They were not busking 2 years ago, but 4 years ago. They are playing together since middle school and they partecipated at X Factor Italia 2017, when they were 16/18 years old. Since then, they have become quite famous, earning several gold and platinum records.
Ok but we all got obsessed with Måneskin after their win. All four of them Damiano, Victoria, Thomas and Ethan are precious babies with a lot of talent that need to be protected. I was soooo happy that Italy won, they send top notch songs after their return in 2011, all in various genres.🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
add to that the UEFA championship and it's a great year to be Italian

But while people had various favourites during the ESC final, basically the whole world wanted Italy to beat England up due to the behaviour of the English 'fans' (their response towards their own players the next day states that they are not fans). So yeah, go Italy win every major thing this year, wouldn't be surprised if Italy won the selections here in Germany in September 😂(we're gonna get a new chancellor).🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

@@francescosisto7131calm down, I'm specifically talking about the lull after the 00s. Rock is not a popular genre right now. Obviously rock was massive from the 50s right up to the late 00s
Hands down the best winners even though they were my second place. So glad to see them already blowing up the charts but I just hope the globe game doesn’t ruin them. Can’t wait for their next song which is hopefully soon according to Instagram. Måneskin today and Sergey tomorrow, this is great.
They are currently the number 1 (beggin) and 9 (I wanna be your slave) on the spotify global top 200 and are in the top 20 most popular artists on spotify which measures how many people listens to their music, that's top 20 of all world artists, so currently extremely popular.

These girls are my friends! And Måneskin, what can I say that has not been said already? From the moment I finally got to know them..their San Remo performance, i felt they were special, and boy I was not disappointed after they won. They are fantastic, and they share a message that is very important for this generation. I was in awe when I saw loads of young girls and boys outside waiting when Måneskin was in Holland for a promo tv tour...Love that. Their same sex kiss on stage in Poland is very very important and much needed today in Europe where the LGBTiQ rights are at risk in some countries.

Victoria founded the group. She confessed that in First instance refused Damiano because he was too "pop" and She and Thomas,the guitarist, were much more hard rock and metal oriented. Fortunately they changed their minds.

Do reaction on Eurovision 2015 grand final opening and flag parade, it's iconic .
We can see a good thing when it is right in front of us. I'm English and I bloody love Maneskin.
What makes it more special regarding them being in the UK charts is that we rarely hear any songs on the radio sung in a foreign language, so it's already amazing that we can hear them on our radio, let alone being so popular. I feel like they're conquering the world right now, & it's well deserved. I can count on 2 hands the number of songs in a language other than English that has hit our charts since the 1970s. Ein Bißchen Frieden, the song by Nicole that won ESC in 1982, hit our charts in English as A Little Peace. We have a poor attitude to foreign languages in the UK, unfortunately.

Well actually it wasn't 2 years before Eurovision but 5 when they were playing in the streets of Rome (2016) and in 2017 they got to second place on Italian X-Factor. They recorded 2 albums before Eurovision in 2017 and 2018. Than in march 2021 they won Italian San Remo festival before winning Eurovision that same year.. They got 2 more albums out in 2021 en 2023.. And now they are known all over the world.😎

But @alexandrumic you have to show them Lucy Jones UK 2017, since you mentioned her in the previos, previos episode, I think she is one of the best vocals in ESC cause she almost sang acapella that year, like at the begining of the song instruments were nowhere to be found.
