Homonymy carries completely different meanings. For example: I want to drink milk. Please milk the cow. (The word ‘milk’ is a perfect example of polysemy. Though the meaning is different, yet it is related to idea of liquid milk. Homonymy: For example, The dog barks. The bark of a tree.
