#DancingVillageTheCurseBegins #BadarawuhiDiDesaPenari
In this horror-thriller, a shaman instructs Mila to return a mystical bracelet, the Kawaturih, to the “Dancing Village,” a remote site on the easternmost tip of Java Island. Joined by her cousin, Yuda, and his friends Jito and Arya, Mila arrives on the island only to discover that the village elder has passed away, and that the new guardian, Mbah Buyut, isn’t present. Various strange and eerie events occur while awaiting Mbah Buyut’s return, including Mila being visited by Badarawuhi, a mysterious, mythical being who rules the village. When she decides to return the Kawaturih without the help of Mgah Buyut, Mila threatens the village’s safety, and she must join a ritual to select the new “Dawuh,” a cursed soul forced to dance for the rest of her life. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
South East Asian cinema is a treasure trove of horror movies. Most of them based on the true stories. Just like this one.
Yess, it’s real for the culture, place, history, and the ghosts

In my opinion, the title would be better to be “Dancer’s Village (Desa Penari)” rather than “Dancing Village (Desa Menari)”. But then, hopefully this become a great movie really soon
Yes, I agree. Sangat disayangkan penggunaan grammarnya masih seperti belajar padahal ini film layar lebar.
Tapi menurutku malah jadi bagus loh... Jadi kesannya kaya datang ke desa itu jadi auto menari gituuu ngerti ga?
ITU KAN GERUND JADI PAKE -ING
Ya, dengan judul "The Dancers' Village" terkesan lebih mengerikan. Dancing village terdengar seperti ABBA😅
Atau pake the Village of Dancers mungkin ya
Watched it in Singapore last night and this is on par with Part 1. Amazing!Whist there’s less gore and jumpscare, the film works by using a very dark and creepy setting.
Is part 1 related to this?
@@hisheydoma1808yeah! This is the prequel

I didn't like the first movie but i saw this new one in an IMAX theater in Indonesia a few days ago and i can confirm that this is a superior movie than the first. Aulia Sarah once again was fantastic as Badaruwhi and Maudy Effrosina is scream queen in the making right there, fantastic performance from her. The climax alone is better than the previous movie's entirety 🙌
First movie kinda ass, its a word for word interpretation from the written tale
I read the story the first movie based on, I think it was enjoyable, the mystical elements is consistent with the lore that I learn from my religion. My biggest complaint of the first movie was the night time just too bright, no darkness at all 😅
whats the title of the first movie

Watching this movie last Monday. And i fell in love to it directly. Less gore and jumpscare but dark and creepy setting they used, and with great story telling made it even more stunning than any other movie that focus on jumpscare and the present of monsters and ghosts. IMAX version recommended ❤
It's been watched for 3 days, more than 1 million, so I want to watch it again.
"The Dancing Village" is a misnomer. The accurate translation is The Dancers' Village or the Village of the Dancers.
they forgot the KKN part, maybe intership for short? So it's "Internship at dancer's village" is a more accurate title.
'Dancing Village' is a catchier title tho'.
Also, I think gerund applies here.

You guys should watch this, I think it has a Shyamalan movie vibe, where I feel the hype on the horror-like scenes. Like the unbreakable trilogy, the scenes feels awesome and scary. Also IMAX with Laser really elevates the experience with its expaned ratio and sound, folk-like music meets horror score really works well
if you ever watched 'the village' shyamalan's movie from early 2000, this one has the vibe just much darker.

No way you’re going to start practicing your first waltz in a place such as this!
It's in reference of their VERY OWN TRADITIONAL DANCE, called Tari Gandrung.
To put in context of an American, it would be like a rural native reserve that specialized on traditional dances of a tribe.
Bcs here we usually placed on places that really need enhancement, you know like the electricity, proper builidings those kind of stuff. So the students are there to learn and help to develop the village depending on their major.
@@deborapakpahan1819 Some places are specialized under local customary management separated from official state provision, hence the lack of modern equipment.
Most of these places are sacred and brimmed with strict hierarchical rules and values. Traditions interwoven with faith and belief.
These are not some ballet or hip hop dance studios. They are not even a school. They are there from whobody knows, hundreds or thousand years old system.

this is a true story, where there is a place or village in the eastern part of the island of Java, where the local culture and traditions are still attached, there is a remote village where in that village there is a ruler of spirits named BADARAWUHI, in Indonesia we still believe in spirits there is, where I don't know what mistakes the villagers made that made Badarwuhi angry, he asked a village girl who was still a virgin to be sacrificed as his dawuh, or servant, this spirit creature called badarawuhi really likes traditional dancing, so the village girl The one who was sacrificed will dance all day without stopping until death can stop him,to entertain the people of Badarwuhi, you see like the zombies in the trailer, those are the people of the forest spirits,
and badarawuhi will be very satisfied,Do you know? Those very many girls, who dress up like badarwuhi, are the previous girls, who have been sacrificed to become badarwuhi's servants in the supernatural world there.
