Adam - strap your phone onto your forearm in one of those plastic see thru cases .. that's what I do ... have the EUC app on and bend your forearm upwards and glance down ... and in an instant you'll see your speed .... and unlike the screen on the V12 that isn't visible some say in daylight, the euc app is no problem to see ... it's like one foot away ... like the mirror velcroed onto the outside left wrist so I can see traffic behind me ... and on the other arm I can see speed and battery level at a glance ... others do this .. I'm surprised you're not. Great video.
Got this wheel on the 28th of last month, and there's just nothing like it. The more I ride it, the more I'm just blown away. I did a hundred miles on the stock tire and switched it out to the Michelin City Pro 2.75-18, and this thing is just a beast on the street.

The wheel can hold high speed because of the huge diameter wheel; but it is slow to accelerate (like starting in 3rd gear) and bad at braking because the leverage of the giant wheel is too much for the designers' choice of motor. Which is why there have been high profile cut outs resulting in bad injuries. Too much power draw to start and stop it, especially as the battery begins to draw down.
Super high speed combined with bad braking. Inherently dangerous design. OK for some. Appreciate they try to push the envelope. For me, pass. VS achieved a better, safer balance of torque to speed, IMHO.
What do you recommend that is still kinda fast and that has a decent range. I was thinking about getting a monster but if the brakes are sketch I'll go with something else lol

My understanding of how these wheels work tells me that when you're stopping you're not using any power in the general sense, you're basically reversing the controller and doing regenerative braking and sending as much power as the controller can handle to the batteries, the reason why the wheel isn't accelerating and stopping as fast could be as you said an issue of torque, but more likely it's an issue with the controller not being able to draw enough current from the batteries to accelerate and to send from the motor to the batteries due to either a limit on the BMS or a limited maximum current cap on the controller they have on the wheel to stop.

8 yeast of EUC experience, but i haven't ridden a Monster! like this.
One part of me is amazed at the sheer range, speed, and how you are handling it.
Other part of me is terrified of Gotway, lack of water proofing, the fact that you can over power it, and the handling + braking of a boat.
Defiantly this is a one wheel motor boat 😂

Any recommendation then from your experience? For all the points your mentioned : water proofing, NOT over powering it, etc.
I have been riding the monster pro for 4 weeks now. 1st remark, the normal driving mode, rather than hard, makes braking a lot easier and combined with a slight tilt back 5 degree calibration. it makes the wheel more comfortable. In addition, I put my right foot forward as far as possible on the pedal and the left to move back as far as possible. The power pad on the right more forward and the left more backward. Despite my 150 pounds I manage to get remarkable performance and quite acceptable braking forces, and better than the monster v3.

Any videos demonstrating emergency situations with euc? Like avoiding a car that pulls out in front of you or emergency braking? I'm interested in euc but it looks terrifying you going 73kph on it.

Are you concerned at all about the controller failures (like Black Cobra's) or fires that have affected this Gotway wheel especially?
Can a beginner ride this wheel. I like your review on this model. I'm new to EUCs and currently waiting for the GW Nikola 84V to arrive here in New Zealand.

I was really surprised that the MPro with thinner wheel had less wobbles compared to the sherman. In terms of stability and manoveurability I think it's a tradeoff one has to make.
Btw: Did you get 140 km range on it under real life conditions? (~ 40 km/h avg. speed, stop and go traffic, some hills etc. or compared to ones in your sherman range review?)

Hi! The price is online something around $3600 USD + the shipping charges. If I order in India, the price will around ₹3,00,000. In this money I can buy 3 ola Electric Scooters, a nice 250cc or 350cc bike or any car in this price range.
Way, way too much costly than I expected.
I would warn anyone from buying a Begode product. I have a Gotway Tesla which needs a new shell. This cost me £1,245 back in 2017. Begode’s response to my enquiries is basically “Tough, we’ve discontinued that model”. If you’re going to pay a large sum of money for an eWheel I think you have a right to expect that the manufacturer (or the company that bought out the manufacturer) will continue to supply spare parts. I certainly won’t buy anything else from them.

@@travishamiltontattoos4635 the v11 and the v12 are both wonderful. Also a note worth check is the s18, u can buy a veteran sherman style tire for it so it will have great traction on gravel and offroading. The suspension on it is otherworldly too so it would be an easy learning experience
Looks super fun and really scary . I don’t like the idea of leaning forward to accelerate. Just seems dangerous and I can’t see myself leaning forward while doing 50mph on 1 wheel. I see a guy lean forward too much and his face met the hard floor
i feel like the worse part is braking.. there's only so much you can lean back, on an empty race track? oh yeah it must be hella fun, but damn with traffic i can't even ride an ebike at 60kmh

I look forward to the review but it's the internal resistance of these battery packs that prevents the higher safety in terms of terms of acceleration but obviously decelerating is a different matter and I don't want to speculate about the limiting factors so focusing in on that internal resistance I am chiming in yet again that Toshiba wants to supply batteries to these unicycle makers. The problem is people keep on buying unicycles that don't have Toshiba batteries in them.

Not really, start with a smaller wheel like the Tesla V2/3,Inmoion V8F, King Song 16S, then work your way up, because You'll end up dropping your wheel.
But the decision is yours to make, I can't force you but give you my opinion which you can disregard.
I started learning on the Sherman but I'm not that strong and a lightweight with 60kg so I switched to the Tesla v2, since start and stopping will take quite some strenght from you in the beginning. If you are a stronger heavier rider, it can be fine though :)

The poor breaking and lack of reasonable torque to even accelerate properly are deal breakers for me. It seems very scary to be able to travel at those speeds on a road and not break very well if something unexpected happens or pull out in front of you.
I'm so disappointed every time someone shows a Begode (Gotway). Because I want one, but can not have one. The reason is that I need it for commuting. But Begode (Gotway) is just a toy because they can not withstand rain. My Ninebot E + was excellent, I could drive in all kinds of weather. Then I bought a Kingsong 16X, which stopped working, the first time I drove a slightly longer distance in the rain (approx. 2km). Now I do not buy wheels without a minimum of IPX5.
I live in Kyiv and one of our EUC seller is offerring some custom waterproofing. You should consider looking for some1 local who could help you do that.
@@Pomsta5 thanks, that was a good idea. I'll check it for my existing wheels. However, all outdoor motor vehicles made for daily use (commuting) should be rainproof. The only way to get the manufacturer to do something about it is to demand it. But the only language they understand is money. So if I buy it and fix it myself. Then I just tell them that they can continue to make them in the same way. But if I would rather just buy Inmotion that has IP ranking, until they get IP ranking. Then they'll fix it. The only problem is that we needed enough people to act in the same way for something to happen. But because most people are too stupid or ignorant to understand or act on this concept, this will not work. But I do not have the conscience to buy a product that has such a fundamental deficiency.

Buy a Sherman, but add 20% to the price. You can use these 20% to buy a used wheel that you can use for training.
This wheel can't be legal in many countries,in Sweden your aloud to go in 20km/h.
Use one of these GPS sport watches. It will show you the speed and track your stats on a map. You can download everything to your computer.
Thanks for your videos,my friend.....My opinion (but not shared by all, I am sure)is that I do not think the curse to the highest speed is the best way to do good wheels or to make more interesting runs. Our bodies are not protected for such speeds. It is more and more dangerous to put those wheel (all brands included) on the market for anybody. Ok for runs on circuit by professionals but not on the commun street. Don't you think ? Anyhow, everybody is free to do what he wants with his body. Please ride safe.😉🤭.
