    Great little charger, very reasonable. Not surprised it's a bit underpowered for the 2 batteries you're using, especially considering the price. You can always add an inexpensive power supply and you have yourself a charger that will take care of 99% of your needs and still not break the bank 👍 Funny thing with these small chargers, so simple and clean, I almost feel like I'm getting ripped off, lol!

    Thanks man, Top walkthrough video!! ( However your theory on '' Balancing '', Doesn't hold water sorry.
    I've read the comments below in the thread. It's only my opinion, It's not a discussion point or meant to be an argumentative topic and I apologize if it comes across as such 👍 )...
    If anyone is considering buying this charger.. This is absolutely brilliant for the price, So simple to use with plenty of grunt to charge those huge packs without worry. Also awesome for the smaller packs ( just remember to adjust '' Target Voltage to suit your packs, ie: An 8000mAh Batt should be charged @ 8A 2400mAh should be charged at no more than 2.4A and so on.. Plenty of dudes charge at higher than recommended rates, But that's their call as it can be done.
    There are plenty of fail safes built into this charger but good habitual safe usage is always a good place to start.
    Great for out in the field too off a 12V car battery, It's simple, Just as fast and just as safe.
    This model has now become my favourite charger.
    In closing... *Never leave any charger unattended, No matter how good they are, Even if you are only ducking out for 20 mins or so.
    Great walkthrough Razor RC!! Cheers from Australia.

    I think I would still prefer my T240 duo from HTRC. Between the touch factor and the programmable memory setups for the batteries one owns or uses the most, is a way more user friendly way to use a charger, at least for me! And it's way cheaper, like a third of the price, and include the balance ports and all types of connectors from small jst up to even traxxas specific. I know you like it too!
    Anyway thanks for the review.!

      That T240 is like 150W at $100 for the additional $50 bucks you get a dual charger another 50W fully adjustable from side to side with all the plugs included. Seems like a very solid buy to me. Very comparable to my HTRC T400 *$125* Good job GensAce 👍🏾❤️

    • @RazorRC
      @RazorRC  Před 2 lety +2

      The Imars Dual is higher quality, smaller, and lighter and has more features, but is limited to more like one 6S and one 4S simultaneously on AC due to the 200W limit. The Hota has 300 watts on AC so can do dual 6S batteries better (without an external power source).

    • @crbalch1
      @crbalch1 Před rokem +1

      Your cars lighter port is only designed for small amp loads probably 10 amps or so depending what the circuit is fused at. Most lipo chargers on DC voltage would draw more amps than the circuit can handle. Best case it would blow the fuse but I've seen burned wiring harnesses and $1000s of damages in my time repairing cars. I would hook straight to the battery and even then have it fused. Just be careful not to run the battery low

    I don't understand why so few chargers have toolkitrc capabilities?
    They are so poorly equipped software wise, that despite having dual and quadruple charging options, a single line toolkitrc still seems to be the best first charger.
    Especially for a person that assembles or purchased their first RC. Most faults in rtr or in new parts arrived, can be diagnosed with toolkitrc, if we don't have a stable of other vehicles, that we may use to swap&test electronic parts with.
    And to have second channel, with those prices, we may buy a second single channel toolkitrc and have added redundancy benefit if something dies on one of them. Or a dual channel cheaper charger to get 3 channels total, or even those more basic balance chargers that have 1.5-2A capabilities to use as more channels with only downside of not being able to charge outside with them basic ones.
    I know reliability is most important, but they are just SO basic those dual and more channels chargers (Inc toolkitrc dual)
    Did this one have at least cell resistance, cause if not, then this is stone age charger imo
