People over here pretending like they were doing some crazy math formulas for percentages, then you're just using your fingers to explain this in elementary terms for us. LOL Thank you for keeping it SIMPLE!
Man going through all the CZcams channels about this shit they all try to sell a product a learning course something and make it all out to be hard and expensive but this guy and like two other make it fucking simple 🙏
Need to get rid of mold in wash room.
Exactly!
Thank you for making this video. Under 5 minutes, to the point, ratios for siding and roofing. My eyes were getting crossed watching other videos spending 10 minutes explaining the concept of ratios alone.
Everyone trying to sell their course for this simple Info man is blessing us
Yes, that did help someone out there, thanks Scott.
Best explanation in the easiest way that I’ve watched. Great channel
Literally the best channel for beginners
Dude your videos are awesome thanks for taking the time out of your day to make videos and explain stuff. Your videos have helped a lot thanks 🙏😎
This was really helpful - thank you for posting!
Appreciate you sir! It’s awesome to see more of a “grass roots” approach.
I have a small setup but I’ve been doing pretty well for my first year.
Keep the vids coming!
Thanks
Thank ya brother!! This was explained in perfect form! Helped out A TON! Thank you.
Best video ever , people add cool music and long intros but you got straight to it dude ! 🎉‼️🤙🏽
Very helpful video, thank you scott.
THIS VIDEO SHOULD HAVE 100K VIEWS! THE BEST I'VE SEEN.. THANKS!
Thank you for your knowledge sir, it should definitely come in handy soon.
Brother, thank you for keeping this so simple! All of these guys are out here trying to sell this information, but I'm not about to pay $400 just to learn what percentage to use on whatever.....😂
Wow you made that so simple you didn't go through no science you just got straight to the point that's amazing thank you may God bless you
Yessir
Thank you so much for the simple explanation! Everyone always has way over complicated ways of explaining this that do no register in my brain. It is pretty simple, but other people make it sound like it's not and make me overthink it!!! We appreciate you man! Keep it simple! Much love from northern Virginia!
Hey Scott thank you !! Great stuff
Danny Falcon thanks man
Great info! Thanks!
Thank you. Watched 6 other videos to get the simple math. Well explained!
Thanks for the help.
I’ve been looking for a video explaining this. Now I feel like an idiot because you made it so simple. Thank you!
Thanks for this video!
That’s what’s up! Thanks for the easy understanding
Damn Brotha, 3 days or so trying to understand this topic and I watch your video and instantly understood it. Thanks
Keep it simple
Thanks man this video helped a lot I’m subscribing
Thanks scott down and simple approach
Thank you for your simple explanation. I am a homeowner and bought 12.5 bleach online. Per you suggestion 1.5 percent is sufficient for cleaning. I will try it out this weekend and hope to get good results. Thanks once again👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks Scott great channel
Finally found the best explanation video
Thanks for making this so easy to get 👍🏾

I like Jason from King of pressure washing does it, 50/50 bleach and water, add a bit of surfactant then for house wash you downstream it and for roofs you use the 12v. I like keeping it simple, specially with employees.
Thanks for the info
Awesome and easy explanation about the ratio. It was like a lightbulb turn on in lil brain/head. I don’t know why I didn’t think about that. Lol.
Yup
It helps so much thank you
Great ratio breakdown I finally understand the percentage
Yea man
Thanks for breaking that down so that I dont have to get out a calculous calculator when tryna figure out my ratios. Helpful simple advice brother
Doing my first soft wash job today!
I with you all the way brother. It's just that easy.
Very helpful, appreciate your video.im just starting part time a month ago. Love your shirt.
Nice
Thanks for the info brotha
Thanks for all the help! Learning a ton from the channel.

@@ScottCleansIt I just bought an X-Jet. Should I go no tip and mix my own SH or go straight Bleach? I have a 4 to 1 ratio tip on but that will only give me a 2% bleach correct?

I been in the construction business for over 20 years and yet you're video finally unscrambled the numbers in my head. Go figure.. thank you
Good stuff here, Scott. Thank you. 500 subscribers? LOL! You’re at nearly 4000 L! Good job! Now I just have to find you on Instagram.
Thank you!
Thank you for keeping it simple. Can you explain why you use a higher concentration of SH for shingles/cement/etc. How do you know when to increase SH or Decrease based on the material your washing?? Is there a resource that explains that?
Thanks again
Thank you brother major help
Awesome explanation, very easy to understand! I carry some cheap blue tarps with me, if I even think any type of shrub/plant whatever might cause me an issue I wet them down then tarp them.
Robert Fling good stuff we do too
Sorry to bother you man but I'm not dumb or nothing but I cried don't get it because I'm down streaming I'm working on building me a soft washing machine right now so I was thinking if I fill my tanks up with pure sh 10% and I'm downstream by the time it gets to the end of the gun it should be 50/50 correct about 5% I understand what he's saying if I had a soft wash setup I would mix in the tank like that you know 50/50 but since I'm down streaming if I did it fifty-fifty it would be more diluted by the time I got to the nozzle because I'm down streaming and it's going through you know it's pumping water behind it it's already mixed with water correct
@@jamesphillips9682 im not 100% sure what you are asking but even at 50/50 mix with 10% SH you are running 5% SH out of your gun. That's enough to nuke most plants and shrubs even if you pre-wet them. If you are down streaming you need to do a draw test with your machine and figure out what's going on and mix your chemical/water accordingly. For a house wash like 1.25% percent SH is more than enough. Hope this helps.
Hey Scott. I've been following u since you got started. We both bought the Northern tool Soft Wash System. I liked it. It paid for itself already and I made some upgrades to it. Like I removed the heavy stiff clear hose and put on 150ft of flexzilla 5/8 garden hose and its so much lighter and flexible. I made my own pvc wand with ball valve and quick disconnect. But now since I'm getting more experienced. I stopped using the Northern tool Soft Wash System and I bought the Northern tool 26 gal tank $50 and Northern tool 5.5 gpm 12v pump $160 I put the 150ft flexzilla 5/8 garden hose on the pump and for the suction hose I cut 5ft flexzilla garden hose for the tank. The pump I have a filter on it and i used 1/2m to 5/8 barb fittings for hoses With the 5.5 gpm pump compared to the 4gpm man it's shoots like 10ft father and more water volume! Bigger tank is better too. This has made a huge difference!
D Buk awesome!!!! My next stop will be a gas powered system
you have a pic of your setup?

I use the gallon jugs as well. If you have a HD or Ace near by they have it as well and it’s a couple a little cheaper. HD sells 3 gallon cases for under $10.
Really? Ive never seen it at Hd before…
@@samuelestrada-porter488 It’s in every HD and Lowe’s around here. Currently $17 for a case (4 gallons). Supplier is 40 minutes from me so there’s times I just go to HD and grab 20 gallons or so until I can get to the supplier. It’s twice as much but pennies overall. We also have 1000’s of homeowner pools in my area so maybe that’s why they stock it
@@thedirtywork you are a life safer I had to reply. I dont know how I never saw that in HD. Just called, they have it. Thanks x1000000!
Thanks for the informative. Ratios are important and it seems that other CZcamsrs are often vague. Using the 10% product from Walmart makes the calculations easier and it’s cheap! Question - what gas your experience been with ratios for concrete?
Keep it up and best of luck with your channel.
Thanks for the intel

WOW BRO!!! I've been trying to understand this process and this is definitely the best video explaining this topic. I understood and your process it's pretty simple. I'm glad you are using 10% SH to mix it because it's a lot easier to do the math. I'll do the same as you and also will buy the same product. I'm new in this industry and I know I'll learn more in the future, but this process is gold for a beginner like me. Appreciated!!!
If you are cleaning a roof at 5 percent mix and have 100 gallon tank get 50 gallons of bleach and pour it all in the 100 gallon tank then fill it with water that's a 5 percent mixing ratio.

Great video, thanks! I'm batch mixing in a 55-gallon drum, how much surfactant would you add, mostly going to try and do roof washes. Thanks.
Straight and to the point, good work! How’s business?
Great video, thank you! what percentage of sodium hypochlorite would you use for a house with white stucco? also, do you add soap to it?
I picked up the pool essentials and the XTRA so going that route.
Good info- much needed - what other chemicals do you use. Let’s say there’s rust stains. Or other kinds of stains. I want to learn about chemicals period like what works best where

Great explanation brother. I appreciate it. Mental note, cover petunias. LOL.

Hey, Scott, what percentage of SH would you use for spanish tile roofs?

Thanks for no BS. Decided to do my own house since it is not rocket science :)

Thanks for the tips i Appreciate all the information as for i also want to start soft washing and power washing! And how much or how do you charge for gutter cleaning?
Erik Roman it depends on how high up, how dirty, etc. usually start around 200
Great video
It might be worth mentioning the thing with the 4 to 1 issue when it comes to down streaming versus soft wash. Like, if you're doing down streaming, it'll apply a 4 to 1 ratio to it, but if you've already diluted it with water the way you would have for soft wash, now you're using _way_ less bleach than you had intended.
Liked your video. I have vinyl fence. I want to clean it. I have a 60 gallon sprayer. How much chemical to water in my 60 gallon sprayer.
Subscribed. Thank you for an informative video.
Questions. What ratio of surfactant should I add on top of the 3% SH for my vinyl sides and fence.
Aldo the front of my home is stucco. What ratio of SH should I utilize for that? 1%?
I'm going to use 5% of my aluminum soffits since there are several years of gunk on it since we purchased the home new.
Thanks again Scott!
Just add some soap. Doesn't take much. 3% stucco. Never use 5% on anything but roofs and realllyyyy bad concrete
great info
Hi, great video, Keep up the awesome work. I have a question. If I’m using a downstream and using a 5gl bucket with a 10 percent SH. and I use it straight without mixing it, I heard the downstream will mix it 80 percent water to whatever percent SH Is. Is that true ?
And what percent will that be will it be like 2 percent SH ?
Thank you 🙏🏼
10% down streamed will be a 1% mix. 12.5% will be 1.25%
How percent of SH would you use for a roof tile?
This helped a lot brotha, thank you. I have one question tho. In your 50 gallon drum. Can you have that filled 100% with sh and just move your meter valve open to 5 for when you doing a roof then when you move down to the sidings can you just turn your meter down to 1 to have if at 1% or do you have to pre dilute the sh for each job and just keep the sh metter wide open?
Water tank, SH tank, soap tank. Everything is blended at there metering valves
I have a 5 gallon jug of sodium hypochlorite in my garage I’ve had for 3 months. How long does it takes for Sodium hypochlorite to degrade?
I'm still a little confused when paint oxidize how do you know if it will do that or not when you go soft wash a House?
THANKS
Good job
Why do other people make this so complicated. Thank you so much for explaining this lol
How long do you let the mix sit on the painted wood siding?
Do you rinse after applying initial solution when doing a roof? Also, do you do a post treatment of the roof of a smaller percentage? Thank you!
So if I have a 1 gallon pump sprayer, and I fill half with 10% SH and the other half with water, I’m at 5% SH. Got it. What % do I want to use on concrete driveways/porches?
I have a predator 4400, to do the water bypass to go in the tank so I don’t have to cut off my machine. How would I route that
No idea
what would you use 12.5% straight SH on? I always thought that's what everyone used on everything. 😅
Nothing
If you have a downstream injector, how do you know what percent of SF is getting applied?
My man.👍
What do you use for fences? What ratio?
I ordered an adjustable injector, now what ratio should I set that at? I really want to wash a roof with that setup but I’ve been reading that you can’t really get a hot enough batch for roofs using a injector.
Yiu can't
what about for concrete? what percent would i use then ? Also, if i get a Xjet, do i do these same percents or is it different for Xjet. For example, Vinyl siding it's 1% for like a pump sprayer is it different when using an XJET?
concrete is around 3% the xjet comes with a chart for the tips
Could you tell me What mixture would you would use on a commercial/ aprartment flat white roofs?
that's called TPO. Start at 3 percent. DO NOT rinse towards the high side of the seam where they join.
Hey could you do a video of how you plumbed your 55 gallon drum?
I didn't build it
Hey man great content, I’m a Worship Pastor and just started this business as a side huddle. I have a question if you could help me out… I have a Simpson 4gpm unit, my issue is when I use the gun and jrod on soap nozzle it doesn’t work at all. When I use it through just a ball valve I see the surfactant coming out. Could there be something in the gun itself keeping it at high pressure so it won’t let soap go through? It worked at first and then all of the sudden nothing. Any help would be appreciated, thanks and God Bless!!
Old post and may not be same situation, but just in case...I drove myself crazy at home with a similar problem, finally (accidently) discovered that if I turned down the pressure coming from my house spigot it would pull chemicals from the tank just fine....spigot wide open, no chem or very intermittent.
Would it be a bad idea to use a metering valve for 2 tanks? One as a buffer tank and the other just straight SH and pour in the appropriate amount of surfactant?
that works
Hello,
Loved the video just have a question do you use soap at all? Also, if you use a 1% mix of sf would the rest be just water and you soap if you use any? Such as if you have 5gallen bucket and you add 1% of sf out of 10% would that 1% equal to less or quality to 1 gallen? And the rest would just be water?
Sorry for the lengthy question.
Thank You,
You cannot get a 1%mix without water. Sh usually comes in 10 or 12.5%. Unless you use bleach which is around 3% so you have to dilute to get the right percentages
if i use a xjet m5 and have a 10% solution in the bucket and a 4 gpm how does that affect the mix coming out? would it be 2.5% sh?
depends on the tip that you put in. the color chart will help you know what ratio
Thank u Sir
