Yesterday, early in the morning...What you see is what happened.
An UTair Boeing 767-300 (VQ-BSX) incoming from Moscow as UT5187 and Aerolíneas Argentinas Airbus A340-300 (LV-FPV)...
The Utair 767 was about to land on Runway 02 while the Argentinas was crossing the runway.
By the time russian pilots sight Argentinas (they were taxiing to Holding point of RW25R for take-off) on runway while they were on final approach, they did their best making an impressive and close go around.
After that incidence the plane landed safely on runway 02, and the Argentinas took-off heading Buenos Aires
Hopefully nothing happened.
I hope you enjoy the video, Greetings from BCN,
Miguel Ángel.
0:40 (red plane in background) "WHEEEEEE"
0:31 it was at this moment when the pilot was like "yo what tha fuck is this shit!?"
1:05, the A340 in the naughty corner
Holy, holy sh*t, amazing footage, stunning capture and thank goodness for the quick action by the pilot, magnífico!!!

Agreed agreed blacksheep!!! :)
This is why airplanes should have horns LOL.
The A340 crossed runway twice in this video. Looks like they got lost at airport
Clearly the pilot of that plane does not look when he crosses the street.
This might seem silly, but I only just realised that the spool-up sound at 0:34 is actually coming from the 'skyteam' aircraft who realised what had happened, and tried to clear runway. It times perfectly with the approaching aircrafts 'nose up' .. but its not until seconds later at 00:41 we hear the 767 spool up overhead for it's go-around. Small detail but one worth mentioning :)
It could be the biggest disaster of Barcelona Airport! A fast reacting crew saved the high-risk situation and many lives! Real-life heros!
***** look at you, mate! over 900+ likes for this comment! who knew?

chrmantilla oh, i read what you said. I was more interested in politely suggesting to FlyingDutchMan225 to take it easy ;)
a340 passengers on the right.... can only imagine
Wow, someone really messed up there. That looks like it was way too close. Amazing video to capture!
Thank you for reading back hold short instructions. For your information, #protip, you also need to *hold fracking short* as well.
Thank you for your comment mate!! I'm glad you enjoy the clip.
Yeah - Looks like an error by either the crew taxiing across the runway, or the controller giving them the clearance to do so..? I'm interested to hear the story on this one.
That was not close at all. There were several hundred meters between planes and plenty of time for Boeing to change course.
the pilots of the incoming plane are sharp and take care of business, respect!!!
ANYTIME... I mean anytime you cross a runway you look and confirm with your crew member "Clear Left / Clear Right"... Not long ago we were given a taxi clearance that would have us cross an active runway, but the controller did not specifically tell us "Cross runway XX". What did we do? We asked him to clarify it. It turns out we were not cleared to cross the runway. It was a non event because we hadn't even moved. He re-issued the taxi clearance and that was that. Safety is the responsibility of all involved...
Good flying by the captain and his crew.
Good catch!
I agree with Vio L, ANY time one crosses a runway, even with clearance, the flight crew MUST verify it's actually clear. It may have been an ATC mistake to clear the plane across, but ultimately it's THOSE pilots' responsibility to make sure it's actually safe to do so.
What an awesome video! Perfect light, perfect quality, perfect filming and then such an incident. Priceless! Thumbs up, great work!
The A340 was like YOUR NOT LANDING ON THIS RUNWAY TODAY BUDDY
Great capture my friend. It seems like the air traffic controller must have been tired!
Thank you very much friend ;)!
Not necessarily ATC's fault. The A340 may have crossed without clearance.
But aerolineas pilots first have to check if runway is free!
*fired
Barcelona-El Prat In'tl did they do that?
Is that the sound, just after 0:31, of the pilots in the A340 adding lots of thrust in their best efforts to cross the runway faster? After discovering the 767 on very short finals! Phenomenal catch, I've seen this over the news!
I genuinely believe if this had been a crash it would have become the most famous video clip in the world.
they ALMOST collide. kudos to UTair pilot they made quick turn to avoid disaster!
what's wrong ATC?!
thank you for the video! amazing moment!
And the pilots were like "SUKA BLYAT!!!!"
Glad the pilot reacted so quickly. Thank God!
"ATC service provider stated that the UTAir Boeing could have continued the landing without any danger, the separation was sufficient."
if it is sufficient separation in Barcelona next time choose train.
Good grief, mate! i remember watching this when it only had about 600 views :D Congratz on the views and likes!
Wow that could have been very nasty. Well captured.
huge plane
Glad it all turned out safely! That looked VERY close though, maybe just the perspective :) Absolutely stunning filming and lighting!
UN GRAN APLAUSO PARA TODOS LOS PILOTOS QUE ARRIBAN CON ÉXITO A SU DESTINO.
Utair pilots where excellent and avoided a possible terrible accident! Well done, as well as your excellent footage that I would rate 5 stars!!
That happened to me once as the plane I was on was attempting to land in Nassau, Bahamas at night. It was on Bahamasair (if you've got time to spare, fly Bahamasair!) and we had abort our landing because there was another aircraft on the runway.
I experienced a 'go around' on a flight to Istanbul in 2007. It's a terrifying moment if I'm honest, just when you're about to wind down and feel relieved about landing... the plane swiftly flies back upwards. The feeling of being suffocated for the next 30 seconds is overwhelming :/ Oh and the reason for the go around is because the terminal was full of traffic (planes taxiing).
Good decision making on behalf of the UTair pilot, it was almost instant...Airbus hit the runway and he throttled up...Good, good decision
I'm sure there was some very choice words directed at someone after that
Great video and a good call by the russian pilots!
You could hear the A340 was speeding a bit up while crossing the runway! Amazing catch! Well done :)
Absolutely stunning footage! And soo many views in less then one day! :D Well done! Massive like!
HOLY ****!! The Argentines are wanting to get home quick aren't they??
This is truly awesome. Well done on this one. It was being played on the news earlier on this evening! Congratulations on everything :)
I'm stunned by this amazing footage!
Good job!
Talk about being at the right place at the right time. Amazing footage, man. Thanks for uploading!
Even if it the pilot taxiing the plane across the runway had clearance to do so, it still is his responsibility to look both ways one crossing the runway. The first officer in the right seat should've been doing this. So again even at ATC given clearance to do this, It's up in the pilots of the airplane to fly and taxi the airplane safely. So while ATC may have screwed up, at the end of the day the pilots of the airplane crossing the runway are ultimately responsible here.
You were so lucky to catch that moment.. And it's a great luck everything turned out well!
763 VQ-BSX by the way is now flying in the new livery and belongs to another airline :)
Another great UTair go around video on your channel! :-)
Doesn't look like there was any danger.
Being an en-route controller myself and having all kind of intersections at minimum separation during insane rush-hours with thunderstorms I can imagine how tower ATCs issue RW crossing instructions close to runway incursion.
Anyway, without official report regarding exact separation in minutes and km hard to judge fairly.
Wow Miguel! You were so extremly lucky that you were at the right place at the right time and that you were able to catch this! I really loved that video and I don't even get annoyed by watching it on every news-page of Germany..! Well done, I hope that you will have an other catch like this soon!
Greetz
What a Great Pilot.....!!!!! I Salute Sir @ UT Air ................!!!!!
Great catch! What the hell! A close call for B767! The ATC need to wake up!
prakash sharma what do you mean?
I mean the ATC didnt do their job properly.
Must have been really scary for the people inside the airplane on the ground, they saw that other one coming
"Look, they nearly missed!" - George Carlin
Official report was that ATC gave clearance to both planes.
What a capture. Wow. That was indeed way too close!
Great catch, I wonder how the UTair pilots must've felt
who is here becaouse of HI.
Very good decision that was probaply near stalling, you deserve a medal
Russian pilots are the best!!!
holy shit! looks like it was VERY close... weren't these Argentinas pilots taught to first look left and right before crossing a street? haha, great vid amigo! big like!!
Wow! Great catch!
There is only a very small window of time--perhaps 2 seconds or so---that an accident like this can occur in. This is due to the fact that (1) Planes while landing can pretty quickly react and nose-up to avoid collision, and... (2) Planes crossing runways on the ground tend to get across the runways quickly. It takes a "perfect storm" of conditions to get a collision at a modern major airport.
I imagine there were some words between the Utair and ATC.
I was in the airport of Barcelona . It's very beautiful!!!!!
Bravo!!! Pilots of Utair the best!
Wow! Simply amazing video! Hopefully this doesn't happen again, as it was a close one. Although did you a great job of filming. :)
Thank you friend, nice to see a comment coming from you!
Greetings from Barcelona!
Wao wao Bravo 👏👏👏👏 bravisimo👏👏👏the best pilot✈️✈️👌
Amazing!!! That made my whole body shake and my teeth chatter!!! Talk about a 'close shave'!!!
This event has been overblown and has received more attention that it needed to. No, they were not "seconds" from disaster. The go-around was perfectly routine and mandatory given such runway incursion. The camera perspective makes them seem closer than they actually are.
Wow! Amazing capture!
That's thriller-type shootong !Bravo Miguel !
Wow, amazing catch. Loved all the action!
Enorme documento has captado, enhorabuena.
Brady's Plane Crash Corner sent me here.
Gran vídeo con excelente calidad.Enhorabuena.Qué equipo usas para realizar las grabaciones? La calidad y nitidez es impresionante
That was close... Outstanding video..
This happened to me once in Calgary. Scared the shut outta me almost touching down then shooting back up. Circled the city for 15 mins, then landed safely.
Thank you for your videos. You're lucky to have recorded this video. Good luck in the future.
Buena caza ! Queda para la historia. Por suerte no pasó a mayores.
Gracias por tu comentario! Lo mejor que pudo pasar es nada ;)
Thanks the quality of video is excellent...and hopefully nothing serious happen...
Great capture. Saw this on the news and then realized I am subscribed to your channel.
good aviation skills. moves, the skies are flooded with air traffic.
Get ready for VIRAL! It will be on the news pretty soon!
Did we enjoy the video? What a question - of course we did :)
Thank you!
wow, think someone slept there !!!! thanks god, nothing happened..... really nice video !!
UT air Pilot super active !!!
Nice catch!! I caught my first go around last week at KLGA!
Thanks for the explanation! Amazing footage!
Lol, funny to see how some guys believe it is just a normal thing with no danger.
The crossing airplane did not make a visual check before crossing the runway. ( despite of beeing aproved to cross or not, the pilots must check the area before crossing a runway).
If the plane had just landed, the plane crossing the runway would not check anyway and would have happened a huge accident.
Danger situation yes, but an accident did not happened.
Impressive russian pilots skills! @UTairAvia- the Russian airline.
0:45 HELP!!! I'M LOSING ALTITUDE! lul!
26 million views in 19 days?!
WTF? What are they doing there? Amazing Catch and Video! :O
Pfft, was insane mate!
