Mazda 3 2004 to 2009 fan assembly, radiator ac fan removal. Just remove top plug, then from under the car pop two clips in and pull out.same way to put back in.
So i used ramps for my 2012 mazdaspeed, same procedure theres 2 covers under the front remove both unplug all 3 plugs be patient and 1 thing that will make evry easier remove the clip or plug on the temp sensor it will help with cleareance to remove and to put back fan be careful with the radiator fins .
Doing my mazdaspeed 2012 hard to remove the big clip fron the module is the same procedure as the older 3s ok let me keep on tryin g without breaking it
I have a Mazda 3, 2011, neo. For the past month or so I have noticed (several times) that the aircon fan does not start up upon turning it on. I will leave it on and drive around for a while and suddenly it will come alive. It's summers here. I took it to my mechanic, he did full service of the car; checked the air con, and it was full with gas and is perfectly healthy. He could not decipher the cause of fan malfunctioning. The fan was working fine when I took the car to him, and all the while he serviced the car. What can be the potential cause in your opinion? Thanks in advance.
I have the exact same situation with a 2012 Mazda 3. I also notice that even when the fan does run it slowly ramps up its speed. My theory is the fan motor is weak or dead spot(s). 203k miles on the car. Did you ever figure out the root cause of your issue? I had tried replacing the fan control module but that didn't solve the problem, same symptom of sometimes fan not running when AC was on, which leads to too much high side temp/pressure in the condenser. That's why when you drive around it works or spraying water on the condenser brings temp/pressure down.
Joe Blanco The top only has a connector on the driver side that you have to open. But no clip on top. Just unclip the bottom clip on each side and push the fan towards up it will slide away from the holders on each side.
Short, sweet, and to the point. Great video!
Thank you for keeping it short!!!
Great video. Thanks. Basic and to the point information. I had my fan/module changed in 20mins because of this video.
Thank you

Bro You make it sound hard. It's not! Don't scare people from doing there own repairs. This repair can be done by a 10 year old with no skills.
Can't remove the connector and don't want to break it. I've successfully pulled the bottom clips out just need the connector

Where is the switch for the fan located?
Its possible to put out the fan by the top??
Nope, unless you remove your intake manifold.
Does the car have to be on a hoist? Or can you angle it in resting on the ground?
DVK
Its gonna be much harder on the ground.at least i would recommend ramps
ok thanks!

Jimmy Charlis
Hi the generation changed so my guess would be most probably not the same
No idea whats happening at 0:43. Totally stuck.
Would have been great to actually show what you did there...
no one tells you about the clips holding the wires at the top of the fan 😂
The connector is a pain in the ass to remove
you broke the clip
Where is the switch for the fan located?
Do you mean the plug ? If yes its on top left driver side.
There is also another plug to take of from the middle as you see towards the end of video
