That 2003 movie is really underrated
Jason Isac was a fantastic Captain Hook 🪝 in the 2003 movie.
It's my favorite. ❤❤❤
Jason Isaac was good in Harry Potter as well
@@Missmagazinebura as well as in Avatar the last airbender. 😁
It was a really good movie. I liked it more than most of the others
The 2003 is the best live action Peter Pan. I also love Hook but the 2003 one is the best.
Totally 100% agree!!
Yes!!
When you add the deleted scene from the 2003 version Hook becomes it's inevitable sequel. The deleted scene shows Pan's return to the Darling house, but Wendy has grown up and he sees Jane sleeping in her bed. Hook and the 2003 version are my go to Peter Pan movies that should be watched back to back for the best experience.
@@azurastar3223 omg your right! I'll try that one day! 😲😃
One of the reasons is sticking closer to the source material.
Congratulations to Jeremy Sumpter, AKA Peter Pan 2003, on becoming a father recently. He was the Peter I grew up with, and I can't believe that it's been 20 years since it was released! 😮😁
20 years? I remember watching this movie along with its trailer with Clocks by Coldplay playing in the background all the time as a kid and the “I do believe in fairies” chant, I'm feeling old. The only actor I know of and was surprised to be popular again was Ludivine Saginer, the actress who played Tinker Bell. She’s currently in the Netflix series Lupin. I wish Jeremy Sumpter and Rachel Hurd-Wood, the actress who played Wendy had more work after the movie as both of them are very talented.
I want to see a 20-year reunion because every popular movie from the 90s and 2000s has done it. Peter Pan 2003 shouldn't be any different.
I never seen it
I love the 2003 Peter pan
@@kamsismith i remember the trailer playing on the cat in the hat dvd
Wendy also grew up, got married and had kids too 😊
What I love about Peter Pan 2003 is encapsulated by a quote from Jason Isaac "After a screen test, children were left laughing, and their parents were left crying." This film shows the bittersweet balance of growing up, as described in the book and play.🙌
I believe it.
Peter Pan 2003 will always be my favourite. Mostly for nostalgia reasons, but I also like how true it stayed to the original book. It was such an accurate adaptation, except for the more romanticised moments which actually made the film itself more enjoyable than the book in my opinion. Not to mention how good Jeremy Sumpter was as Peter, and the soundtrack is severely underrated but SO beautiful.
Tiger Lilly kissing John so he could open the gate was awesome
Fuckyea
And dont dmfoget the parts left out on how peter is actually evil. I dont like the book. I prefer this adaptaion of Peter who really is just a kid and not some evil devil child😂
The 2003 version of this story is what really made me fall in love with storytelling and film so it will always be special to me
Queen Clarion and King Milori
Same
The 2003 Peter Pan was the best depiction of Pan ever put to the big screen. The cinematography was insanely good and Jason Isaacs played the greatest version of Hook of all time IMO. Jeremy Sumpter did a great job as well for such a young actor.
The way Jeremy Sumpter STILL has my heart in a chokehold. It’s been like 20 years! The best there ever was? Yes.
Frrr
“I am the best there ever was!” Peter Pan
“YOU are a tragedy.” Captain Hook
The 2003 version with Jeremy Sumpter as Pan and Jason Isaacs as a terrific Hook takes the prize. Everything about it is first rate and the scene with the fairies accompanied by a beautiful soundtrack is superb.
Both the 2003 version and hook. They both are amazing. And Robin Williams playing hook is just 😢 the best!
Only, in Hook, Robin Williams played Peter Pan himself, NOT Hook. He never played the Neverland pirate captain. Instead, Captain Hook was played by Dustin Hoffman, and Dustin Hoffman alone. So, methinks you need to go ahead and watch that film again, friend. 🤷😆🤣🙃🙂
@@moookiecrisp ...and Dustin Hoffman did a brilliant job!
What?! Robin Williams was Peter Pan...
2003's Peter Pan with Jeremy Sumpter as Peter is perfect.
So happy to see so many people cherish the 2003 version as much as I do. I was always afraid seeing its online ratings that people just hadn't felt as connect to it as I had as a child. Glad I was wrong.
The chemistry between Rachel and Jeremy was so cute.
The 2003 version for me is the best
The 2003 version will always be my personal favorite.
Jason is such a good actor !! It’s incredible that he got to play two separate roles in the 2003 movie ?!
It was quite common when the story started as a stage play for the person playing Mr Darling to also play Hook apparently which I think is super interesting
traditionally both roles are played by the same person :)
Wow I totally didn't realize the same actor played the dad and hook
Yes
Jeremy Sumpter being in the thumbnail made me so happy.
I grew up with Hook and the 2003 version, the latter is my favorite of all. Excellently cast Peter and Wendy, great writing that stayed faithful to the original tale, tackling the themes of leaving childhood behind and growing up along with James Newton Howard's amazing score. It will always be the superior Peter Pan movie for me. Jeremy Sumpter and Rachel Hurd Wood set the bar real high ❤❤
I grew up with Hook, and love it, but 2003’s is the very best! Stellar portrayals of Pan, Wendy, and Hook! And the Lost Boys were so charming 💛
Peter Pan (2003) is the best version. It is the closest to the book and even mimics the the dialogue in various portions of the movie. There is also a Soviet Union version. It's actually pretty good.
The 2003 version is my favorite. ❤❤❤
I love 1953’s Peter Pan, 1991’s Hook, and 2003’s Peter Pan
yep same only ones I accept the fact 2003's Peter Pan was not even done by Disney
@@angiecakes04 neither was hook
@@corymiller536 I know it wasn't
Return to neverland was good too
@@boycie2.099 I liked it too despite what people think.
The 2003 Peter Pan with Jeremy Sumpter and Jason Isaacs is the best, there's so many good element to it. It's more loyal to the book source, the casting is amazing (I remember I had a crush on Jeremy Sumpter because of it), and visually breathtaking especially for an early 2000's standard. And since this 2023's Peter Pan and Wendy buzz went crazy, I rewatched the 2003 movie instead, and never intended to watch the newest disney+ version.
I like the 2003 film..when wendy said 'Love', peter felt it too but dodging it because when you fall, its part of growing up and he knows.
The 2003 Peter Pan and Hook I think is the perfect duo.
The Jason Issac's portrayal of both Mr Darling and Captain Hook is taken from the original play, and something that continued in a lot of films, including the cartoon Disney version, where they share a voice actor.
I’ve always liked Hook, despite many including Steven Spielberg hate it. It has problems, but it’s nowhere as bad as everyone has it out to be
Why? I think it's almost perfect.
@@comkver I think Spielberg had wanted it to be a musical but he had to change it. Personally, I love it! It's one of my favorite films that he did!
The CZcams channel Yesterworld Entertainment has a video on the History of Hook. I recommend it.
I wasn't aware people didn't like it. I've always thought it was far and away the best.
I loved it too. Sometimes the director is wrong about his film. I guess this is one of those times.
The 2003 version of Peter Pan is my favorite Peter Pan movie 🥰
Fun fact:
The 2003 film was a co-production between Universal Pictures, Columbia Pictures, and Revolution Studios.
Universal distributes the film in United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, France, and South Africa, while Columbia distributes it everywhere else.
I grew up with the 2003 version and it's definitely my favorite 🫶🏻
I love Peter Pan. I don’t care about my age, I love the nostalgia feeling
That’s the point of Peter Pan. Wishing you were a little kid again and never wanting to grow up.
My favourite is the version of 2003. I also have Hook in high regard, but I have a weak spot for the former.
In 1953, Hans Conreid voiced Captain Hook and Mr. Darling in the animated film until 2003, Jason Isaacs did the same thing with acting
my favorite version is the 2003 live action version
The 2003 movie will always be my favorite Peter Pan adaptation ❤
2003 with Jeramy will always be my favourite
The 2003 version is how I fell in love with the song clocks by Coldplay.😅
My favorite will always be the 2003 one ❤
Jason Isaacs is a brilliant hook
The 2003 one was a stellar book to movie adaptation. It takes the cake for me.
Peter pan and wendy makes peter pan(2003) look like an oscar winning live action film
Fuckyea 😂
the 2003 version It's already a great Peter pan movie if not the greatest
I hate how people think they made the cartoon Tiger Lily weak. She literally would rather die than give the location of Peter Pan and the lost boys. I always thought she was very strong especially for being so young. She also barely showed fear when almost drowning.
I will go for the 2003 Peter pan
Looking back, I forgot I was 4 years old when I saw 2003’s Peter Pan. I love that movie
2003 version will always be my favorite. When I was little I got a crush on the 2003 peter pan too 😅. I think all the characters were portrayed beautifully. I loved Tink. She was the typical fun, loving, loyal, brave, and sassy character we all love. Tiger Lily was awesome too. The new Disney live action was pretty bad. Tink was a flat character. Wendy was pretty feminist. "This magic belongs to NO BOY! 🙄 Not to mention that even though Wendy is a dreamer and adventurous she was also maternal and they made Wendy hate the idea of being a mother. The only thing I really liked was Hooks backstory because it was close to the book. Hook was the first lost boy and Peter's best friend. Only in the book it was really dark.
Just had a friends movie night dedicated to the 2003 version. I’ve loved it since I was a kid and it won’t ever stop being special to me.
Peter Pan 2003 will always and forever be the best one for me
I don't care what anyone says, Hook will always be one of my all time favorites of the Peter Pan films! Robin Williams portrayal of the character is absolutely legendary!
I always liked Hook too

😠 I hate👿 Captain James Hook♂️👨(☠😈)💛❤. He's one of the Walt Disney villains
And it was directed by Spielberg!🎬

I know Peter Pan♂️👦(🎺)💚 one of the good😇 forces☠,
And Captain James Hook♂️👨(😈)💛❤ is one of evil😈 forces☠
Agree. Critics were harsh to it. It’s my favorite alongside the Disney film, 2003 film, and Return to Neverland even though people didn’t like it.
The 2003 version was just wonderful and still is to this day.
The 2003 live action film from Universal Pictures is my favorite, Jeremy Sumpter killed the role. Congrats on becoming a father dude!!!
The 2003 version is the best and closest to the book. The deleted scenes make it even better.
Yeah, the 2003 Peter Pan film even includes a deleted scene of Mr Darling punishing himself for mistreating Nana by sleeping in her kennel, which was in the play.
I love hook. It was my childhood movie and the food fight scene was memorable. The 2003 version is also one of favorite. I love the lead male actor for Peter Pan. He fits the part well. The story line was beautiful.
It took 20 years for the 2003 film to finally get the recognition it deserves.
I do believe in fairies, I do, I do.
Hook will always hold a top 5 favorite movie spot in my heart ❤
2003 peter pan will always be my favorit live action version of the movie
I used to watch the Disney animated film all the time when I was younger
It’s sad what happened to the voice actor who portrayed Peter Pan in the animated original.
@@zacharyyamashita8554 what happen
Yea same its still my fav today I had a little crush on Peter Pan haha
I absolutely love the original animated movie, (ironicly, apart from Peter himself,) but I have a soft spot for both _Hook._ the "A man so quick, he's even fast asleep!" line is one of my favorites in all of cinema.
I only seen the animated version and the once upon a time Peter Pan
@@Missmagazinebura You should check out Hook sometime. It's a classic.
I love Bob Hoskins' delivery, even his line, "Now let's all give him a big hand, cause he only has one."
The movies i grew up with about Peter Pan were the 1953 film, its 2002 sequel and the 2003 non-Disney film. Therefore, thanks Ms Mojo and a happy wednesday to you as well, take care and i hope i see you soon for more, God bless you and greetings from Colombia.
Jason Isaacs is the best Captain Hook.
as much as i love jason issacs its hard to beat dustin hoffman
Hook!!! ❤
Hands down by far the best Peter Pan Live action Movie made is:
P.J.Hogan's 2003 PETER PAN
Disclosure to parents, it contains death, subtle blood, and mild violence
Jason Isaacs as Captain Hook was astonishing.
There are two Peter Pan stage plays; but actually movies which are being ignored. Mary Martin as Pan is such a classic, it just can't be beaten. Say no more. It can not be beaten. Plus Julie Andrew's is overwhelming. Jeremy is a great, great Pan. But, for its time Mary Martin hands down.
The 2003 version will ALWAYS be the best💗 Perfect casting, gorgeous soundtrack and visual effects. A true masterpiece 👌
I love Hook. But I need to also watch 2003 Peter Pan that everyone talks about
The 2003 one is definitely worth a watch!
@@signergirl1 thank you
I loved the story of Peter Pan as a kid!
I would watch the 1953 movie on repeat. Hook was also a favorite of mine.✨
Agree. I also love the 2003 film.
The 2003 version has held up all this time for a reason. It has yet to be topped and the latest live action from Disney is no competition. I grew up with that version and love it! I never liked the story of Peter Pan until that movie came out. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
In terms of Peter Pan in live action, Hook is always the best. Eventhough Steven Spielberg disliked the movie and said that he's willing to watch it again if he has the time, i still like the movie. John Williams' score imo is one of his best
Forgot how good 2003 Peter pan is
I Think my favourite Peter Pan is The Live action one in 2003 I Love The Part Where Wendy and Peter are Dancing in The Sky With all The Fairies That's Very Magical
2003 one was best had a huge crush on Jeremy sumpter
I totally forgot that bit with Smee in "Hook" when Peter pulls out his wallet and Smee immediately throws it overboard: "Oh, flog off!" 🤣🤣
Also, Dustin Hoffman's portrayal of Hook was arguably the best version because Hook was deathly afraid of clocks, on top of being a gentleman pirate as characterized in the book.
Peter Pan 2003 is the definitive version. 10000x better than 2023's.
OG cartoon is the best.jeremy Sumpter made a fantastic Peter Pan and that soundtrack was fantastic
I first fell in love with the story of Peter Pan as a toddler when my mom introduced me to the 1953 version. I loved it so much that for my fourth birthday, I had a Neverland themed party where my mother handmade a Wendy nightgown complete with blue bow and slippers and a homemade Neverland map cake. In elementary school, at my first sleepover, we watched Hook for the first time and though I remember being scared at a few moments....it still holds a very special place in my heart and is the reason I became a fan of Robin Williams. In middle school, I discovered the 2003 version(about four years after it premiered) and completely crushed on Jeremy Sumpter as Peter Pan and related to Wendy. Now, I am a preschool teacher who has become a Wendy, telling all the kids stories, fairytales, and legends all while attempting to conserve their innocence in such a different world then it was when I was their age. Someday, I pray that I will have a son and get to name him Peter. My motto is: You have no choice in growing up...but you do in growing old.
My favorite one is 2003. Hoping that the new live one that's coming up is good. A few things that I hear about the new one sound disappointing though. I'm hesitant about it based on what I hear. I am not going by the trailer completely because trailers don't really show things accurately. They bait you and deceive you and there's a good possibility that disappointment is in your future.
It's alright. Watchable but not a movie I would repeat. Hook is the best character in that movie. Movie is more about Wendy. Pretty feminist movie. Wendy seems to be better at everything. 🙄
This may not count but I do like Finding Neverland. The movie that created Peter Pan and even become a musical
I also liked Return to Neverland even though many people didn’t like it.
@@sirorliktheironclad Even though the animated sequel wasn’t mentioned, I love the movie. It’s one of my top favorite childhood movies
@@olvialee7221 Agree. I actually liked it a little more than the first film.
Peter Pan 2003 will always be it for me ☺️💖🌸
2003 is fantastic and one of my personal favorites. I’m also a fan of the stage musical too.
And I thought I was the only one who remembered the 2003 version! I may be SLIGHTLY biased, but that one will forever be my favorite Peter Pan adaptation :)
you´re not the only one who remembered, Jeremy Sumpter is called of Peter Pan till today hahaha
_Peter Pan_ (2003) may not have been a hit in theaters, but it was pretty popular on DVD. Many people grew up with that movie.

2003 version all the way, It's very timeless, it has aged really well.
Ouat ones must be mentioned also lost girls and new adventures of Peter Pan animated series
Jeremy Sumpter was my crush back then. Had pics all over my binder
Loved Peter Pan, I love the one with Robin Williams and the Disney cartoon. When I was a child I got to stay up late to see the Mary Martin version, loved that one too👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🎥
Jeremy Sumpter as Peter Pan in the 2003 Movie and the Movie himself is the best for me.And I'm celebrating my 50th birthday in one week.
Somewhere deep inside I am still a child.😅
well Peter Pan is my favorite story if you can't tell from my profile picture. I love Disney's Peter Pan and 2003 version! Tho Hook is also a fantastic movie.
I love Peter Pan, and admittedly had a crush on the Disney show's version of him. Which was probably the best version, the version that could decide to one day leave with Wendy and grow up into Robin Williams' version.
But there was another Peter Pan that set my standards when it came to the boy who could fly, that was Mary Martin. When I was a kid she was still the standard for the role.
I really did enjoy seeing the old silent film actresses who played the part like Betty Bronson getting included in your video. They deserve the recognition every bit as much.
Requirements for Peter Pan:
Peter Pan
Tinker Bell
Captain Hook
Wendy Darling
Jack
Michael
Smee.
Woah with last year tris year and the digimon ghost game, perder pan has gained a lot of projects
Most people don't really know how dark Peter Pan really is because of Disney. When Peter Pan banishes the Lost boys in the actual book of Peter Pan that he's actually killing The Lost boys that he banishes.
Disney always sanitizes dark fairy tales, the most book-accurate Peter Pan was in the Once Upon a Time series.
I don’t have a favorite Peter Pan from all the Peter Pan movies.
Read the book, 2003 version is the only one that comes close to J. M. Barrie’s Pan.
"Oh that cleverness of me!"
"To die would be an awfully big adventure"
My time to join the echo that is Peter Pan 2003 is the best there ever was!
Don't hate me, but I kind of like Pan 2015
The Disney ones and the 2003 one. I like it because of how scary they made captain hook.
to answer the question about the lost boys, they did leave neverland with the darling siblings and peter went to live with the fairies. it took time, but soon they all forgot about peter pan and neverland. the only one who could remember was wendy.
I can’t believe how many Peter Pan movies there are.
