That slide at 2:21 was fire!
This is a product presentation, not a "How-to-Setup" video. You talk about the features, about what "we can do" but there is no "How to do it" information, e.g. what is plugged where, potential alternatives etc. You assume we do know the basics, but this can't be happening when we visit a "How to Setup" clip. I want to be clear ; the video is still worthy and helpful, just not in the means of what the title suggests.

Hi Guys, this ATEM mini Pro is bonkers! Quick dumb question...When recording to the SSD drive, and I am cutting between cameras - which in this case will be (3) Cameras. Will the recordings record "All Three" cameras angle shots? when I review the footage later?

Mini pro records the switcher as you use it as one feed but the newer mini pro ISO records it as a main feed and all 3 individually
I can only record from the (only) HDMI output to a Hyperdeck Shuttle.
So how can I see the multiview while recording the program output?
Nothing on Microphones? C Cable does not normally accept audio. How to setup a wireless mic for example?
What is the point of multiview if you can't use it while sending a fee out? The preview screen as well.

I connected two long hdmi cables to my Z7 cameras, but one of the cameras would not come on, but when I use a very short hdmi cable for one of the cameras, it will now work

Just set our mini pro iso up and can’t get a clean camera recording.. my recordings show the camera settings just like the camera flip screen does.. is it maybe a setting I need to change somewhere? Using Sony a7c

you could embed the audio via the cameras. That allows you to do Audio Follows video & control the audio per input/channel - The Atem has a built in audio mixer. If you want use your own audio mixer, you can, but then you need to connect it to the Atem as an XLR out of the mixer into the Mic input on the Atem using an XLR to 3.5mm cable. Alternatively, take your mixer out via USB (if it has this) and straight into the PC that you're streaming to
wow,i just bought the atem mimi and it doesnt have multiview!! how will i preview my 4cameras and record at same time,do i need to get a multiview to preview the 4 hdmi input and a device like atoms ninja or tv-assist
If I have a Sony 4K camera will it capture the video in 4K? Or is this only for black magic cameras that it will capture in 4K? Thanks
Great question! The video will be recordede in 4K as your camera used has the capability to record in 4K.

Hi there, no you do not. The ethernet is purely there to allow you to have multiple operators on the same network

I guess I'm not understanding how to connect the Program video out to a live stream software like OBS or Wirecast or w/e. How do you get Program to go to a separate laptop so you can do things like add a title screen for a live stream or add lower-thirds while streaming to Facebook, CZcams, etc.?

I have aPTZ Tenveo VHD202u model which we are trying to connect to the atem mini pro. The output of the Tenveo camera is USB 3.0 type B straight output. What is the best way to connect to the atem mini pro? We have tried HDMI connectores but nothing is working. Thank you for your help

That's IF, and I mean IF, the usb-c out lets you record to a SSD. It's a KNOWN issue with the usb-c. on all ATEMs
Would I still need to use a capture card to transfer the footage over to the monitor? Or can I just directly plug the HDMI cable into the ATEM Mini Pro to get the video feed to see on the monitor?
Yes,you can directly plug in a monitor with HCMI cable, you get to choose what is sent to the screen Eg: multi view, program out, camera ins1,2,3,4. This feature is only seen in ATEM mini pro, not the ATEM mini
I have VMiX on one computer and have ATEM mini on another computer. It switches great but I want to run ATEM mini back into the other computer that has the vmix on it. How can I do that?

My church is doing initial testing for live-streaming. We are using the ATEM Mini Pro. I have setup a gigabit 5 port switch and use Cat6/7 ethernet cable from ATEM to switch and a MacBook Air to switch. Sometimes the two will not initially connect. I have 2 approaches that solve that issue. [1]. I always start the MacBook first and get the ATEM software all the way up. I then apply power to the ATEM Mini Pro and wait for it to boot up. They almost always will connect. [2]. If they are both powered up but still will not connect, I pull the ATEM MINI Pro power plug, wait about 3-4 seconds and plug it back in. This seems to always cause them to finally connect. Mike

Hi, do you have an idea on how to return to the default setting where you can directly switch Camera 1 to Camera 2 without clicking Cut or Auto? I have set it up to be like that and somehow don't know how to return it to its default setting out of the box. I cannot also find the setting in the Atem App on pc

How do you connect it to the pc and then stream to any social media and youtube with the atem mini. What cables do you connect where and how to configure the settings?
I use a ethernet cable. If you look at the back of the atem mini pro, there is a ethernet cable you can connect to your computer. I also stream using OBS, so I connect the atem mini pro with a usb c cable to the computer and from the computer, I select the atem as a webcam.

@@almedogjurgji there are two ways to go about it. The first way is to use the Atem software to connect to youtube or other social media platforms. for this you have to connect the atem mini pro using an ethernet cable to a pc. The second way is to use OBS or another livestream software. for this, you connect the atem mini pro using an usb c cable. this way, the switcher acts like a webcam and you can use it to stream anywhere.

Hi,great video. One question: The mini pro has 2 outputs, one HDMI for the monitor and one USB C for the computer. However, if you also would record the stream to a harddrive, then the USB C is occupied with the computer. Suggestions on how to solve that one?
To record directly to a hard drive, you would need to connect the hard drive to the computer and save a copy of the recording to the drive.

Yes, by using the DSK on the Atem. Unfortunately you'll still need a PC if you want to bring the DSK on. And also to change the lower third if you want to use multiple

Thanks for watching! Just to clarify, is it an audio mixing console? If yes, then it is possible to connect a feed out of that console and use it as an audio input for the ATEM mini. Hope that helps!

Hi does this let me record say I have 3 cameras at the same time? Or do I need to switch it if I want a different angle each time? I wanna record via obs then connect like 2 or 3 cameras but have a constant recording of all angles so I could choose which footage I like during editing. Hope I make sense. Thanks!
Hi there! The ATEM mini pro will only allow you to record the “mixed” file, if you want individual camera streams, you’ll either have to record internally in your camera or go for the ATEM mini pro ISO, which records both the individual cameras and the mixed stream. it works with any camera but you cant control them with the app unless it is those expensive Blackmagic camera. any HDMI out from any camera can be fed in to the ATEM

Not on the Atem-mini but it is avallable for the Atem Mini pro. For the Atem Mini you can use a screen with "loop-through" to assist for viewing.

Yes, this should be too much of an issue.

A lot of issues with HDMI output that do not work with a lot of monitors. Blackmagic dont communicate about this.
