Rabanal is one of my favourite stops on the camino too. My sister and I walked in 2018 and stayed at the Refugio Gaucelmo and loved it. I watched all of your videos Efren before our camino :-)
I thought the first day was the best day...SJPP to Roncevalles was magical (we had very good weather so the hike in Pyrenees was a delight. But Astorga to Foncebadon (I actually continued on to el Acebo that day...37km) was my 2nd favorite day. The terrain was so fantastic and I found Foncebadon to be a perfect village in a perfect spot. Great memories Efren
I was in Foncebadon on Hallowe'en 2018. There was only one place open and it was covered in snow. It looked amazing and the community meal was a highlight. We had a good group and talked for hours in front of the roaring fire. I had breakfast there next day too, left late after a yet another long conversation with people. I liked that walk up the hill, I didn't remember it ever being an issue.
Efren, I'm walking from Astorga to Sarria in May. My second time doing this route. Once again I'll be consulting your excellent videos as I go. I'll be donating a 'Thanks' closer to my departure. I'd like to wish you success and much enjoyment in your adventures this year.
As an Australian I should be more use to snakes. I hear them a lot but don't see them. Once I was walking through my school and my friend yelled "Snake!" I thought he was joking and almost tripped over a snake. I think I've only encounterd about 10.
Rabanal is one of my favourite stops on the camino. Such a cute little town.
Shierly Ngo One of my favourites too! Great restaurant nearby!

so cool. Foncebadon was very much special. in the end the company is what makes or breaks the experience.

Stayed in Rabanal. Great place and we were treated to a concert which included anything from classical to blue grass
That’s exact same dog I saw in 2016😁 he followed me for a bid
👍
At this stage you must be careful. You are near Mount Teleno, where Taranis lives, the god of storms for us Galicians
Sorry to say, but people taking taxi or having their luggage and backpacks shipped to next albergue are called turigrinos, not peregrinos 😄😄
