Finally a gymnast who can dance and who's interesting to watch, so you don't just fast forward between tumbling runs. Looking forward to watching her gymnastics career. I suspect European judges will love her.
This routine is a PERFECT example of how a routine can be artistic without being all about ballet! No more of this boring arm waving, pose pose pose choreo and more routines like this please America!!! Loved it :)
I don't see how anyone could not love her routine, or even appreciate how into her dance she is and how great a performer. Personally, this routine is just magnetic and so well done. Great movements, style, sass. I LOVE it and I'm so happy we'll have 2 more routines from her before she's even a senior.
Laurie is fierce! Her form on her double arabian is fantastic, and her stuck piked full-in is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. This kids is going places.
I think Lauren's floor was really fabulous. It was kind of NCAAesque, but I liked that. For me, she and Kennedy Baker have two of the best floor exercises in terms of choreography and performance in the world right now. I hope she can get her bars and beam to the level of her floor.
hey coach is like queen of the NCAA, well she was during her time in college, so that's probably why, though i love it, it better than what we were doing before, its exciting!
I don’t understand how gabby Douglas is nicknamed flying squirrel for bars but laurie doesn’t have a nickname for how sassy of a dancer she is (obviously in a good way)
Oh I do love a creative floor routine! But that doesn't mean you can skip dance practice and rely on your dramatic arm waves/ booty shakin/twerks. More ppl need to watch and learn from Afanaseyvas 2012 floor choreo. Pretty but fierce and the same time.
you have to really sell and act out your routine in the new code if you want to get the top scores, they did this to get rid of stiff emotionless gymnasts it makes the floor exercise more entertaining

You know she is good when I hate the music and yet I am astonished when she is finished. She makes you love the performance. It's awesome!

Absolutely. It's refreshing to watch. NCAA gymnasts show more personality and actually dance and perform more than most elites.

While I really like this routine, I think I like her last year one better.
Probably because she shows more personality than we usually see an elite routine, and it's bouncy without being too juvenile.
