I've been up that tower. It is sketchy as frig when the wind picks up! my friend has a camp on Windy lake in Tower Bay.

I've lived in Sudbury my whole life.... I had no idea this was a thing to use POW for labour.

When I was a child, my babysitter told us with pride that her hand-built house on Marcel St had survived a direct hit unscathed but the neighbour's roof was torn right off. Sure enough there it is at 5:10 . I thought she was exaggerating but this footage vindicates her! Both houses still stand to this day.

THIS IS JULY 24 / 24 . LOOK INTO THE POW CAMP AT MACTIER ONTARIO . LOCATED IN THE PARRY SOUND MUSKOKA DISTRICT .

I was born and raised in Levack and now live in mexico and always wanted to get to that POW camp . I’m now almost 80 years old and don’t plan on making the hike. 😂😂Thank you for Taking the hike for me . I’ve been metal detecting for over 50 years and would have certainly liked to have spent the day searching for treasure. But not in black fly or mosquito season. Should you ever go back there again and do some metal detecting, i’de love to watch your video.

Hey Thanks for mentioning the map PDF file. I was going to ask for it. I am going to challange this ridge in a few weeks with my kids. As a forester it will be a walk in the park as I have bush cruised years ago. Looking forward to the adventure. There are some Geocaches up there too. Going for them.

Glad to see you're finally catching some fish. Another great adventure! I think I remember that portage (and the funny little man in the other canoe?) You've got some nice outdoor gear and the hard-shell cases are a very good idea. I don't think you showed us what's inside the red cooler. Beverages?? You guys didn't take Beer out there, did ya? Lots of fish in those lakes it seems. I remember many lakes down east (Nova Scotia) had invasive species that overtook the natural trout populations, but it seems that the pike and bass are plentiful in Northern Ontario. I think the best catch of the trip was that one you snagged who was wearing a red t-shirt and a brown hat! Nice trip guys!!

Crown land garbage makes me 😠 Good trip brother. I just booked off my 2 weeks at the end of August. Between this and Lost Lakes yesterday vid I can't wait for my time off, I'm salivating for the bush.

Looked like a really good time. Now that I think of it, it’s probably been 40 years since I’ve been in a canoe or boat. 😅 Was going to rent a boat a few years ago to take my boys on the water and they both wanted absolutely nothing to do with it. 🤣🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

I have looked at those smart watches for a long while and often thought about getting one but there is so much choice and some are so expensive as well, so this was a great watch. Sure is one tough watch and man when you look at ale the features all packed in there it is a true marvel. You sure get a lot for the money and that was one great review Doug, cheers Alan
