- Today's journey on the Camino de Santiago takes us past the Cruz de Ferro. One of the highlights of many pilgrims' camino. We take some time to observe the rite of passage which is to drop a stone at the foot of the cross. Many pilgrims leave a stone with well wishes to loved ones, some leave behind a piece of their lives that they wish to move on from, and others just take a moment to respect the sanctity of the process.
After Cruz de Ferro we pass the highest point of the Camino Frances, 1,515m, before descending through quaint little mountain villages towards Ponferrada. A late arrival in Ponferrada sees us checking into a massive donativo albergue, which in hindsight, was a terrible idea. You will hear more about this in videos to come!
Very sensitively covered, you really touched the heart and soul of that very special place. Great to see how you all tapped into the energy and gave of yourselves in different ways, so beautiful to see. Thank you.
Thanks Mark, it's so nice to see this series be so well received 🙌

Nice one MP Travel! I couldn't recommend it enough, if you get the opportunity definitely take it 👌
Great vibe in this video!
Thanks Leila xx
This place is trully spiritual ❤
Nice video. It looks like you did a good job of capturing the spirit and feeling of Cruz de Ferro. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Randall, have you been there and felt the energy??
No, not 'til next spring (2020). But the energy comes thru your video. The best vlog I've seen about CdF.
Bless you @@randyclark1221 🙌 that's the nicest comment I've read so far 😍
CJ, I've watched a lot of vlogs about the Camino in prep for my walk next year. What you are really good at is capturing a sense of reverence, peace and ease of spirit. There are other vlogs with guide book styles (locations, prices) and others with whining and moaning, but few with an overarching sense of adventure like yours. Well done.
I can’t imagine how heavy that place must feel. I’ll find out sometime in October.
You will have a very special time I'm sure 👌 buen camino x
