  • I can't believe it's been more than a decade since Splinter Cell has had a named game, and it's been even longer since a sequel has even come close to having the mechanics and elements that the first 3 games did so well.
Join us in the story of Sam Fischer, and why Splinter Cell is a forgotten classic.
Did you play the original Splinter Cell? Which system did you play it on? What was your favorite level? What was the best line in the game?

Of course Name Of The Game got copyrighted at 4:50-5:00.. very sad.
This is the first video with my new mic and I’ve heard from a lot of you the mixing is wrong. I’m going to keep this up as a lesson to myself. The issue has been resolved for other videos and I apologize for any inconvenience. Seems that CC is working, but that's just a band aid.
Anyways, thank you so much for stopping by. I love this series so much, and I can't believe it's been so long since the first one came out. Please join us on Sam's first adventure.
What console did you play this on? What was your favorite level/ voice line? Hope all is well.

Hiding in shadows, planning, the atmosphere, the realness. A lot of things captivated me about Splinter Cell.
The game came off as if it didn't care what you thought of it. It was its own thing for unique individuals and that's one big thing I loved about it. It was more grounded in reality instead of flashy Hollywood stuff.

I was around 15 years old. My friend had an Xbox, this game and coffee. 3 of us played the whole night, went to a 24/7 gas station to get more coffee and played more. Every time one died the controller was passed to the next one. We celebrated everything because everything was new. The tech, the animations, the mood.
    Awesome gaming youth

Gaming youth was the best back then, and I hear you 100% about the tech/animations/ambience, it was a different industry back then.

The first level was very eerie to play when I was eight years old, especially the house with the TV turned on. I couldn't figure out how to get past the fire section for whatever reason but one day I revisited the game on Steam and loved it. It's still my favorite Splinter Cell game.

      Dear Tranta,
It's so crazy what we played as kids, and kind of shows how kids only pick up on things that they want to, like I had no idea what nuclear warheads or espionage was at that age ahah. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, I truly appreciate that more than you know. Thank you for sharing this memory! I can wait to play Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory, but this Splinter Cell will always hold that special spot at #1. I hope you're doing well.

I remember playing it on my original Xbox, the young me sucked at it but the game was so good and different from other games that i kept going. A great experience that made me a big fan of the franchise and Sam becoming one of my favorite video game character.

Great video, you deserve all the subs you're gonna get, and your video quality ! Little tip, careful on the mixing of your music background and voice. I found the music to be a bit too loud, don't let it overshadow your commentary. If the music isn't the loudest, it's better than not hearing your voice !

I think ive all of them but the second one , even the different versions for double agent.
The fact that Ubisoft didnt created well done / big ass universe if you will with all of the Tom Clancy games (Endwar , Hawk, Rainbow Six ,Ghost Recon ,etc ) as well as maybe new ones all ending on trying to avoid or fighting a big war ,is one of the biggest missed opportunities in gaming .Just imagine the spy part of the plot with splinter cell, the infiltration / black ops part with ghost recon ,the big war scenario with hawk or endwar, a crossover mission with rainbow and the ghosts insulting or just joking around with each other ,the last measure being The Division and when they need air support , its the hawks squadron , and in the rts one , you could control all of them. Maybe some orginal games with the Tom Clncy game could fit as well , why not?. All connected by the same antagonists, protagonist, plot but each game shows it in a different way , fitting to its type of game. And in the end all of the guys from the pasts games come together in one way or another ,the end of the saga maybe has different endings, with even the "good guys" having different reasons/ ideas on how it should end
A man can dream , lol sorry for long rant (also THREADS MENTIONED!!!!!)

      Dear Exe,
Firstly, thank you again for commenting on the videos, you don't know how much it means to me, and seeing that notification always brings a smile to my face, something which I hope to give back to you.
I completely agree with your dream, and to be honest, I would hope a lot of other's dreams as well. Ubisoft still has the possibility of doing this universe, or having these tie ins. I think it was one of the Ghost Recon games where they added a DLC to track the Predator down? That is really cool and out of the box; A universe connect would be that level of cool and beyond. Sadly seeing their stock price, and knowing the history of ubisoft, I doubt we will get a resurgence in dedicated teams/money, but we can always dream. Dreams never die, hope runs dry ahah. I'm just hoping that we get some titles coming up that go back to these style of games, more directed and "linear" grand story pieces that aren't over the top (i.e. splinter cell felt very grounded even though it deals with pretty wild geopolitical situations).
Anyways, Exe, thanks again. I hope you're doing well! Any games that you've been playing recently?

In reality, Georgia gets invaded and occupied by russia who then invades Ukraine, and NATO and the US do nothing as far as boots on the ground. Though admittedly NATO and the US would have an easier time with a Georgian force than russian, so may be more likely to get an 'easy win'.
Thanks for the vid DogDad. I played ghost recon not long before going to Georgia for the first time. I hardly got shot at at all, and have been back many times. On your recommendation just downloaded splinter cell, cheers.
On a side note, there is a game you have yet to mention in the Portal/HL series that almost always gets overlooked. If you haven't played 'Bridge Constructor: Portal' I would highly recommend it. Though not story or lore heavy, it was nice to be insulted by Glados again :)

      Dear Evilbron,
I hope you're doing well, thank you so much for taking the time to write all this, I truly appreciate it. I hear you on the NATO thing; I did some thinking about it and thought it could be a political commentary on the aggressiveness of NATO I guess going into the Balkans in the 90s? They wouldn't have known about Libya either, but crazier things have happened ahah.
I hope you have an awesome time! Play the game like a nice glass of wine, take your time with the levels, I truly mean they are puzzles for you to unravel.
Oh my goodness fantastic! I have not heard about that and immediately laughed at your last phrase because I thought it would be nice to hear her voice again too.
