Seriously. He didn't even need to rely so much on current events + politics so much for his stand up. 70-80% was his world of entertainment
I also loved that Dave (like Johnny) spoke with "average Americans" - Not just famous people... He loved the folks in his neighborhood in NYC, and he had small town features/people from across the country on the show often...
With all these new segments, I wonder if it would be possible to get Dave to sit down and commentate over some old show clips. My guess is that he doesn't like looking at old footage. But if he ever decided he wouldn't mind, some commentary on the segments with Andy Kaufman would be phenomenal. Recently there was an upload where he was discussing the skits with Rupert Jee. Stuff like that is really appreciated and the type of content that makes this channel special. Thanks to whoever is organizing this, it means a lot.

This channel is the best thing that’s ever happened to the CZcamss. What a fantastic way to curate Dave’s stunning legacy, pure joy. I hope we’ll get musical performances. I’d love to see a super cut of Dave talking to drummers about their tubs (yes, I’m a drummer). Speaking I’d drummers, I would love to see some behind the scenes footage of drummer’s week. The world still needs Dave, maybe more than ever. Eternal thanks to all who worked with the show, it must have been hell.

People used to rant during Dave’s last few years but now that he’s “gone”; people surely realized what they’ve been missing.
Dave you need to make a comeback, i havent watched any late night tv since you left...i cant deal with the Jimmies....plus so much stuff has been made that we dont know if it will float or not....that was an essential service you were undertaking for all mankind. 😂😂😂 I stayed the night in Gas City when we evacuated for Hurricane Katrina.
Coincidentally last night I watched Letterman and Barbara Gaines doing “How Is Your Weather” on CZcams, a running gag from 1990 and 1991, before going to bed. Tonight, I got into bed and opened CZcams to watch a couple videos before sleep, and along comes this video, with Dave and Barbara, 30 years later, as just old friends, all these years later. Bravo! I hope there are more of these, that was fun!
