing into a comedy of errors and otherwise a smokeshow, where anything competitive in the dry is pretty much the wrong thing for any other conditions. I think there's a lot to be said for more of the old school. Control. Balance. Response. :)

The Sony xav-ax1000 is double din screen with a single din case on the top. I hope that helps

You should invest in a 4-post lift so you can store the projects that aren't being worked on currently. More floor space = More Organised = Better Productivity! Loving how the z looks btw

I love seeing the difference in the way Sam and Okachan take the entry to the first corner, their driving styles are very different from my perspective.
It’s also lots of fun seeing Okachan drive Sams car and have so much fun, hearing them laugh together is so good.

Those rims do look like 'What Sammit wants' there. I think those 'sing' on a Sam car. The (previously?) sponsored ones, I dunno, might suit *my* 'drab' tastes, but I've seen em in person and I'd probably at least put some chrome lugnuts on there. Or just choose silver if they came in offsets for my Volvo. :) There's also CZcams to consider, cause Sam's Kei van has TE's but as far as the camera's concerned they may as well be steelies, cause it just looks like dark holes when a camera's trying to balance white paint and shadow.)

Those GKtech parts might feel good now, but just wait till they start failing later. There's a reason their price point is so low. I had one rear arm explode a heim joint, and another just snapped. Meanwhile my FUCA keeps yeeting the top bolt to the knuckle. I just received my first rear SPL (edit:) Pro Engineering arms and my god are they beefy, so much higher quality but an entire rear set is about double the price of GK's set of 3 pairs. I'm eventually stripping everything GK off in favor of SPL, just doing it one pair at a time for now. Apparently I'm told Nismo also converted to SPL for some of their comp cars or some such.

Sony XAV-AX3000 - Single din at the back, party at the front. Its what i used in my v35 wheni did the hydro :)

Use a shallow depth 2-Din headunit like the Pioneers. Should be easy to source a JDM version. Depth is for CDs and who uses them anymore.

there is a cap there, it seems like the center of it is black or something though.

great vid, i just wanted to make a random comment the camera in the middle looking from behind like in the chaser is the better view, shows infront and gives you more of an idea of whats going on, the sideways view throws it off for me just a personal opinion, big fan thanks for all the awesome vids cant wait to see your journey to the bigtime

Bro u should visit south Africa capetown you should see some of the madness that goes on with rear wheel drive cars lol im not a fan of doughnuts & stands even tho ill do it if my mood is feeling it but im more for drifting any idiot can do a stand still & figure out a 360 but my thing is with drifting u have to be a driver that can control handle ur shit or else u gna end up in someone's garden lol u get the point im try to make so yeah bro much #RESPECT for u & ur driving skills u off the chart mad respect for u..... anyone can do a burnout but it takes a real driver to drift....!!!
