man you are hitting it hard with the videos this month. keep it up!
I Am Owned This RC Car Amazing Performance 👌 From india 😊
Nice to see fms also started producing mini bashers
Yeah, would be good to see some more
@@TomleyRCi agreeeee
also cant wait for the arrma grom video didnt know you would get1
I agree its been since losis micro t 36th scale that ive seen an actual micro basher we need more
This size is perfect for brushless, wait until you see what they come out with on this platform it's gonna be rad! I'm hoping they do something like a a buggy or SCT brushless 2s stock 3s capable - the speeds a 1/24th scale would be capable in the right platform would be absurd.
The perfectly timed ad as you started the backflip. 100% impressed haha.
@Tomley RC 3:19 - The rear suspension is looser because that reduces oversteer when you're flogging it, this applies even if there's a weight differentiation front to rear.
Appreciate the honest review!
Really excited to see a durable, capable small basher that can be ran indoors in the poor weather and still has enough pep to run outside.
This little things seems like a blast! I'd love to see some bigger stuff from FMS with this kinda formula. Could change the game if they make a 2 speed work good on bashers with decent maintenance!
honestly would be cool ashell
Yes… although Traxxas tired it, and it sure it was any good
Trashaxx Summit? Jack of most trades, master of none. To fragile and slow to be a good basher and not a great crawler.
@@boduke9428 yep. Doesnt excell in anything but tries everything 🤣
I’ve just got to really appreciate how many videos you’re pushing out.
Pretty cool, can't wait to see the brushless version.
RALPHIE, YOU GOT SNOW BEFORE WE DID HERE IN NORTH CAROLINA!! NICE!!
Back in the 80's-90's I owned an '80, '84 and '85 Toyota SR5 4x4's. I learned real quick that the rear would kick out real quick in the snow and they all needed about 300lbs of weight in the bed.
i might pick one of these up, been enjoying my granite grom that thing is tough as hell. i'd love those shocks to come stock on the max smasher, they handle the jumps really well
Some sweet transition jumps at the skate park. Very cool pocket truck indeed 👍
🤩
Ah I was waiting for this one, looks awesome.
Thanks for that many videos in Dec!!!
No probs dude
Pretty good run time for such a small battery pack. Looks like a fun rig for sure
If they do a brushless version it will be absolutely wicked fast for its size!!!!
Mint! Small scale stuff wins hands down.
Interesting to see a two speed basher as well. What's next? Locking diffs?
Just showed up and has made my morning so much better! Thanks Tomley!!!
😎🤘
Super clean Toyota pickup 🔥
Hey Phil, good to see that you are getting out and being a bit rougher on the cars. When I first started watching you, you were a bit tamer and you would admit that you didn’t like to go crazy and beat the cars up. I like seeing the cars jump and getting an idea of their durability. Good video by the way.😁
Yes, I try to balance it out and give them a good test… without going too crazy!
Great to see the mini's and enjoy the show!!!!
Love your Toyota truck in the background!!!
So I just watched this video today. Imagine the surprise when I was scrolling through Amazon and saw parts of this video attached to this car
I love that it has matel gears. Definately unique in the RC world!
huh?
I have no idea how you can pump out so much content in a month. I am here for it tho! Respect for the hustle.
Wish my grom would wheelie like that!
I expected to be disappointed with the Grom but I’m really not. We got it at hobby shop. Charged with included battery charger in the jeep then put the included radio batteries in. Then my kiddo (9) was having a blast with it!
Not sure about this one yet. It does look fun though!
Im loving it
Goin to wait for the brushless version 😁
Looks really cool. I might have to get myself one of those.
Thanks nice video I’ll wait for the brushless version with better servo saver bits.
Saw their release video just a few hours ago. So nice you got one asap
It dose seem pretty good 17 mph for something that small pretty impressive 👍 also digging your Christmas count down can't wait to see what's next
Winter in the UK, its cold here too but not officially winter until December 21st. I love snow, better half doesn't. My pup loves it too. I have a 1/24 scale Mini Lunchbox and its way smaller than that sucker. That thing is a proper stunt truck. The Lunchbox mini just has those static springs on them no dampners, I replaced all the parts HotRacing made in Aluminum. It looks smart and runs great but it doesn't wheelie as much anymore which some would say is a bonus. I will put up a video if you are interested.
That's definitely alil basher! and skatepark worthy! Awsome video.
It shares a few parts with its lil cousin the fcx24. This could make for a cool mini prerunnner build.
Once they make a brushless version im buying
This is another excellent review. It seems to be an excellent little truck. It's interesting it's a two speed. I guess the slow speed is for the kids on Christmas morning. I am little surprised with the design of the steering blocks. Pillow balls on my other cars after a while pull out and they have to be replaced, but it's a very light car so, it's probably not an issue. It took a real beating at the skatepark. The issue you had in the shop with the carpet is not unusual or some cars. The carpet tends to grab the tire and at the right angle and speed it will break things.
Amain has them for 149.99 rtr with battery and charger. Would be perfect to Hoon around the garage with my buddies.
That's a cool mini basher! I wonder if there could be paddle tires that can be installed on the wheels for driving in snow and sand.
Love this litte ripper ! Tom do you know when brushless version will be available? I'd buy it now but would really prefer brushless if we dont have to wait to long...
Have I ever mentioned how much I like the outtro music you use? It goes, 'Something, something something...... something something boys in the club' 🙂
Nice little basher for the money. Love the vids Tomley
Cheers dude
That looks properly impressive for the size!
Definitely want a brushless version
Me too!
my last fms 2 speed had the gearbox blow up immediately. hope they start making their gearboxes metal
Love what FMS is doing
Awesome content, keep up the great work!
Looks like they have released a video on changing the cups. Awesome bit of kit.. brushless will be ridiculous 😂
Mine should be here in a few hours. Thanks to your review I decided to get one.
I like the tires wish there were some like that for 1/8
Sam is constantly on the look out for a new doomer. He and Lewis make some great content.
Yeah… he loves a good Doomer
Nice little RC 👍🏻👍🏻
Good review . It is impressive .
Not to sure about the decision to make it 2 speed though , while a nice feature , I can't see much use for it outside of a training aid for little ones maybe .
Would rather have seen them just make it 1 speed and brushless for the $150 . And I do hope they produce one in future.
Because ...as you know all the electronics on this will have to go if you wanted to make this aftermarket brushless today . Even the servos it seems because they are using that small plug incompatible with most stock receivers . If WLtoys can put in a brushless all in one Receiver /ESC in for under this price point surly FMS can too .
Its an almost identical comment/ argument/ complaint ?? I had on the new mini Losi Grave Digger and other RCs using these proprietary all in one receiver / ESCs with brushed motors . Its not just the motor , but the speed control and receiver need to be changed as well and maybe servos . Now doubling the price of the vehicle .
Some will argue that's always been the nature of modding and maybe even part of the fun too . But we have plenty of RCs on the market now that don't need modding at all . And some folks just want to buy them that way.
Cheers Phil .
Great things come in small packages Phil 👌🏼
cool little truck, seems tough enough
Absolutely love it!
Good submarine action at the end : )
Not sure what the 2 speed adds but nice to see new ideas all the same
Awesome little truck, Phil! 😃
I hope they fixed it! Because looks fun as heck!
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
And happy holidays!
Oh... Metal upgrades! 😮
Looks like a lot of fun... I know I like my FMS crawler. My dogs... less so.
Those 1/18 grom are fun cars. Servo saver a bit week, broke it in a day.
Really nice the gearbox's reduction, 4:1, maybe can be lock the rear diff o put a more thick oil
I love the how it look's
Oh wow can you imagine doing basher maintenance on a 124 scale ,can’t wait Thanks Phil.🤙😂
Looks like a great little truck 🛻
Shared this release in our club this morning (GRCC) added your video to the post now 😁, these look a lot of fun.
cheers mate
Great little truck Phil, when anything goes wrong with anything i just shout rc cars 😂😂. Idc if i stub my toe. Rc cars
Awesome little car for some close in bashing
There is no issues with the steering link at all . This was user error combined with one bad steering link ... I have tested hundreds of these cars and no steering issues what so ever .. great little truck for the money .
FMS disagree with you...
Their email before this was released said this:
"Due to R&D issues in Colorado, we've discovered that the steering shaft is vulnerable, so its release date has been delayed until December"
To the sky! 🌤
fair play looks pretty good 👍
looks so good.
You gotta love this guy. He reminds me of a slightly podgy, Mr. Bean 🎉
'Cuddly' probably a better word than 'podgy'
@TomleyRC OK, a slightly larger & cuddly version of Mr. Bean
@@DesignedRhyme 😇
Thats a kool little rig ..
Tom can you make a video converting it to brushless? I ordered and and have no idea what brushless system to put in it.. I think pepole will enjoy that video 😁
Sam pilgrim is a national treasure. And I’m not English 😂 dude is a riot. You should collaborate something staircase of doom race lol
Weird, this platform looks like a redesign of the Losi MLST. Neat.
I look in my notifications only for these vids so informative yet entertaining 🎉
haha.. appreciate it dude
I really like the blue and orange one..
Just watched the vid to the end. And... My Max Smaher steering servo broke straight of the box. I thought it was because I was doing douhnuts on grippy carpet BUT, I have since read that others have had the same. I replaced with some metal steering links & a ramp crab servo from amazon as it was the only plug an play servo I could find . Solved the problem an has been fine since but, there's Obs a problem.. Luckily FMS are super cheap :D
11:15 the staircase of DOOOOM :D
The white one is my favorite
I’m gonna wait for tge brushless, but being a Chevy guy I’m gonna have to have one.
Happy to see an XT30. The funky JST type plugs on the crawlers are annoying AF
Personally would ditch the 2 speed transmission from FMS. It’s cool but eventually you may have to replace the transmission servo and its horn with something more powerful to stop it slipping out of gear into neutral as it can’t handle the torque from the metal gearing forever.
Hope the brushless version has locked diffs, this is really cool
This with a single speed gearbox and a little cheaper would be outstanding
Should have got the spade out and made a little ice circuit how they do the ice rallycross
heh you did have a grom? thats awsome!!
@TomleyRC how would you compare this 1:24 MT to a MJX Hyper go in terms of quality? the latter being 50$ cheaper? or, on the other side, to a 1:14 LC Racing at 50$ more?
Very nice looks like a better version of the M**Smasher or smasher 😂
Rather than a crawler platform it seems more dedicated yet still has two speed 👍💪
Better value than most Tamiya kits
looks like it'd make a nice indoor winter basher, its cool as hell but not $150 cool unfortunately
4WD Hilux “Diesel” living the dream!!!!!
Just before you mentioned Sam, I said "Doomage!"
Incidentally, these were mentioned on the SNU yesterday so it's interesting to see this video. Great little trucks.
Hola Amigo Tomley como estas , esta pequeña maquina es divertida me gusta mucho , saludos desde Panama con un sol radiante ,muchas gracias
another stupendous review
I burnt out my first competition rc in the snow. I got a brushless mamba after that, but I haven't taken an rc in the snow since.
Sweet!
Not really on the point but....my 1/16 brushless hbx is three years old, been greased once, bashed harder than my Traxxas, arrmas and axial. I've spent 30 bucks on an esc and burnt holes in all the tires. It's been the best bang for my buck. Couple rubber washers to tighten up the links is the only have too mod.
Funny how these cheaper models have hex hardware and others with led lights but the big companies make you buy it all lol
Hi Phil 😁👋
did you remember to take home your pink gloves phil?
Yes, washed… dried and ready to go again 😀
