From what I've heard, Rocksteady wanted to move on from making another Batman Arkham game. They didn't say it verbatim, but it was the general idea of doing a different DC character nonetheless, even to the point of pitching a Superman game.
People expecting a game similar to Arkham is perfectly valid though. After all, this is in the following the Arkham games, in the same universe, with the same characters, by the same developers. I don't think people expecting/wanting something more similar are wrong for wanting it.
Unfortunately he has retired and the first DLC character is an Earth 2 Joker. Voice clips also leaked and it definitely isn't Hamill voicing him. Maybe some Arkham outfits for the character as he looks very different in his main costume.
Preordered the deluxe. I'm a DC fan, and really digging this. Hoping it's a good game. Also hoping it has the addictive nature of Bordrerlands with the weapon and build unlocks and upgrades.

I just think everyone who is a fan of Rocksteadys batman games were expecting a bit more then a shooter, that has you jumping from roof to roof, shooting shit, only to have you jump to another roof to a street shooting more shit. I’ve watched every bit of gameplay on this game and before reviews came in I thought the game looked fun and amazing while everyone said it didn’t. The more I see of this game the more I dislike it. Its sad to see a team like Rocksteady making such a bland-looking cookie-cutter looter/shooter with zero imagination or innovation. It looks indistinguishable from the billion orher looter/shooter games out there. As gamers and fans of this studio we really shouldn't encourage this stuff. They are capable of so much more than this.
The hate for this game is the usual online gaming community witch-hunt target. Content creators will view farm the hate for this game because it’s easy content by making CZcams videos titled “Suicide Squad is a waste of time/pointless/actual garbage” and then a few months later once the views for this game start dying down- “Suicide Squad is a hidden masterpiece”. Which in turn their parasocial fans will base their opinions off of said video, spreading the narrative that this game sucks without engaging with the game in the first place. The gaming community is allergic to something not being binary in enjoyment. If it isn’t a masterpiece than it must be trash. If said CZcamsr didn’t like this game then it must be trash. If everyone is saying a game is trash then it must be trash. Nuance is something not found in this space.

Hopefully the hate for the game is from people playing it previously before they delayed the game. Hopefully they fixed and edited the game to make it more fun I preordered the game but I won’t play until the offline mode is a available.
I’ve watched every bit of gameplay on this game and before reviews came in I thought the game looked fun and amazing while everyone said it didn’t. I don’t care what all the haters say I’m buying this game and I’m getting the deluxe edition. I truly hope this game shuts everyone else up. People are so Jaded from other games and have been very unfair to this one. Even people who got to review it are acting like they don’t know how live looter shooters work…. The real fun is when you start getting endgame drops and making builds not 4 hours in for you to say there is no endgame.

Gotham knights was awesome. My only complaint was they should have added quite a few dlc. The game could still be going today.

@@dankersaur the official website of Rocksteady suicide squad they said you can still play the game without Ps Plus or game pass. But if you want to play with random people online you'll need Ps plus and Game Pass. Here is what the literally said:
"Neither a PlayStation®Plus subscription nor an Game Pass Core membership is required to play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League solo on PlayStation®5 or Xbox Series X|S. However, PlayStation®Plus or Game Pass Core is required to play the game via online co-op."
Wait a month for it to be $30. I guarantee it will drop in price drastically real quick

The more I see of this game the more I dislike it. Its sad to see a team like Rocksteady making such a bland-looking cookie-cutter looter/shooter with zero imagination or innovation. It looks indistinguishable from the billion orher looter/shooter games out there. As gamers and fans of this studio we really shouldn't encourage this stuff. They are capable of so much more than this.

Based off the Batman games and its game style this is a disappointment. If I wanted a shooter game I’d buy call of duty huge let down

The hate for this game is the usual online gaming community witch-hunt target.
Content creators will view farm the hate for this game because it’s easy content by making CZcams videos titled “Suicide Squad is a waste of time/pointless/actual garbage” and then a few months later once the views for this game start dying down- “Suicide Squad is a hidden masterpiece”. Which in turn their parasocial fans will base their opinions off of said video, spreading the narrative that this game sucks without engaging with the game in the first place.
The gaming community is allergic to something not being binary in enjoyment. If it isn’t a masterpiece than it must be trash. If said CZcamsr didn’t like this game then it must be trash. If everyone is saying a game is trash then it must be trash. Nuance is something not found in this space.
