@@wineaddict6625 There's a difference between buying a car and entirely giving it to the person, and leasing it under your own name and just letting them use it. Like if parents were to buy a car under their name for their child, the child doesn't necessarily own it until they give all ownership to the child. What these youtubers who give away cars lots of the time do is lease it under their name so that their friend can't just sell it off for money.

@@aash1305 The thing about leasing a car under your name and letting someone use the car is that it makes you the one legally responsible for the taxes and insurance, or the person you're leasing it from since leasing is like owning a house. You're not technically buying it, you're just paying to use it. So really the person he's giving it too has no obligation to pay taxes or insurance. That's looking too far into the animation though.

Leasing a car is paying to use it from whoever owns it, like renting a house or an apartment. It's different than buying them. Dylan would be responsible for making sure it's insured, and unless stated otherwise in the lease contract, the person/company who owns the cars would still be responsible for the taxes but that's taking the animation bit too seriously.

Not wanting the cars because of "tax and insurance reasons" seems more short sighted and illogical than reasonable to me. p.s. He could have a significant backlog or he uses something more intuitive than Flash. From what I remember from SleepyCast one of the biggest obstacles with animation is dealing with flash and being unable or unwilling to use the more recent programs because they move shit around to much. Wonder if he has or ever will go into his process
