Takes a lot of work and time to do youtube well. You provide quality content Doug , keep at it. I can remember being told stories about the lumber camps from my uncles. Everyone it seems left the farms for work in the camps over the winters in them years where work was scarce. The lumber Barron's got free labour from some and paid little to the rest . I missed this one somehow. Congratulations on the 5,000 subs and the 1 million view benchmarks! Glad to hear you're feeling better. The history stuff really interests me and the German POW camp is a story I'd like to watch. On that note, I read last week that the last Canadian survivor of the Hong Kong takeover by the Japanese in WW2, had died in Nova Scotia at 106. I knew another man (in Quebec) who had been in the Japanese POW camps for four years (Christmas day 1941 until the end of the war in 1945) after the fall of Hong Kong to the Japanese. The conditions these men suffered was brutal: little food, extreme hard work and regular, unprovoked beatings. It was not until 1998 that the Canadian government recognized these hardships and awarded the (remaining) Hong Kong POW survivors any decent disability benefits. German POWs in Canada had things much better and were treated humanely. War and its deeds is horrific and disturbing.

Been a few really nasty bugs been doing the rounds ,which (I may regret saying this) we have so far both missed. Nice one on hitting 5K and 1M channel views, some achievement indeed and a gaw sounds real cool but I totally understand if you are keeping it to to the US and Canada only. I can't wait to see the p.o.w video there was a rather large one near where I hunt some I learned about a few years ago it just seems unreal to me they existed in our country in these what at the time were remote areas.
