I swear these guys have the most rings per cubic holy crap of any quartet I've ever heard.
The way Theo switches from blending perfectly full voicing the 3rd at 2:11 to placing it in a more lead style is absolutely flawless. The entire performance is damn near impeccable, these kids are already one of the best quartets of all time imo.
This is the first I've seen of them but I would bet you're right.

That resonance of that perfectly in-tune, pure sounding, major chord at 2'-12" is astounding!
Nothing makes my day like a surprise new Instant Classic song. This is so masterfully written. Theo's lead just gets better and better, Kohl's blend is absolutely fantastic, Kyle is an absolute unit of a bass, and there's no need to mention how amazing David Zimmerman is.
Kyle gained massive resonance in the past few years. Absolutely unit indeed.

Theo is incredible... One moment he seamlessly blends into the texture of the quartet sound, the next he pops out with the most beautiful vibrato and floats on top

Amazing performance of what sounds like a difficult arrangement. I love the way the lead lingers after everyone else cuts off at 2:18. Also, plenty of baritone fills which were executed just perfectly. Superb arrangement as well.

David, this is a fantastic arrangement! Love you guys, Instant Classic is my favorite quartet (my favorite modern quartet, which personally means Gas House Gang and after)!
They're great, aren't they? I personally think modern quartets are Acoustix and after. To each their own.
Every prize and plaudit they have won is well earned. This treatment of an already ready powerful song is achingly beautiful and fraught with emotional weight.

Why are there people sitting behind them? A quartet of this caliber should always have the entire stage to themselves.
This was a part of a larger show featuring many BHS International Champion quartets, presented in an Opry-style format in Nashville, TN. The men you see on stage are fellow performers and champion quartet members.
Does anybody know who arranged this piece?
