Once had a mini boss in DND named “Tongue Twisting Horrow” it had ridiculous stealth and an ability that allowed it to “throw its voice” it would follow the players and just exude gibberish constantly while staying out of sight and constantly throwing its voice so you could never find it. If you didn’t find it in time you would slowly go insane from its affects and eventually become one of them.
I had a plan for the players to capture it and learn that it was a cursed goblin they could save and cure for a nice reward but they ended up killing their favorite NPC trying to kill it and then ended up selling its head and golden teeth at market.
It's just an angry extrovert, many villains fall into this.
There's a twitch channel called XQC where that happens all the time. truly the stuff of nightmares.
The craziest thing about this animation is that you can actually understand what XQC is saying half of the time.

The storytelling in this one is so slick. The way the protagonist is established early by expressing perfectly reasonable anxiety before the full reveal of the fantastical premise bonds us to her, the eyes are a cool spin on the concept of making a fae creature count grains of sand, but the whole thing is building up to that moment where the girl pauses and looks back at him with pity before fleeing.
It’s one hell of a burn executed in such a way that it’s a thrilling fantasy short in it’s own right, but within the media context it exists it’s also a devastating critique. I’m obsessed
One thing that strikes me is also that while the other girls blame the protagonist for alerting him, they chose the ONLY treasure that really mattered to him. Taking his gold in sacks wouldn't really matter. He has hoards of those. But what he values is the views - the eyes. He's purely greedy for them, he sucks the eyes and then replaces his OWN with them, showing he doesn't actually need it, but he wants it. And of course, had they just taken the gold in sacks, it wouldn't be as difficult as trying to move the giant pots.

It’s such a classic fairy tale mistake, too, because what would they do with these eyes? They aren’t weird stretchy frog-men, one assumes they can’t absorb the magic from them. They just saw the containers and figured they must be valuable. Not realizing that value is subjective, and that when it comes to reaction streamers, value is literally in the eyes of the beholders

Wow, I've watched this many times and this is the first time I truly get the meaning of the eyes (viewers). That's a brilliant metaphore, we gonna miss this papameat. But I will give u my eyes as soon as your back!
I find myself pausing the video to catch all the little details and movements that make this animation so well put together. I used to make comics in school as a kid for my classmates to read and I still remember all the details I'd put into each panel and attempting to keep that continuity going. I'm glad MeatCanyon makes all these; it's this sort of absurd dark humor with a touch of mockery that I'm drawn to and tend to create. Keep at it, Papa Meat. Or don't. Your videos belong to us now.

So he is obsessed with collecting views/attention (eyes) and that's all he sees, the only perspective he knows, and all he desperately values and hoards despite "not needing it" (classic lol). The cautious girl didn't know what she was getting into but when she saw him scrambling pathetically to grab the views she realized she didn't want that life.... and that's how she escaped intact. The other two already knew what they were here for, they wanted his method/type of "wealth," and if they'd lived maybe they would've eventually become like him. This is probably one of my favorites from Meat in recent memory, damn.

This has got to be my favorite MeatCanyon animation. From the exaggerated character design to the theme of views becoming like currency these days. As a filmmaker, I can honestly say that, like all of MeatCanyon videos, this is a masterpiece. My favorite part has got to be the attention to detail at 1:13 where we see his reaction from his live feed. *Mwa*. Chef's kiss. 4.5/5
