More vids with Tone, such a rad presenter!
yes-I agree!
He's really fun to watch, and he's got a great voice!
You all probably dont care but does any of you know a tool to log back into an instagram account..?
I somehow forgot my account password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me.
One of the best Eurorack demos I've seen, it's great how he not only explains everything so clearly but also starts each patch without any effects so you can clearly hear the difference. Also, there's no mystery about the patching, it's all laid out. Awesome.
Except the end with the 0-coast. Absolutely zero explanation
@@andrewnancarrow yes-sure wish that was explained! sounded great
Maybe a follow-up vid could be posted?? I think Tone gives VERY good explanations...of how these things effect tone!
Agreed, one of the best demonstrations I’ve seen. Keeping things simple
Had me sold after the first 3 notes lol. Very f'n cool. I just ordered a Grandmother and am a complete noob.
This video was amazingly useful to me! I'm still new to synths and really had little concept of how semi modular or modular synths and I'd try asking questions to the very small group of fellow synth players I know but this gave me such a better idea of where to start, how it all works, and better idea of what I should be looking for when I'm looking to purchase future synths.
The first time modular has made sense to me.
terrific intro for patching modules into my semi-modular: thank you!
man... you did such a fantastic job with this!! getting into some deep stuff, but by way of the shallow end... you know... for the newbs like me. it's so hard to find demos & tutorials that don't leave me scratching my head to one extent or another. this is CRYSTAL CLEAR & INCREDIBLY HELPFUL(!). so, thank you-thank you-thank you, good sir!!
I'm still a beginner in the world of modular, but this video made a lot sense to me. This is actually near future for me, for I plan to expand my Grandmother and 0-Coast the way it's done here. Thanks Tone Jay and Reverb!
Tone this is amazing man! I mean it's obvious you're putting your heart in it. Very inspiring!
Beautiful sounds
Sounds wonderful
Bro, I need you to sound design my life. You killed it🔥🔥 Learned a lot. Thanks!
This is such a fantastic demo,!
Great presentation!
Well explained.
As someone just getting into both hardware synths and Eurorack, I'd love to see more videos with crossover between the 2 areas.
Eurorack ARE hardware.
Me too! MORE of this sort of video would be great!
This was super inspiring Tone!
This a very helpful video. Thank you!
i like tone this is good
This is so helpful, thanks a lot for this.

love this dude!
great video. maths really impacts the sound. sounds great
Very helpful to a noob! thanks for this video.
Thanks for this! I’ve seen these module setups at my local music / recording gear store, and I’ve been afraid to ask what they do.
Great Video, thank you so much !!!
You sold me on plaits I was def looking at it
Ring me up bro. One huge euro rack and a plaits
Tone you rock !
Fantastic
I'd like to see something like this done with the Erebus V3 or Nyx V2. Dreadbox with modular just has to be epic.
Really great teacher.
*insert spider man pointing meme*
👀
😳
😂😭😂
You are the best !!!
Thanks Tone! I'm new to this. Are you running audio out of the grandmother, or one of the Eurorack modules? Or both?
This is THE retro electro machine
I even watched it twice :)
I have an Arturia Minibrute 2, which is also semi-modular - can i assume that most of these techniques will work with my hardware too? Sorry, new to semi-modular stuff (and hardware synthesis in general, honestly - have always been too poor in the past to use anything besides a midi controller and pirated softsynths lol) - I've gotta say, I prefer the layout of the Grandmother , how it's patch points are actually near the knobs and such they relate to - where as on my minibrute, the patch points are all off to the side, which feels a lot less intuitive. Other than that I like it though (ive heard some people complain that the sounds are a bit "harsh" - but i mostly make electro-industrial and breakcore, so that kinda works for my purposes)
Thanks.
Another black science man, my man Tony Toni tone nice work!
one of those synths or modules costs as much as my monthly rent lmao
Get a job.
Spazzoid Studio I think he has a job if he pays rent....
All the hipsters love these things but I'm not getting the pitch. Pays $$$$ to build your own synth??? Sure I might dig out a cool patch but I feel I could achieve something similar by going into my DAW and using plugins.
@@marshard9563 You do that
Someone told me that Mutable Instruments modules track from -2 to +7 CV, but the Moog is -5 to +5. Does that matter when connecting, or is there a way around it?
I can but usually moog and MI will play well together
ive always thought that the make noise mult is too big. you could fit 2 2hp mults in that space, or a mult and a 2hp utility like the compressor module. or you could have used a 2hp mult and a 4hp vca like the one from instruo. 4hp for a mult feels like a waste.
ay tone
What case is being used in the video for the eurorack modules?
it looks like it might be a pittsburgh modular case? its hard to tell
What is that case?
9:45 is very reminiscent of a video game soundtrack, but I can't place it if it is!
Maybe from the Spy Hunter Arcade?
show me more Moog Matriarch together with Make Noise Modular like the Morphogene or something
Get a life bottom boy
👍
😮😮😮😮
Is this guy a sailor?
I am so new to synths that I didnt realize you could add shit to them. And I love buying guitar pedals so its like...basically the same right?
Thanks for the ideas. The only bummer is the mist interesting sounding pairing was with the 0-coast at the end and you totally avoided any explanation of what went into the patch, and the way it’s shot and edited it’s impossible to decipher all the patching between the two instruments. Very disappointing because that was literally the best combo of the entire video, yet zero explanation.
Tone. JimmyTheVoice Here. Need some help
Omg MG the present???? 😂🌶🌶🌶
Mike Pierre Andral Colon ??????
I really, REALLY regret the choice not to feature other MOOG rack pieces like the DFAM, Mother 32, or Minitaur in this, rather than this vanity collection of esoteric stuff that isn't relevant to what most Moog users really want. In my personal opinion (WHICH... remember... I AM allowed to have here), he just ruined the sound of the Moog with those other pieces.
