There are two other persons of colors treated exactly the same by the same female security person.
I'm not sure why Cannes let that happens over and over by the same person.
She looks like she is so tired of telling people how to treat her, and then being blamed for her reactions to mistreament.
It’s a setup (dark side). Once your weaknesses are revealed, it will be used against you to bring you down. You have to have a strategy of your own and recognize how to get want you want without sabotaging your career. Grown folks talk here.

There is too much black-on-black psychological warfare in the workplace.

Kelly Rowland handled herself with grace and assertion despite the ignorance of the usher and the other ones who also blocked her. Actually, that was a bizarre scene that should be addressed by the president of the Cannes Film Festival. Kelly is owed an apology from all who tried to stifle her. It's crazy! I took my white friend on holiday. I am a BA world traveller with Executive status. When we got to executive lounge the receptionist assumed my white friend was checking us in. She would only speak to the white friend asking her name and where she wanted to sit. My friend had to tell her she was there on MY ticket. Its amazing how they assume you can't be the one who is boss. I feel for Kelly. The French are particularly bad at this. Remember Oprah and the Hennes incident?

The security guard was so disrespectful in her mannerism of not just what she said by actually BLOCKING Kelly from being photographed by holding her arm out. That was a message from this security guard. I experience racism often in corporate America during conversations and I am interrupted. Celebrity status does not even matter these days. They only see the skin and react. It is very sad.
The body language shows their attitude and it's disgusting. Holding their arms up and crowding all around her like that. It was very aggressive. I'm pissed.

I've been living here in France for 14 years; 7 of which were in Paris. I've seen more white folks being stopped, put under arrest and / or beaten by police than any black folks and it's often during protests. You "never forgetting seeing a black man being held up against a wall by police at a McDo" and being traumatized is ridiculousness beyond measure.
